Guys ngl I’ve been playing witch’s castle and I really do not like the gacha system (dw this post doesn’t have any lore spoilers). Like I was already very iffy about the gacha system from crk but I didn’t realize it could get WORSE. It’s practically shameless how blatantly they want your money. Like for example let’s say I’m rolling for a specific cookie, you’re telling me I need to roll dice for a CHANCE to fill up the cookie meter? THEN I have a VERY SLIM CHANCE at getting that cookie, OR I get soulstones which I need TWENTY OF to get the FULL COOKIE?? I’m sorry but WHERE is the PITY SYSTEM???? And the fact that there isn’t a store and you have to roll for FURNITURE TOO??? I also have gripes about the actual gameplay aspect but it’s basically the same gripes I have with. Christ. Puzzle world. Like I’m gonna go insane, I hate being nasty in my posts but this game hits all of the wrong buttons for me personally, am I the only one, like is this an unpopular opinion???????? Why must you fight him after he saved you!? Seeing you try and shove him away from yourself, screaming, crying, begging, trying to get back to the world that was trying to corrupt you…take you away from him… “why must you fight me!?I’m only doing what’s best for you!” At some point, Dark Cacao would have enough and lock you in your isolated room with watchers guarding your door for days, Dark Cacao coming in every day in hopes you would run into his arms and need him. If you haven’t submit to his demands then he would leave you locked in until the next time he came by.

Just pretend to submit for your sanity and his trust, maybe he’ll let you out as long as he trusts you 😉

One word, four syllables. De-lu-soin-al. She firmly believes that you have been g*slit into hating her or that you were severely sick, how could you possibly want to run away from her!? You must be sick! She sets herself into the mindset of your caretaker, your savior. She would often find herself laying on your bed with you, held tightly to her chest. Yes, you still fought her for your “freedom”, but she wouldn’t let you….she needed you, just as much as you needed her.

“Please, my little bee, stop fighting me! Let me help you!”

“JUST LET ME CURE YOU! THOSE HORRIBLE PEOPLE INFECTED YOUR MIND, AND I NEED TO HELP YOU!”

“Oh, you can just stop trying now~ ..why? Cause you’re NOT gonna win!~ Hahahaha!” GCC would often grab you by your arms and fly up high into the sky, dangling you by your arms as you frantically try to hold onto her for dear life. Once she thinks you’ve had enough, she clutches you to her chest and slowly floated down to the ground. She then carried you back to her bedroom and cuddled you close to her chest.

“If you ever run away from me, I promise you, I will always find you…”

“I love you..even if you test me so much…”

“Please…I’ve tried for so long to get you here, where it is SAFE for you..! Just let me love you….” This cookie- OMG. He would try his best to understand why you were fighting against his love but all cookies have a breaking point. He would drag you to his bedroom and just lay on his bed, his arms wrapped around you for dear life. “My love….I love you but you test me so much….but I’ll keep trying…”

Only a small handful of cookies have seen HBC anything BUT joyful. But one day, you were the unfortunate Cookie to witness something that seemed…out of character for HBC, her RAGE. All of her out of character-ness at that moment stemmed from you trying to fight her for your freedom…

“WHY MUST YOU BE SO STUBBORN!? DON’T YOU REALIZE HOW MUCH I NEED YOU AND HOW MUCH YOU MEAN TO ME!? You’re my missing piece….a part of me that was taken from me before I was born….and I-…I can’t lose you again….you complete me…just please….stop fighting and stay with me….”

By the end of her tirade, you would be pinned against a wall or her bed (get your head outta the gutter.) with HBC’s hands death gripping your arms to your side and her head pressed against your chest. Tears would be flowing from her eyes and the room would be deathly silent.

Just give her what she wants….all she has left of her mental wellbeing is you…

Once again, I find myself disappointed by Devsis AND the cookie run community, and how alarmingly racist a lot of people are.

This will be a discussion on not just Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures, but also the community's response against the wider issue. It's gonna be long, so buckle up.

1. What's going on with Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures?

To no one's surprise, it's racism against Black people and Indigenous people, yey! /S

Why is this an issue? Because these traditional practices and clothing of people of color (especially those of black and native american descent) have often been used as just costumes and props instead of being respected as what it is, a culture that is to be respected.

2. The community's response.

Celezticuh and several other members of the CRTOA discord have brought up this issue in the official discord server, but have experienced pushback FROM THE COOKIE RUN COMMUNITY ITSELF.

Here are some notable people defending this behavior.

Let me be clear, as an asian myself, telling people that "Oh they're asian, they don't know!" Or "They don't care!" Is -newsflash- ALSO RACIST TOWARDS ASIAN PEOPLE??????

We here in asia face discrimination for not being light skinned, skinny, and colorism. It's not as bad as being the subject of extreme racism, but it has negative effects on our society. And it disgusts me how people genuinely think that just because they're korean, means they get a free pass to be disrespectful towards other people outside of their circle.

Secondly, they have fans INTERNATIONALLY. If they only cared about korean fans, they would not have as big of an impact on the wider scale as they do. They know we (the people outside of korea) have our eyes on them. And people who say that they don't know, are full of bullshit.

