My art style changes constantly, it’s horrifically inconsistent. So I hope no one gets too attached to a way I drew a specific drawing, because unless it’s Undertale AU skeletons, I’ll probably always draw the boys (Zim and Dib, esp Dib) different each time you see them lol.

5: Favorite Other Race?

i thought this meant my favorite non-irken/human race like in general and i was gonna be "vortians!!!! lol!!" but yeah its vortians and honestlee im not sure if i like lard nar or 777 more? since based on different concepts they do different things like yk in one concept i like 777 more and in another i like lard nar more, but leaning towards lard nar cuz he has an actual personality in the show. like 777 does too but much less so more of it is left up to interpretation yk? idk this is all over the place but vortian supremacy lets get this shit

god i remember theres one scene that makes me cringe SO HARD but i DONT REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS. i remember it was like, zim related?? either dib was being (imo unnecessarily) mean to zim OR this was later in the series where zim's character was kinda degrading a little and i was sitting here like "NO WHY IS HE SO STUPID WHY DID THEY WRITE HIM TO BE SO FUCKING STUPID" but for the life of me i dont remember what?? fucking??? scene it was??? and honestly im not gonna go looking for it. i choose blissful ignorance . namaste <3

tfw u characterize him in ur au so hard u fall in love w the characterization and forget hes basically an oc at that point. that might be a little narcissistic on my part but thats the personality disorder luv <3 anyway yeah my characterization of larb is this weird mix of bootlicker and defective where hes absolutely deepthroating the boot 24/7 but WOULD fuck zim given the opportunity. hes also a major simp for this other character thats his love interest. shes basically just.... ctrl c ctrl v zim. hes a bicon but only if its zim or a zim derivative. luv that for him!

hello hello bella! (see what i did there) i think you'd make an excellent donna noble she might be my favorite companion. does that mean i'm ten? i could vibe with being ten i think, altho i don't think i have his skill for dramatic one liners & monologues lol

frat au: C? i think? i don't think i've ever actually read a fic that was completely set in a frat/centered around a frat so idk if i can say whether i'd like it or not. i wouldn't say no to a frat au tho (if you have any recs,,,) i also don't know enough about frats to ever write one, if we're taking writing into consideration as well.

friends with benefits: B! i love it when it's executed well (i recently reread your fwb muke and it's just *chef's kiss*) but it can often have scenes that i don't like reading/squick me out so i don't normally seek them out unless i know the author isn't going to have that kind of stuff in there (bc the range of things people rate as M is wayy too big for me to be sure that i'll be comfortable with something or not). writing-wise it's a tricky one for me bc i very much cannot relate to ever doing something physical with someone just for the sake of doing it (i mean i can't really relate to wanting to do physical stuff period but ya know) however i do love writing from the perspective of people who act very differently than i would so i would def write it. (and maybe already have a wip for one)

getting back together: C+! again whether i like it hinges on the execution and the quality of writing; if one of them did something i find ehhhh and that's the reason they broke up then it takes a lot of work and time and skill for the author to convince me that them getting back together is a good idea. (unless the point is that it's not a good idea, but again that has to be handled well). i think i can see myself writing this trope but i don't think i'd ever write more than two of this kind of fic.

songfics: A!!!!! i *love* songfics esp when they're done well or are about songs i love; i just find the concept fascinating and a really interesting framework for fics. also i have dedicated a semi-significant amount of the past eight months to a songfic so i feel like i legally cannot give it any less than an a lol.

crossovers: C-. i think there can be well-done crossovers, but usually when i see something's a crossover i click away. idk why really it's just a thing!

hogwarts au: D. *gasp* i know however. i haven’t read many hogwarts aus but i think many of them use the excuse to make their characters more two dimensional bc of the house system and also i think they rarely expand on the universe in a meaningful way if that makes sense? like most of the plots are,,, idk i can love reading the same trope over and over normally but for some reason with hogwarts aus when i see the plot i’m like ‘ah. this again.’ idk dude maybe i just haven’t found a hogwarts au i personally found compelling yet but i don’t feel like combing through tons of (imo) mediocre stuff to find the gems when i’m already kinda bleh about the au. (i mean, if people know of a *really* good one i’d read it but barring that i’m not going to click on any of them.)

I was in the middle of writing a scene for the next chapter of the ESP Dib fic and had the sudden urge to draw it out before I wrote it! The three idiots just barely escaped the Fae realm with their lives and re-emerged into the human realm about six feet up an elm tree because Fae gates are weird and appear wherever. Dib got hurt the worst but the lucky little bastard got the softest landing.

Zadr au where dib is an android built by PM, but doesn’t know he’s an android, and Zim is the only one who rebuilds him when he gets fatally injured

Gaz sometimes fixes up dib’s minor injuries, esp when they’re annoying to her, but she doesn’t yet know how to get past PM’s locks to access Dib’s internal and brain components

PM doesn’t really care—dib is an AI experiment and he’s sort of just waiting for dib to “die” so the AI can be extracted, put into a new robot, and reset to start over. He doesn’t monitor dib at all, bc he’s waiting to collect all the data when dib dies

Zim can easily use his pak to bypass PM’s locks, and to Zim—dib is just another slimy human, if not more impressive because he’s mechanical. As an irken, Zim sees no difference between biological and mechanical components in making an individual

So when dib finally realizes—Zim ends up being his main source of comfort and validation bc Zim doesn’t get why dib is so freaked out, and Zim’s flippancy ends up making dib feel normal...or of course, his version of normal

A wip of my piece for @hitas-stuff dtiys challenge they have going on Instagram. I hope it doesn’t look too weird just being a wip but I really wanted to post this to keep me motivated to finish it!

I really wanted to draw something Invader Zim related again as it is what got me back into drawing after I was feeling not so good about my art and went without drawing anything for months. When I saw this I just knew I wanted to give it a try as it looked so cool! I love their Esp Dib AU :)

This will end up being the first thing I will post on Instagram lol ( I’ve never understood it to be quite honest, same goes for twitter)
