BOOT POST
Oof. Finally got my Unmarked boots (the estimate when I ordered was 15-30 business days but it took 2.5 months to get them) and they are a MESS.
The funny thing is I actually really like them and I'm going to keep them and wear them. The last is cool and (for better or for worse lol just you wait) I can already tell this leather is going to patina aggressively. But I cannot recommend buying from this brand if they let things out of QC in this condition.
THIS BOOT HAS A FRICKIN TAN LINE BRO 😂😭
Tumblr media
Also just a lot of staining/discoloration just in general plus some really sloppy welt staining that gets on the upper in places. And there's a hole right by the welt that looks like it was probably a stitching error (actually i found these on both boots after closer examination). And a shallow cut in the leather.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just an absolute mess tbh.
I'm also annoyed because these clearly were sitting around fully built long enough to get A TAN so why did it take so long to get them to me?
But they are very cool looking and they fit really well and my plan for these was to fuck them up anyway so. I kind of love them in all their terrible glory.
But yeah I wouldn't buy anything from them again. There's always a lot of debate/discussion re heritage boots and what constitutes "Send them back" level quality issues, because this kind of boots are largely handmade and they use leathers that aren't finished with paint and plastic the way a lot of mass market shoes are which means they WILL have imperfections when you get them. But this pair of boots is a good example of definitely something worthy of being sent back. I'm not sending them back because they are fine for my purposes but if somebody else was like "is this level of quality normal?" the answer is no, this is not at all normal.

Key Places In Your Home That Must Have Persian Rugs
Tumblr media
Nothing else gives your feet the warm warmth of a rug after a long day of walking in tight footwear. You feel as though you are walking on a soft base when you enter your home, which makes you exclaim with delight, "Home, sweet home!"
Now, it is very important to get some amazing Persian rugs for sale and put them in the right locations around the house to reduce extra maintenance and installation costs. The decision to install a carpet or rug is frequently highly disturbing because of the cost and, even after that, the amount of work required to keep them clean and well maintained. But given that you have a superior flooring option, this situation could become quite stress-free with the proper help.
The following are some of the ideal locations for carpet or rug placement in a home:
In the Living Room
The living room is now a place where you may express your creativity with rugs and carpets. Materials that go well with your particular style can be chosen, and patterns can be blended. Any style of rug, from those made of natural fibers in lighter tones to those with stunning animal prints, can go well with the decor of your living room. They can be anything, depending on the surrounding furniture, decor, and wall colors, as well as how and what you want them to be.
Depending on your budget, you have several possibilities. Choose antique Persian rugs wisely so they are not big enough if you want a wall-to-wall installation or small and stylish if you only want them to stay under the center table.
In the Bedroom
The space in the house where you want to relax is undoubtedly the bedroom. Unbelievably soothing is the feeling of a carpet at the foot of the bed or surrounding the bed. You would enjoy every morning if you felt soft under your feet on a chilly winter morning. A vibrantly printed rug would serve as the focal point of the space because it contrasts with the design of your bedroom.
For a warm embrace after the fuss of the surrounding world, a friendly pastel-colored one would be better. Get smaller hand knotted Persian rugs for the kids' rooms.
In the Kitchen
A pricey carpet in the kitchen is not a cause for alarm. It is claimed that softer floors will increase your comfort. Specifically for kitchens, there are several different types of non-fiber-based rugs available. They have a soft feel, are cushioned, and seem like an even carpet. It provides your feet with the comfort they require to stand for extended periods.
The care and cleaning of these rugs are straightforward. It is a great design decision to install a rectangle-shaped carpet in the kitchen, but you must have the patience to clean up any spills that could happen daily. The kitchen should also be spacious and have lots of sunlight for the carpet to stay dry.
If you are in search of the finest Persian rugs near me, look no further than ArmanRugs!

Factors to Consider When Choosing Rug Size
Tumblr media
Introduction
The Importance of Rug Size in Interior Design
Rugs are essential elements in interior design, adding warmth, texture, and visual interest to a space. When it comes to choosing the right rug size, several factors come into play, including room size, furniture layout, and personal preference. In this article, we'll explore the various factors to consider when selecting the size of a rug, with a focus on contemporary kilim rugs.
Understanding Contemporary Kilim Rugs: A Versatile Choice
Contemporary kilim rugs are renowned for their versatility and timeless appeal. Hand-woven with intricate patterns and vibrant colors, these rugs can complement a wide range of decor styles, from modern to eclectic. Their flatweave construction makes them ideal for high-traffic areas, offering durability and easy maintenance.