3. Why has there no action been taken against this?

A big issue as to why this has never reached Devsister's ears is because the Korean community isn't as outraged at this compared to the international audience. Now, I am not saying we should automatically assume any and all korean players are as racist as the company, but I'd chalk it up to ignorance, which still sucks let's be real.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that the international community has been calling for protests and asking for the trucks to be delivered again, but unless we have support from the korean community, it's looking to be highly unlikely.

So here we ask for people to help us get into contact with someone from the korean community who's willing to help get the trucks set up again.

I'm not the best at conclusions, however, I want to leave off with a message.

The cookie run community has festered some of the most racist, vile garbage of people I've ever seen. Not just towards black and non pale skinned people of color, but even towards the asians you claim to defend themselves (Dark Cacao, Affogato and Peach Blossoms are barely scratching the surface.).

Cookie run fans, please do better.

Warning to all you White Lily defenders, or just people that like her a lot, this is yet another post of me ranting about something I don't like about her. If you don't want to read this, don't, that's your choice, and this is also just my opinion that you are allowed to not agree with. Just don't come after me for it.

Okay so, there is one thing that I really don't like about White Lily, and it's that she was forgiven way too easily, and instead of feeling bad about everything she did, she felt bad about the one thing she did, after making it right(the beasts being freed) but them Dark Choco when he left the COD and abandoned the sword, he didn't want to instantly go back home. He went out to explore and(idk if this is correct I haven't gotten that far yet) help others to redeem himself. I mean Dark Choco literally went back home to give his kingdom the cure and safe everyone that was sick. That's an action worthy of being forgiveness, and also might I mention White Lily caused this. She's the reason that Mystic flour is free, and I'm pretty sure she has something to do with the cursed sword aswell. And yet she only felt bad after the beasts were imprisoned again, when she was the reason they were freed to begin with. I don't understand how they can write a pretty great redemption arc for one character(Dark Choco) where he instead of just assuming he's forgiven, he leaves to go find ways to redeem himself. But then they write an, in my opinion, stupid redemption arc, where she only feels bad after fixing one of the many wrongs she has done. And she didn't even fix it(as we now know)

And another thing that i just thought of, this is more about the way the story is written. It really seems like with White Lilys update, devsisters were trying to like shove it in our face that White Lily isn't bad or at fault for her mistakes, I feel like it was just trying to get us to like her. I understand that since White Lily is in game fully now, that means Dark Enchantress won't be our main antagonist, and to continue the game it needed an antagonist, so I get that, but I wish they hadn't gone about it that way.

That's it, that's all I have to say this time. Again, this is my opinion, you are all free to have yours, just please, please don't come after me for this.

My CRK hot takes (character edition)

Yeah, you knew this was bound to happen. So, here are my Cookie Run Kingdom hot takes! Please do not read beyond this point if you are easily offended by someone else's opinion because I do not feel like listening to some of you guys whine in the comments.

So, here they are lol:

Ok, now let me explain my takes! I couldn't really fit everything into the comic, because they're just too small and I don't think I can do it justice. So, here are my explanations!

1.) "Black Pearl is an overrated character and didn't deserve to be Cookie of the Year."

I honestly do not understand why she’s so popular, other than that her design is pretty and she’s VERY good skill-wise. Other than that… there’s nothing really that I like about her. Don’t get me wrong, she’s not criminally offensive compared to other characters, but all she is to me is a simple rehash of Dark Choco Cookie’s character, but worse. If anything, Sherbert Cookie should’ve been Cookie of the Year and not her! He’s an amazingly written character compared to her and I actually feel very sorry for, unlike Black Pearl. The only reason why she got Cookie of the Year is that she’s pretty. That’s it.

2.) "Clotted Cream can go fuck himself."

I despise this character with a passion. I also do not understand the appeal of Clotted Cream. There is just something about him that I just do not like! The moment I laid eyes on him in Cookie Odyssey, I immediately thought he was the man behind the slaughter and I feel like that was also half of the fandom at the time when Cookie Odyssey was released. Do I even need to mention the scene where he confronts the ancients with Dark Enchantress Cookie’s identity? I mean, yes, it should’ve been said, but holy fuck he could NOT shut his fucking mouth! Besides, HE started the whole damn thing! If anything, Dark Cacao should AT LEAST knock some fucking sense into him. I would not be even mad. Also, he’s fucking annoying to me. Why does he not have a British accent?! WHY?!-

3.) "LicoPom is a good ship"

I stand by this and I shall explain myself now. Both Pomegranate and Licorice Cookie are shitty people and they both treat Dark Choco like garbage. The ONLY reason why people say this ship is bad is because Pomegranate is shitty towards Choco. Y'all, you DO realize Licorice also uses Dark Choco as a punching bag too, right? Not only does Licorice throw Dark Choco under the bus by mentioning him to get him in trouble, but ALSO calls him names. Not to mention that Licorice is treated the best by Pomegranate, compared to the others, and you can see that they care about each other (at least, Licorice does, at the end of episode 14, where he tells her that she's hurt and they need to retreat.) They deserve each other, honestly.

