Now 10 weeks out from the double-episode series premiere of CBS‘ NCIS: Origins, TVLine has an exclusive first look at two key characters — “probie” Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Special Agent Mike Franks — in the NCIS prequel spinoff.

Though longtime NCIS fans may fancy themselves well-versed on Jethro’s younger days (which have been glimpsed in a half dozen or so flashback episodes over the past 21 years), “They don’t know as much as they think they do,” posits David J. North, who serves as co-showrunner on Origins with Gina Lucita Monreal. “Seeing Gibbs arrive at NIS on Day 1, and seeing how Gibbs became Gibbs…? You will realize there’s so much to explore.”

For example, “We’ve not seen that dynamic between ‘probie’ Gibbs and Mike Franks,” played on the original NCIS by franchise front man Mark Harmon and guest star Muse Watson, Monreal notes. Coming to NIS “so fresh out of the Marines, it gives Gibbs a different kind of shading than we’ve seen before as a character.”

Adds North, “The way he looks at Franks, you can see that bit of awe in his eyes.”

NCIS: Origins’ series regular cast also includes Mariel Molino (Promised Land) as Special Agent Lala Dominguez, a former Marine with a dark sense of humor (and whose dynamic with Gibbs is “filled with sparks”); Diany Rodriguez (The Blacklist) as Special Agent Vera Strickland, “a no-nonsense, sharp-witted Brooklynite who’s tough as nails” (a character originated by Nip/Tuck‘s Roma Maffia in the Season 11 NCIS episode “Under the Radar”); Tyla Abercrumbie (The Chi) as Field Operation Support Officer Mary Jo Hayes, a “mama bear” who has wryly dubbed herself “HSIC” — Head Secretary in Charge; and Caleb Martin Foote (Made for Love) as Special Agent Benjamin “Randy” Randolf, the agency’s all-too-lovable “golden boy” tasked with showing Gibbs the ropes.

NCIS vet Mark Harmon, who starred on the mothership as Gibbs through early Season 19, will not appear in the series, but he will be heard as its narrator as well as serve as an executive producer. Sean Harmon, who played Young Gibbs in the aforementioned NCIS flashbacks and came up with the idea for the prequel series, will also serve as an EP.

EDIT: Okay, so the one that I did for BFCD does not work, so I am posting this one to see if it works, and if not, they’ll both be WIPS until I have the time to repair them

For the purposes of this list and on this page, whenever I say “dark skinned,” I mean a traditional brown crayon or darker. I grew up around Black people, so the words “dark skinned” do not mean the same thing to me as it do to nonblacks.

EA FC 25 Top 50 player ratings – Real Madrid and Man City stars dominate

The 2023/24 season was a fantastic campaign for players, so expect to see some changes to the 50 highest-rated players in EA FC 25.

We saw a new name take the top spot as the highest-rated player in EA FC 24, with Erling Haaland jumping up to 91 rated to match Kylian Mbappe at the top of last year's ratings. And, after a fantastic 2023/24 season, we could see some new names join Haaland and Mbappe in the EA FC 25 top 50 players list.

The latest installment in the EA Sports FC series, EA FC 25, is set to be released next month. We already know the first official player ratings after EA Sports announced the Top 50 players in EA FC 25 coming to Ultimate Team.

Robert Taylor will step into the late, great Ralph Waite’s shoes by playing dad to a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs in CBS‘ upcoming NCIS: Origins prequel series.

Also new to the NCIS: Origins mix is Daniel Bellomy (Power Book II: Ghost) in the recurring guest star role of Special Agent Granville “Granny” Dawson, a “probie” who’s cutting his teeth as the Evidence Custodian’s assistant, all the while itching to work his way up the ranks to field agent.

Additionally, Caleb Martin Foote (Made for Love) will fill the recurring guest star role of Special Agent Benjamin “Randy” Randolf, the agency’s all-too-lovable “golden boy.” Tasked with showing the newly minted Agent Gibbs the ropes, this father of young twins is thankfully practiced in patience.

Ordered to series in January, NCIS: Origins will be set in the early ’90s and follow a young version of Harmon’s Leroy Jethro Gibbs as a new agent at the NCIS Camp Pendleton office. The show will chronicle Gibbs’ early career as he forges his own path on a team led by NCIS legend Mike Franks (to be played by SIX‘s Kyle Schmid).

Besides Stowell and Schmid, series regulars include Mariel Molino (Promised Land) as Special Agent Lala Domingue, Diany Rodriguez (The Blacklist) as Special Agent Vera Strickland (a role originated by Nip/Tuck‘s Roma Maffia in the Season 11 NCIS installment “Under the Radar”), and Tyla Abercrumbie (The Chi) as Field Operation Support Officer Mary Jo Sullivan, a “mama bear” who has wryly dubbed herself “HSIC” — Head Secretary in Charge.

