July 4, 2023
This piece quickly came about as I thought, where could I watch fireworks tonight, being it’s the 4th of July. Eddie doesn’t understand football but whenever he gets stuck watching it, he chooses which team to cheer for by which team colors are better.
This pisses Uncle Wayne and Steve off every time because Eddie’s “favorites” are never their teams. It doesn’t help that Eddie starts buying team merch in those colors too and wearing them whenever he can.

oh yeah almost forgot. Me and Aly also made a few discord touchdown stickers! 🤣
Did you know that the Detroit Lions used to have a mascot duo? Roary had a sidekick named Cub!
Brought to life by the incredible Blanche Verhougstraete. Blanche was born about 1928 in Belgium, to parents Morse and Sophia. In 1938, she was 10 years old when she landed the job with the Detroit Lions living in Detroit with her father, mother and 2 sisters. She was passionate about dance and performing, an article from August 1937 mentions her notable dancing while attending the prestigious Roth and Berdun dance studios.
Blanche retired in 1977 after a quarter of a century of being a Sunday favorite of millions of Lion’s Fans. “Standing at 4 feet 5”, Miss Verhougstraete has donned her tawny uniform and run, cheered, tumbled and cavorted during every Lions home game except one!”