4.) "The Heroes of the Dark Cacao Update is THE BEST CRK Update."

Do I really need to explain why? I mean, this update is CARRIED by its story ALONE! Not to mention we got Dark Cacao: One of the BEST written characters in the entire game, Affogato Cookie, Caramel Arrow Cookie: Dark Choco's wife/j and certified Girlboss, and we got to learn more about Dark Choco Cookie as a character! Whoever says this update is bad is a liar-

5.) "Sea Fairy is a mid character"

I don't think I need to explain why. We know very little about her, even after the Mermaid update we only know that she's connected to the Mermaids and that's kinda it. I mean, I don't hate her at all, but I wish we had a little more info about her.

6.) "Pudding Cookie should be introduced into Kingdom for the next Krima update"

Ok, not much of a hot take but more of an opinion. I mean, c'mon! Look at her!! We need an update where she's introduced along with other Christmas Cookies with their own little story, like in ovenbreak! Please, Devsisters, do it-

Cookie of the Week: Affogato Cookie

This Cookie of the Week is...

Cookie name: Affogato Cookie

Pronouns: He/Him

Lore: A hint we get of Affogato’s past is that he did not belong inside the Coffee Tribe. He traveled a bit before settling down in the Dark Cacao Kingdom’s Citadel. He was the reason for Caramel Arrow's banishment and sowing the seeds of doubt about Dark Cacao's reign. He played a big role in Episodes 13 and 14 where he steals the throne from Dark Cacao. Once GingerBrave and his friends defeated him, Affogato escaped the Dark Cacao kingdom and joined forces with Dark Enchantress’s forces. His next appearance is in the last chapter of the Cookie Odyssey: the battle between Dark Enchantress’s forces and the Crème Republic. Since then, he had only made minor appearances in the background.

Personality: Affogato has spent much of his life looking for a place to live as he pleases. He had earned the trust of Dark Cacao and his advisors. He'll see Cookies like Caramel Arrow as an obstacle to his goal. It is clear that he is after Dark Cacao's throne and will go to any lengths to reach it, from using manipulation to shadowy magic. He can be persuasive (having an entire following of disciples, shamans, and priests).

Skills: Affogato's Skill is called Sweet Scheme. This skill has Affogato secretly cursing the enemy with the highest ATK. The cursed target cannot get any buff effects for a time limit as well as receiving amplified debuffs and spreading Poison inflicting periodic damage to them. If the Poison is dispelled, it will cause great damage to nearby enemies.

Costumes: Affogato has no costumes.

Cookie Decor: Affogato does have a Cookie Decor called Altar of Bittersweet Rituals. That little snake…

Thoughts: This snake (or fish) has so many story ideas that Devsisters could do! Like what could happen if he met Espresso and Latte.

Can't belive it took 3 years for DJ to finally appear and speak in another story event. Safe to say I'm over the moon<3

I would LOVE to know why or how DJ found themselves in Mint Wafer and Strawberry Stick's basement?? Like, aren't they a renowned celebrity with (I presume) little time on their hands? The interaction is quite wholesome nonetheless. :3 It's so nice to see a different side of DJ Cookie.

In fact, this might be the first time we've ever gotten to see DJ interacting with someone off-stage. Their speech honestly seems more lax and almost more civil than compared to how they speak on stage. That, or the writing team have just forgotten how to write DJ...😭 Not an impossible possibility... I do wonder, though, if this might suggest their stage persona is really just that: a persona. And they're actually much more laid-back and reserved behind closed doors. I could also just be looking way too much into this, lmao. XD I'll do what I have to do for more DJ lore crumbs!

As sweet as this interaction is, I'm disappointed they didn't bother to shade more than one sprite for DJ Cookie. DJ is certainly the king of keeping a poker face in ovenbreak story events, lmao...🙏 I also wish they'd do more than just recycle already known tidbits and facts about them that's stated in their story. We are DYINGGG to know more about them. Please, devsisters, include DJ more often!! Give us more lore already!

Well, at least one good thing about a strong absence of character lore, is that we get to just make it ourselves.

Someone please tell me that I'm not the only one who thinks Devsisters em ... ruined Licorice’s character a little..? But seriously, not even a little. Yes, I liked his relationship with Rocky. But I still cringing at this if I compare it with how Devsisters presented Licorice before. Now there is VERY little content with him and if you compare with last year there will be a huge difference. Do you remember the time when the Dark Cacao Kingdom update only recently come out and everyone was anticipating that there would be more information about licorice village? Remember that time when everyone took Licorice at least somewhat seriously and expected to know his backstory? And remember some people even thought that he was overrated?? Ahaha, if only that were so..

Now there is literally nothing left of all this and Licorice is perceived by everyone as some kind of idiot with childish behavior who is hardly capable of anything ("thanks" also in part to the fandom for this..). I wish Devsisters would pay more attention to existing characters, but every time I have less and less hope for this, which is sad(
