Claire’s eyes are wide as she fights the urge to cry, losing the battle as he reverently draws her hand around to kiss her wedding ring.

“There are days I believe ye were only shining for me.”

She wonders how he does it; how he can undo her with words. As a tear slides over the apple of her cheek, she speaks quietly, leaning in so that the words can fall softly across his lips.

“That’s because I was. I am.”

I just felt like you should know the only reason any of my fic is posted when I say it will be is because I have a verra demanding (SAID WITH LOVE) wife. Otherwise, I'd live in a constant state of 'I'm going to do the thing!!!' Narrator: She, in fact, did not do the thing. She did no things.' Thank you for this lovely message! I should- and hope to one day- get back to a somewhat consistent schedule. Life just hasn’t allowed for that in the past 6 months and that is one hundred percent okay! I’ve been mellow for the past few months with not answering, but sometimes they just get you on the days when there’s a shit storm in real life. 

At the end of the day we have to remember that we’re all human and we’re here for the love and enjoyment of a show we all mutually love. It’s fun, it’s not our job. I can’t wait to read what YOU have coming for us next! ❤️