Assessing Room Size and Layout
The size of the rug should be proportionate to the size of the room to create a balanced and harmonious look. In smaller rooms, a smaller rug can define the seating area and add coziness, while in larger rooms, a larger rug can anchor the space and create a sense of cohesion. Consider the dimensions of the room and the placement of furniture when selecting the size of the rug.
Defining the Seating Area: Large vs. Extra Large Kilim Rugs
When it comes to defining the seating area, the size of the rug plays a crucial role. A large kilim rug can accommodate the entire seating arrangement, including sofas, armchairs, and coffee tables, creating a cohesive and inviting space. On the other hand, an extra-large kilim rug can make a bold statement and add visual interest to the room.
Adding Visual Interest: Geometric and Modern Kilim Rugs
Geometric and modern kilim rugs are popular choices for contemporary spaces, adding a touch of sophistication and style. Their bold patterns and sleek designs can complement minimalist interiors or serve as focal points in eclectic settings. When choosing a geometric or modern kilim rug, consider the scale of the pattern and how it will interact with the other elements in the room.
Buying Kilim Rugs Online: Convenience and Variety
With the convenience of online shopping, buying kilim rugs has never been easier. Online retailers offer a wide range of options, from traditional to contemporary designs, allowing you to browse and compare rugs from the comfort of your home. When buying kilim rugs online, pay attention to the dimensions and specifications provided to ensure the rug will fit your space perfectly.
Conclusion: Finding the Perfect Rug Size for Your Space
choosing the right rug size is essential for creating a cohesive and inviting space. Whether you opt for a large kilim rug to define the seating area or an extra-large rug to make a bold statement, consider the size of the room, the layout of furniture, and the overall aesthetic you want to achieve. By taking these factors into account, you can find the perfect rug size that enhances your space and reflects your personal style.

The Ultimate Guide To Choosing The Perfect Designer Rug For Your Home
In the realm of interior design, few elements hold as much transformative power as a well-chosen rug. A designer rug not only enhances the visual appeal of a space but also adds warmth, texture, and personality to the room. However, with countless options available in the market, selecting the perfect rug for your home can be a daunting task. Fear not! In this ultimate guide, we'll walk you through everything you need to know to choose the perfect designer rug that complements your style, fits your space, and elevates your home décor.
Tumblr media
1. Understand Your Space: Before diving into the world of rugs, it's crucial to understand the specific needs and characteristics of your space. Take note of the room's dimensions, layout, and existing décor style. Consider factors such as foot traffic, natural light, and the function of the room to determine the most suitable type of rug for your space.
2. Define Your Style: Rugs come in a plethora of styles, ranging from traditional Oriental designs to modern geometric patterns. Take cues from your existing décor style and personal preferences to narrow down your options. Whether you're drawn to classic elegance, contemporary minimalism, or eclectic bohemian vibes, there's a rug out there to complement your unique aesthetic.
3. Choose the Right Size: Size matters when it comes to rugs. A rug that is small can make the room feel disjointed, while an oversized rug can overwhelm the space. Aim to select a rug that anchors the key furniture pieces in the room while leaving enough space around the edges for a balanced look. Consider using painter's tape to outline the desired rug dimensions on the floor before making a purchase.
4. Consider Material and Texture: The material and texture of a rug play a significant role in its look, feel, and durability. The Common rug materials include wool, cotton, silk, jute, and synthetic fibers. Each material offers unique characteristics in terms of softness, resilience, and maintenance requirements. Consider factors such as comfort, durability, and ease of cleaning when choosing the right material for your rug. Additionally, explore different textures, from plush shaggy rugs to flat-woven kilims, to add visual interest and depth to your space.
5. Embrace Color and Pattern: Rugs are a fantastic way to inject color and pattern into your home décor scheme. Whether you prefer bold, eye-catching hues or subtle, neutral tones, there's a rug to suit every taste. Consider the overall color palette of the room and how the rug will complement or contrast with existing furnishings and accessories. Don't be afraid to experiment with patterns, from timeless stripes and florals to contemporary geometrics and abstract designs, to add personality and visual intrigue to your space.
6. Layer for Depth and Dimension: Layering rugs is a creative way to add depth, dimension, and visual interest to your space. Experiment with layering different-sized rugs in complementary colors, textures, and patterns to create a curated, eclectic look. Place a smaller rug on top of a larger one to define specific areas within the room, such as seating arrangements or dining zones. Not only does layering rugs add warmth and coziness to the space, but it also allows you to showcase multiple design elements simultaneously.