Po čom mladí túžia: klimatická spravodlivosť, lepšie perspektívy vzdelávania a poznanie politického sveta

Chceme viac aktuálnych informácií, väčšiu perspektívu v oblasti vzdelávania, technológie i problémoch planéty, hovoria stredoškoláčky a stredoškoláci zo žiackych školských rád a škôl, ktorí sa zúčastnili konferencie Rady mládeže Bratislavského kraja. Na pôde Filozofickej fakulty Univerzity Komenského v Bratislave ich spojila Natália Zikmundová, študentka a organizátorka konferencie, s profesionálkami a profesionálmi v témach Budúcnosť občianstva, Budúcnosť vzdelávania a Budúcnosť planéty. Konferencia bola príležitosťou pre výmenu skúseností medzi aktívnymi študentmi a študentkami, praktickú ukážku nielen dialógu medzi politikmi a mladými ľuďmi, ale aj vegánskej stravy.

Klimatické zrútenie, predvolebná komunikácia, výzvy automatizácie, strojového učenia, algoritmov sociálnych sietí či sledovania boli hlavnými témami akcie. Počas konferencie mali vďaka Slovenskej vegánskej spoločnosti hostia, študenti aj novinári pripravené udržateľné vegánske občerstvenie budúcnosti.

CHCÚ VIAC POZNAŤ ĽUDÍ, KTORÝCH VOLIA

70 účastníkov z 30 škôl privítal na fakulte jej dekan, prof. Marián Zouhar. Študentom pripomenul 100. výročie Univerzity Komenského v Bratislave a narastajúci význam spoločenskovedného a humanitného vzdelania pre dnešný svet.

Dôležitosť štúdia filozofie a debaty pre kritické myslenie vyzdvihol aj ďalší hosť konferencie, poslanec NR SR Martin Poliačik, počas svojich nepripravovaných odpovedí pri natáčaní Spoznaj kandidáta live. O projekte povedal:

„Vďaka krátkemu formátu Spoznaj kandidáta sa môžu mladí ľudia o kandidátoch dozvedieť či majú zmysel pre humor, či dokážu reagovať na nečakané situácie. Samotný kandidát sa pri natáčaní trošku spotí, pretože musí rýchlo reagovať na otázky z mnohých oblastí, takže na to, ako je to krátke, to dokáže vystihnúť veľa vecí o človeku, ktorého si majú ľudia neskôr vyberať vo voľbách.“

Spoznaj kandidáta je projekt Stanislava Valluša a ďalších študentov z Gymnázia Matky Alexie v Bratislave, ktorí v predvolebnom období chcú prvovoličkám a prvovoličom predstaviť kandidátky a kandidátov na poslancov NR SR prostredníctvom on-line videí. Študenti sami natáčajú a strihajú videá, a projekt sa rozrástol aj do ďalších krajských miest.

BUDÚCNOSŤ PRE NAŠU PLANÉTU A KVALITNÉ VZDELANIE

Hosťami tematického celku Budúcnosť občianstva boli Dominik Porvažník z Iuventy, bývalý mládežnícky delegát OSN, a Dominika Jurášová z LEAF Academy, organizátorka simulovaného zasadnutia Európskeho parlamentu MEP. V odpovediach obaja vyzdvihli potrebu aktívneho postoja mladých ľudí, hľadanie a nachádzanie svojich záujmov a zdôraznili zodpovednosť nielen jednotlivých internetových tvorcov a tvorkýň, ale aj platforiem. Jednou z možných budúcností občianstva je nepodmienený základný príjem, Dominik by viac študoval a čítal knihy, kým Dominika by hľadala ďalšie praxe v oblasti európskej politiky a spolupráce. Ďalej Dominik prízvukuje, že oproti šíremu svetu je na Slovensku možné vo svojom obore ľahšie vyniknúť:

„Na Slovensku môžete už v relatívne skorom veku ovplyvňovať dianie. Ja vás chcem povzbudiť v tom, aby ste na Slovensku ostali a rozvíjali ďalej to, čo naší starí rodičia a rodičia začali.“

Budúcnosť vzdelávania pre študentov a študentky priniesla perspektívu Nadi Jankovičovej, dátovej vedkyne v Profesii a lektorky pre Aj Ty v IT, a Štefana Kráľoviča, známeho ako FVLCRVM alebo vďaka kapele NVMERI. Obaja išli za svojimi záujmami a príležitosťami a kým Naďu zaviedli na anglickú univerzitu, Štefana do Bratislavy a do dizajnu.

