I wanted to make a Lucio-like character for a Dungeons and Dragons game for the longest time, actually

He'd look like Summer Lucio, because hot, and act like a total himbo, but his stupidity is very obfuscating and he'd be really smart and especially good with knowledge on history and religion and that kind of thing, but wouldn't really share his insights with the group, so they would assume he's just a hot idiot

I think I'd make him a bard, since bards are versatile and can learn powerful and useful magic, but have high charisma (because he's very attractive!) and a reputation for just wanting to seduce everything

definitely my fav type of characters so i can only approve.

just the balance on pretending to be stupid in order to blindside everyone and keep them at a distance, playing up the charms to get away with it and taking any bits of affection they can get, while actually being extremely knowledgeable, perhaps even to a much more pessimistic way than they let on.

Bards seems to be perfect on that regard. + if really based on Lucio, Lucio pretends to be an human actor after all. The whole idea to put on a performance to enchant the crowd is something that fits him a lot. (also if i recall correctly when the crew meets him, he puts on a play that is supposed to tell them a bit about the Skies's myth and legends, which the whole crew brushes off as just some stories in a play, while Lucio played it up so that when later he visits MC's dreams to explain to them what's going on with the skies, MC has the basis thanks to the play to what Lucio is trying to tell them, while also giving MC a perfect excuse to brush it off as just a dream because "oh maybe my subconscious as inspired by the play i saw Lucio in")

so, truly, this fits. perfect.

When Kanda makes the announcement, you immediately latch onto his choice of words, following his eyes to where they’ve trailed to the window.

And there he shows up. The man you’ve been grieving for months now.

You freeze and air gets hard to breathe. It’s like there’s no oxygen around you as your throat constricts and lungs burn. What? How?

Allen reacts first, opening the door and looking at him. Howard Link’s pose is incredibly relaxed and a smile you rarely saw appear on his face is so casually planted there that you almost want to drag out your weapon to make sure this isn’t an Akuma or some kind of clever disguise puppeteered by Leverrier.

But Allen’s eye doesn’t react. He simply runs to him and you gasp when they almost fall off of the balcony.

You stay behind as they all converge closer to him, your hand still wrapped around the handle of the measly dagger that Tiedoll gave to you when you first joined him going rogue from the Order, “to protect yourself.” He’d said.

You help Tiedoll prepare the food, anything to not be close to him right now as you try to process that he’s there, alive. You’re not sure he saw you before you sneaked to the kitchen but knowing him and his skills, he’s most likely seen you before he even approached on Kanda’s behest.

WiP - (Cosplay) - Jacket for ... Apocryphos

So ... I am not sure if any of you guessed who was the character for the wig I had the stupid brilliant idea to turn our most beloved hated character into a cosplay.

For the fun of it.

To be honest there was a bit less effort than usual as I found the red coat on sale and avoided making it myself, I had the wig bought back in August and had styled it. I'm waiting for glasses and the necklace to arrive but here have some progress on his cardinal jacket.

The base cut of the jacket is the same pattern as for Junior BUT I adjusted some things beforehand as I knew how some things slowed me down the last time. There is still adjustments to make if I reuse the pattern but I am getting better (mind me I create my pattern all from scratch, I don't use premade/bought pattern because given written instructions drive me mad I just can't use them).

The first thing I had to test though was how to make his crosses because ...

He has crosses on his sleeves??? And no buttons on this thing but I added buttons because ... i would like to get in and out :'D but yeah crosses.

Therefore this time (after cutting parts) I started with the sleeves. Cut out the parts and all and then noticed... I did them the wrong way. Luckily @izasbjdphoto suggested to adjust them which worked out just took a bit longer as I had to pin down everything again.

But I am very found on how those turned out! It was also a great practise for another costume I am planning to sew.

The body of the jacket went well until I added a pocket and messed it up... I decided to just scrap that part and attach a new one it was easier than trying to fix that darn pocket.

Next up was adding the collar. As I learned from Junior... TEST TEST TEST and I adjusted it like only 3 times before I attached it and the fit was perfect, I didn't need to redo it :D lesson learned I guess.

Attaching the lining, sleeves and then ironing down was next. It kinda was actually fun? As the only thing that went wrong was the pocket and I left the costume for the day and continued the next one.

Closing the last seams, adding buttons and the whole thing was done. By 13/11/24.

As said I am still waiting for the fitting glasses, I got some that look quite similar to his and they have mirror glasses aka they will actually block the view of his eyes just like the most time in the Manga. I'm exicted to wear this at a con even though like nobody will recognize him except maybe a hand full of DGM fans.

(It will not get out of my system and I will be thinking of him always.) reread dgm volume 3 (.....my copy is straight up losing pages just how many times did I reread it already) and ouuuuughhhhhh miranda my beloved ;;;;;; forever my favourite woman in any manga ever ;;;;;;; aside from that my only musing is gonna be about road saying that the noah family is the worshipper of the real god as opposed to the fake god the exorcists fight for - as far as the exorcists go I believe it, given what we now know of the innocence, but I dunno if it's safe to believe whichever god the noahs follow is the real one or in any way more benevolent/fair, since after all neah wasn't on that side either....

Anyway, road really was a menace the first time she appeared lmao it's incredible just how much hoshino toned her down, I had nearly forgotten she'd started this way
