Normal update, autumn XXIV
Happy orange season, evriwan. We have survived the solstice so I am officialy late, yet again. I'd say we have survived the year but still a few days left so
Current game stuff
Took part in yuri jam just like I said I would. As such, Void Hyperion has been officially released, yay! Everything's on the page bur in short - we have mechas [not shown], fights [kinda shown], yuri, omegaverse, zergs [nor rly visible yet but] and... I guess that's it, actually. If you read all these yuri mecha ABO webnovels, it's kinda like them but significantly shorter. Go play it. I say that but it's not actually the most definitive edition or anything. We plan to add two more endings and probably 5 or so CGs? I kinda didn't have much time during the jam and am still busy but will work on it during february so in march it'll probably be out. Kinda depends on how it goes with programmig fight stuff since I'm not that good at it and wanted to draw more effects so it's all dynamic and cool. Either way, it's playable now so go check it out.
No real updates on everything else besides the fact that nothing's been dropped, nothing's been added and I'm thinking about some stuff but since no work on that has been started, it's like it doesn't exist. So yeah, no updates besides yurige.

Insect (adjacent) jam was a total flop. Zero entries. That's on me cause I did no marketing and just suddenly went and started the jam cause I forgot when it was even supposed to start and all. Yeah.
Object Head Jam v2 might or might not be happening next year, still not sure. Either way, at some point Miss Mermelada will be back.
I planned to host Underwater Jam in 2025 but I also wanted to have Omegaverse jam and kinda planned it for 2025... last year, I think? But, I mean, multiple jams in a year, all of which I'd like to take part in? That's work. Still have to think a bit more on that so just don't be surprised whichever ends up happening, it was meant to be.

Im gonna be posting all my Eggs Attorney Devstuff here from now on!
Welcome to the Official DevPage for Eggs Attorney!
At the time of writing this, Eggs Attorney is a Fangame Concept, a crossover of Ace Attorney and the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, taking place within the Eggman Empire.
You will play as Reiker Strait, a fledgling Defense Attorney that's found himself no other choice than to work with Eggman. Though he questions the Doctor's Morals and Schemes, he continues to defend any client he's assigned to the bitter end, with the help of his legal aide Yanshu Dryll, a skilled technician originally working as a RoboTech for Eggman!
This has been a passion project for all of us, and we look forward to sharing the stories these two have to offer as soon as possible! In the meantime, we hope to show off our progress here, as well as answer any questions you may have!

hmm this late into game development and only now do i realize that the code i have for the player character’s movement speed is counting x and z axis speed separately, meaning that, if you press forward and right and angle yourself at like 45 degrees you would move faster forward than if you just press forward while facing straight
and this increased speed can also allow you to phase through solid matter, which is an issue

Normal update, autumn??? XXIII
Okay, so I thought it would be a nice, winter quarterly update but turns out the last one was titled summer and I guess going by calendar, winter barely started so it's??? autumn??? I guess??? Last day of the year but autumn, sure, let's go with that. That being the case, I have no new year's pic for y'all cause I can't draw I was devving uhh, rly hard, let's say. Totally.
Anyway, the mushroom jam has ended and I planned to have a release update BUT THEN I DIDN'T FINISH THE GAME ON TIME YET AGAIN, who would've thought, so, like, there's nothing. I mean, something exists but yeah >_> I'll write a devlog when it finally looks presentable. Moving on...
Current game stuff
The spooktober game has been finished, kinda - The enmity of dead things. It, well, it works and it contains the full script and everything but lacks both art and music cause I couldn't finish it on time laziness goes brrr. Then I wanted a break and worked on other games and kinda left it like that... So that's the first item on my "Finally finish it in 2024, you stupid fuck" list. All in all it wasn't a total failure and I had fun for the most part. Committing to my bad decisions [look at the textbox] is actually the main cause the game wasn't finished on time... You live and don't learn.
The failure of the year... Or quarter at least - Mushroom game. Despite being technically published to add it to the jam, it's so unfinished I won't even link it here. And it's all my fault cause I was being lazy and, as usual, forgot I can't actually program. Yeah...
Helped with Cool Days. There's really not much of my work there, I honestly considered making a new category for games I kinda helped with but tbh the amount of work actually finished was close to zero but hey, it's still more than nothing so Check it out, it has cool graphics.
The ace teens game got shelved/postponed and it's not my fault this time but instead we're working on a fantasy kinda thing for Ace jam [and maybe also Zack jam while we're at it but that might've been said in jest]. Fortunately it's small enough I don't expect any delays. I can say it involves a golem who isn't a humanoid (灬˘╰╯˘灬)♥。・゚
Now for the big thing.