7. Budget Wisely: While designer rugs can be a worthwhile investment in elevating your home décor, it's essential to set a realistic budget before beginning your search. Determine how much you're willing to spend on a rug and prioritize factors such as quality, material, and craftsmanship within your budget constraints. Keep in mind that rugs come in a wide price range, from budget-friendly options to high-end luxury pieces, so there's something for every budget and taste.
8. Test Before You Commit: Before making a final decision, it's crucial to see how the rug looks and feels in your space. Whenever possible, request rug samples or swatches to assess the color, texture, and quality firsthand. If shopping in-store, take advantage of the opportunity to view the rug in different lighting conditions and against various furniture pieces to ensure it complements your space seamlessly. For online purchases, read customer reviews, check return policies, and request additional photos or videos to make an informed decision.
At The End:
Choosing the perfect designer rug for your home is a process that requires careful consideration of various factors, including space, style, size, material, color, and budget. By understanding your space, defining your style preferences, and exploring a wide range of options, you can find a rug that not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of your home but also reflects your personality and enhances your quality of life.

The Art of Crafting Custom Handmade Carpets and Handmade Rugs
Crafting a carpet or rug by hand is an intricate process that has been passed down through generations, blending creativity with tradition. These custom pieces are more than just decorative elements; they are works of art that tell stories, reflect cultures, and enhance spaces. Let’s explore the fascinating art behind creating these exquisite custom handmade carpets and rugs.
Tumblr media
1. The Journey Begins: Designing with Vision
The process of creating a custom carpet or rug starts with a vision. Whether it's for a modern home or a traditional setting, the design is the foundation. Designers work closely with clients to understand their preferences, ensuring the final piece aligns with their personal style and the space it will inhabit. Inspiration can come from various sources, including nature, architecture, and historical patterns.
Once the design is finalized, it’s carefully translated into a detailed blueprint. This blueprint serves as the guide for the artisans who will bring the design to life. Each color, pattern, and motif is meticulously planned to ensure the end product is both beautiful and functional.
2. Selecting the Finest Materials
The choice of materials is crucial in crafting a high-quality carpet or rug. Natural fibers such as wool, silk, and cotton are often preferred for their durability, texture, and aesthetic appeal. Wool, for instance, is known for its resilience and ability to hold vibrant colors, making it a popular choice for both custom carpets and handmade rugs.
In some cases, more luxurious materials like silk are used to add a touch of elegance and softness. The selection of materials is not just about appearance; it also affects the texture, durability, and overall feel of the carpet or rug.
3. The Weaving Process: A Dance of Precision
Weaving a custom carpet or rug by hand is a time-consuming and labor-intensive process. Artisans, often working on traditional looms, weave the fibers together, knot by knot, to create the desired pattern. The level of detail in each knot determines the rug’s density and quality.
This process can take months, depending on the size and complexity of the design. The artisans’ skill and experience play a significant role in ensuring the final product is flawless. Each knot is carefully placed, and every row is meticulously aligned to create a cohesive and balanced design.
4. Bringing the Design to Life: Dyeing and Coloring
The colors used in custom handmade carpets and rugs are often created using natural dyes derived from plants, minerals, and other organic sources. These natural dyes offer a rich palette of colors that are both vibrant and long-lasting.
The dyeing process requires careful attention to detail to achieve the exact shade needed for each part of the design. Artisans must ensure that the colors are evenly applied and that they will withstand the test of time. This step is crucial in maintaining the integrity and beauty of the finished piece.
5. Finishing Touches: Washing and Trimming
Once the weaving is complete, the carpet or rug undergoes a series of finishing touches. Washing is an essential step that helps to soften the fibers, set the dyes, and remove any impurities. After washing, the rug is trimmed to ensure that all the fibers are of uniform length, giving it a polished and refined appearance.
In some cases, additional embellishments like embroidery or fringe may be added to enhance the rug’s design. These final details add character and uniqueness, making each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
6. A Timeless Masterpiece
The end result of this painstaking process is a custom handmade carpet or rug that is not only beautiful but also rich in history and craftsmanship. These pieces are designed to last for generations, becoming cherished heirlooms that can be passed down through families.
Each carpet and rug tells a story—of the artisans who crafted it, the culture it represents, and the space it was created for. This connection to tradition and artistry is what makes custom handmade carpets and rugs so special.
Conclusion: A Legacy of Craftsmanship
The art of crafting these unique pieces is a testament to human creativity and dedication. It’s a process that requires not just skill, but also passion and respect for the traditions that have been handed down through the ages. When you invest in custom carpets or handmade rugs, you’re not just buying a product; you’re acquiring a piece of art that embodies the legacy of craftsmanship.
