One Year Anniversary Of DHMIS 2022

Today is the first anniversary of the Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared series that came out last year on Channel 4, this made me realize that it’s been years since I saw the webseries back in the 2010s. I redesigned Manny (A.K.A. Yellow Guy) to give him a shirt behind his overalls and his hair is inspired by the artist Yum Crum who made an AU where it was like that.

Watching ‘The Day of the Doctor’ at 2am and then hearing ‘you know I really think you might’ from the curator/Tom Baker and remembering just how feral you went over this episode almost ten years ago now when it first aired on tv. Yeah…

The sheer happiness I felt watching this episode, damn, I want so badly to experience it again!!!

Hope the 60th anniversary episodes live up to the hype next year!

I love it when fandoms have a day of celebration. However, it amuses me that Homestuck have 4/13 - the day the comic started and the birthday of the original protagonist. DHMIS have June 19th, also the day the series started and which, like 413, is referenced in subtle ways throughout the series. Discworld have The Glorious 25th Of May, an in-universe anniversary of a revolution and a day which has great significance to one of the main characters.

And then Gorillaz have “D-day” which is the anniversary of the day when, in lore, one of the main characters crashed a car into the other main character and caused him permanent brain damage.