„Po štúdiách v zahraničí som sa vrátila na Slovensko a myslím si, že je tu veľa príležitostí. Dá sa tu veciam dobre rozumieť a reálne sa do aktivít zapájať. Preto som sa rozhodla svoje znalosti podať ďalej ľuďom, ktorí to potrebujú - dievčatám, ktorým programovanie môže prísť odstrašujúce. Nejde len o to, aby sa naučili programovať, ale aby zistili ako kreatívne myslieť,“ hovorí Naďa a Štefan dopĺňa: „Treba rozmýšľať nad tým, čo si myslíte, že bude fungovať v budúcnosti a oprieť sa do toho, keď to ešte nikto nerobí, máte tak väčšiu šancu na úspech.“

Záverom diskusie o strojovom učení, algoritmoch, sledovaní, 3D tlači, ale aj o rastlinnom mäse, alebo ako v Európe nemôže fungovať čínsky sociálny kredit, bolo, že vo vzdelávaní potrebujeme zrozumiteľnú komunikáciu vedy.

Juliane Gerbel, študentka Gymnázia na Bilíkovej a organizátorka školských klimatických štrajkov Piatky pre budúcnosť, sa podelila o doterajšie skúsenosti s najvyššími slovenskými politikmi, ale aj s vedeniami bratislavských škôl, a zopakovala 12 požiadaviek Klimatickej koalície pre vládu SR. Za budúcnosť planéty budú mladí ľudia demonštrovať aj počas predvolebného klimatického štrajku, pretože pre zmenu nestačia len osobné iniciatívy, ale je treba systémové obmedzenia, ktoré môžu prijať len politici.

Martin Kuštek v závere zhrnul pôsobenie Rady mládeže Bratislavského kraja vo všetkých predstavených oblastiach prostredníctvom sústavných a otvorených projektov participácie mladých ľudí ako sú Študentské voľby, Young & Eco o pomalej móde, alebo aj o praktickom neformálnom vzdelávaní v Jelšave a prístupných a zábavných videokurzoch na Zmúdri.

Ostatná januárová konferencia žiackych školských rád a aktívnych študentov v Bratislavskom kraji sa na základe podnetov a potrieb mladých ľudí zaoberala témami budúcnosti. Konferencie pre svoje členské kolektívy pravidelne organizuje Rada mládeže Bratislavského kraja (RMBRK) na dobrovoľníckom základe už od r. 2015, aby pre súčasných mládežníckych lídrov a líderky vytvorila priestor pre diskusiu o aktuálnych spoločenských otázkach a výzvach, vzdelávacích projektoch a iniciatívach. Rada mládeže je združením detských a mládežníckych organizácií, žiackych školských rád, miestnych parlamentov mladých, pracovníkov s mládežou, výskumníkov mládeže a iných odborníkov pracujúcich s mládežou, mladých vedúcich, mládežníckych vedúcich a mládežníckych dobrovoľníkov pôsobiacich v Bratislavskom kraji. S ohľadom na charakter hlavného mesta sú ambície a projekty mladých ľudí často celoslovenské, prípadne s európskym dopadom.

Amerykańska Akademia Fonograficzna przyznała w niedzielę po raz 61. muzyczne nagrody Grammy. Wśrod wielkich wygranych znaleźli się raper i aktor Donald Glover, nagrywający jako Childish Gambino, Kacey Musgraves i Dua Lipa.

W kategorii "Najlepszy album roku" nagrodzono piosenkarkę country i autorkę piosenek Kacey Musgraves za "Golden Hour". Musgraves do domu wróciła z czterema nagrodami.

Statuetka za "Nagranie roku", wyróżniające wykonawcę oraz zespół produkcyjny, trafiła do aktora i rapera Donalda Glovera, który nagrywa pod pseudonimem Childish Gambino. Wygrał też w kategorii "Piosenka roku". W obu przypadkach za "This is America".

Wyróżnienie za "Najlepszy debiut" otrzymała Brytyjka kosowsko-albanskiego pochodzenia Dua Lipa. Wokalistka, która karierę w show biznesie zaczynała jako modelka znana jest m.in. z singla "New Rules". - Jestem dowodem na to, że możesz zrobić wszystko, na co się zdecydujesz – powiedziała, odbierając statuetkę.

Dwie ujawnione piosenkarki Lady Gaga i Brandi Carlile, także zdobyły statuetki. Sama Brandi Carlile, aż trzy statuetki - w kategorii "Najlepszy Album z Gatunku Amerykańskiego" za piosenkę "By The Way, I Forgive You", i za utwór "The Joke". Dodatkowo statuetka w kategorii Najlepszy Utwór dotyczące Amerykańskich Korzeniach.

Lady Gaga, także dostała trzy statuetki - miedzy innymi za "Shallow" w kategoriach Najlepszy Duet i Najlepszy Utwór Nagrany Dla Medium Wizualnego, za "Joanne (Where Do You Think You're Goin'?)" w kategorii Najlepsze Solowe.

Kacey Musgraves, która zdobyła Album Roku i Najlepszy Album Country która jest sojuszniczką LGBTQ, w swoim klipie "Rainbow". Musgraves powiedziała rok temu Billboardowi, że zmieniło jej homofobiczne wychowanie i pozwoliło spojrzeć inaczej na to, jak należy traktować ludzi.

Powiedziała dla HuffPost, że marzy o ikonie gejowskiej muzyki country.
