Which date of the tour did you attend? 09/13/22, Little Caesars Arena, Detroit

When did you get your tickets for your show? Was it a struggle, or were they easy to grab? They were super fucking hard. I bought em back in 2020 when tickets went on sale. Went in trying to get halfway decent seat and ended up getting obstructed view behind the stage.

Did you attend with anyone else? I went with my Mom and Dad

What did you wear? I wore my favorite My Chem shirt I’ve had since I was 11 or 12, faded to absolute shit looks about a decade old even though it’s only been 4 years. Same skinny jeans and vans I’ve worn almost every day since middle school. Also wore all my my chem jewelry and the DD makeup palette.

Where were your seats? The highest most obstructed seats in the arena. Ended up sitting on the stairs the whole show, lol.

What was your favorite song(s) from the setlist they played at your show? Mama and S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W/ have always held a special place in my heart.

What song were you most hoping to hear? Did you get to hear it? Was really hoping for Kill All Your Friends or F.T.W.W.W., but those were pipe dreams I’ll admit

What was your favorite moment from the show? The moment they walked on stage and I saw Gerard wearing a nurse costume, especially since I had really been hoping for them to wear something insane.

What was the most unexpected moment from the show? When Gee started yelling Take Your Meds during DESTROYA

Did you snag any merch? What pieces? I got the Boy Zone tee and the Tramp Stamp tee

Many fans describe seeing MCR live as feeling like coming home. Did you experience anything like that at your show? Literally the best moment of my life. They’ve saved me 18 times since I found them when I was 11, so it felt like fulfilling a middle school pipe dream and in that moment I knew everything would be alright.

If you could change one thing about your show experience, what would it be? The fucking seats. Literally perfect night, but would’ve been better if I wasn’t 100 ft in the air.

Has your perspective or opinion about the band changed since seeing them on this tour? If so, in what way? Nope. They’ve always been the band that felt like a family and I guess I feel closer to them now.

What advice would you give to people seeing My Chemical Romance in the future? Get there early. Merch lines were lining the entire arena so get there early and get your merch.

Anything we didn't ask that you feel obliged to share or talk about? Idk, I guess it just feels good to get it off my chest about how much this band has given to me. I’ve met friends because of them, found interests because of them, and most of all survived because of them. When I was 11 I didn’t think I’d make it past 13, and now at 16 they’ve saved me over 20 times from suicidal ideation. They made me feel not alone when I was at my lowest and I genuinely owe my life to them because if I didn’t I wouldn’t be here if they never happened.