IMPOSTOR SYNDROME - is a game for winter jam which also happens to be a demo cause we ran out of time but! - it will be finished soon-ish. I'll share more details in the release devlog so if the link to the game works already, that means the page's up and so is all the info. If it doesn't work, check again in a few hours but I'm assuming most people who actually read all that will do so post winter jam anyway.
Genre wise it's an otome chat sim comedy that's extremely self indulged and I'm not ashamed of that. Gotta make games for yourself and all that. Though, again, my own conribution to the development process remains minimal. I'm truly becoming the idea guy.
The "Finally finish it in 2024, you stupid fuck" list aka the stuff that should've been finished already but isn't
Umm, yeah, everything. Or, to be more specific, Mushroom game and Enmity take priority here but all the other games that needed some quality of life adjustments like making the web build work on mobile etc are also included [which is kinda funny cause a lot of them could be corrected in like an hour if I actually sat and did just that].
It's been more than three years since I released Argousze and yes, you gessed it, it's also unfinished. Which is extra funny in a pathetic way cause it was supposed to be a low effort game with, like, 2k words of wordcount. To be fair I kinda dropped it cause I couldn't design my aliens but maybe I'll actually get a good idea for once and manage to release it on its fourth anniversary. That'd be nice.
Other than that, well... That's more of a resolution than anything but I should stop constantly joining new teams and all... And either take a proper dev break or work on ye olde projects waiting for me since the beginning of HS. I'll become older than my oldest LI before I finish them at this point lol

This year we're gonna have two new jams instead of one. Stuff happened and yeah. No links just yet cause not only are the pages not finished but there's also no planned date/duration beyond 'sometime in the later part of the year'.
The first jam is Tentacle jam which, I'm pretty sure, would bring us eroges. This was not my intention and all kind of sfw tentacles are allowed but tbh as long as there's a proper story, even a nukige would pass. Basically the rules remain like in all the previous jams I hosted.
The second jam is Insect [adjacent] jam which actually accepts all kinds of arthropods but it started as just insect jam and I wanted to keep the name. So yeah. Obviously more detailed rules of what's allowed would be written on the page when it's up properly and not in a half dead state like right now.
Incidentally, whatever the date ends up being, both of these jams would be hosted at the same time so if you wanted to make a story taking place underwater or something, you could submit it to both of these jams. Neat, right?

i suck at code majorly.
I wanted to make A date? With Blue! before Cat Cult Cafe because it is a smaller, simpler, first game. I thought it would be a good way to learn how to code!
...
Well, it's not working for me rn. So I am going to take a little time to actually learn python and more of how renpy works! This will affect how fast the game comes out but I will try to publish "demo" unfinished sections of the game moreso then before so the game may not seem like much with each "update" until then.
In regards to adwb the art is simple (doesn't change too much) and is mostly sprites and cgs, there's just one major hurdle in the production is code for a fake "phone" (aka customizing the nvl in renpy) I just can't wrap my head around it, so if anyone has any tips on that, that would be more than welcome.

Normal update, winter XXV
Over a week late, yet again. [I actually planned to write this in february beferoe I remembered spring starts in march]. Tis the joke day but we mean business. I mean, no business, actually. But y'know... Anywaaayyysss...
Current game stuff
Surprising absolutely no one, there's like no progress I can comment on. I was supposed to finish the other ending art and stuff for Void Hyperion but yeaaahhh... I'll do it this year, trust. And will get better at programming while I'm at it.
I won't give you a story of how I've been so insanely busy and blah blah blah cause while I was actually busy irl, a part of it is just me being lazy so there's that. I planned to work on some jam stuff, eg. my A/B/O jam project soon but imma be out in the field bothering people I don't know and that drains my social battery way too much so don't expect anything dev wise.
I can say I did a little something - literally one pic - for thug's april fools game so if you want some more Pumpkin Eater content, look there. It should be out within a few hours, I'm asssuming.

I mentioned it before but I can do it again, OMEGAVERSE JAM IS HAPPENING, YAAAY! Maybe I'll make some fanart to have shareable art to promote the jam? Idk yet. You'll see what I actually read ;;; There's also a pretty high possibility we'd have two jams next year but I'm more of a consultant for the other host as they never hosted a jam before. Will probably post the details in a few months.
And this is technically unrelated but Ossan jam is happening yet again and while I'm personally not taking part, there's still a month left so, y'know, make a game? :D

Update!! So I am making the bg's in 2d for now. I will do them in 3d for ccc but I want to get adwb out faster, because it's the only major roadblock in development.
Also I think the day 1 demo will be out in the next 1 or 2 weeks!

I'll put this in the pinned post but I need to make something clear.
I have a lot of Li's in ccc, if you ask a question about the whole cast it's going to take a while for me to answer. Now while I don't mind these questions at all it would be nice to have some variety.
Also, I know I'm slow with answering the questions and that's simply because I am incompetent (if it contains the whole cast) it can take up to ~45 minutes for me to do and I don't generally have the willpower to start that.

All sorts of Apache configuration business, which turned out to be a lot of setting file permissions.
chmod g=rw myfile gives read and write permissions to all of the current group members for myfile
87% of the CSS being loaded on my current project aren't being used
