All the coats have button closings with qr codes. the qr codes when scanned take the wearer to a page on this TUMBLR that shows the care instructions as well as information about the materials etc (material passport, disection of the garment..). this choice was taken as usually people tend to cut off tags found inside of garments, by placing a way to get to the care instructions on a trim ensures that info is always ready at the customer’s finger tips.

DESIGN 5. variation of design 4 with allover code waste graffit print.

DESIGN 4. the design is mid thigh/knee length. takes inspiration from DESIGN 1 with the graffiti prints. this one also features the code waste chrome print in order to link back to the other designs that feature chrome finishes

DESIGN 2. inspired by the back print showcased in the previous check, transformed into an all over print contrasting between chrome and matte finishes.

DESIGN 1. inspired by the shape of a shawl. the design is a little bit off the shoulder and features graffiti like prints all over the design that showcase care instructions, as well as the logo, and sentences such as “made from 100% your waste” and “repurposed with love”

more exaggerated displacement maps. i find this very cool but i’m not sure whether it would work if animated.

animation downloaded from Mixamo. i used this not only to see how the fabric performs but also how the garment sits on the body. the design kept on falling off the shoulders when the avatar would walk, so i adjusted the design until it would sit right and finally removed the avatar for the animation.

after getting the cropped design done, i wanted to see what the coat would look like if it had an all over puffer print.

i edited the prototype design to be more cropped and more fitted to the body as i wanted to have another go with this design on lens. since i removed the back puffer print from the big design i decided to put it back on this one.
