       Jeremia was avoiding her Charms homework, roaming around the school grounds in the short amount of time before she had to be in her common room and enjoying a break from the excitement of the upcoming tasks. Her foot caught a piece of loose rock, sending it scattering across the stone path, and she froze - heart in her throat- as something streaked right in front of her, nearly making her stumble. Swearing under her breath Jeremia snapped her head around to follow what she thought was a cat; she exhaled slowly as a furry tail brushed across the ground, two glowing eyes peering at her judgingly in the approaching twilight.

       "Who do you belong to?" she asked sweetly, crouching down to get at eye level with the creature. Normally she wasn't a cat person, but with so many new students around a student's pet really shouldn't have been wandering around the castle grounds. The cat wasn't familiar to her, not that she could recognize every single pet at Hogwarts, but it just felt different. Maybe it belonged to one of the other school's students. The cat slunk out quickly, his forehead bumping into her hand needingly.
