what do you like getting asks about? do you like getting asks about star wars? I'm very little of the way through the mandalorian (so holding off on reading your fic) but just interested to know what intrigues you abuot mando, (and bo katan/their ship i guess), as i feel like i just met him
uhh, I used to get asks on all sorts of things (usually about Ancient Egypt because people were curious). I don't mind asks on most things, but sometimes people should be wary of what they're asking because I've have some parasocial/intrusive stuff before and that's been ooof.
As for Mando? I liked how it feels more like the OT films. There's a little bit more focus on practical effects and world building, and this in turn allows for more character exploration and depth. You slowly understand who he is and why he does what he does, and how he'll break that for certain reasons. All that reflects the growth in a character who is very shut off from his emotions, for good reason, but you see him start to move from that. You see Mando the bounty hunter, is actually a softer man beneath all that beskar. He's flawed, and he's got a lot of baggage. The same goes for Bo-Katan. Her history makes up a lot of who she is, and since they're both mandalorians they're ways differ and that's an interesting dynamic. Once you hit S3, and I'll not spoil it with details, but there's a shift in their dynamic. The whole season deals with the themes of loss of faith in the self, and renewal of faith/purpose to achieve a common goal. They feed into each other's growth, supporting each other in ways I don't think they're necessarily aware they did, and it's what allows events to happen. I think a lot of people *coughredditcough* missed that point because it's a more subtle relationship dynamic (and not romantic...yet...) instead of a big showy set piece. It's a slow growth and change of 'changing for the better by knowing this person and having their support' and I liked that. I also liked the fact that we got a female character who can be vulnerable and a badass who wasn't immediately killed off (my god in the SW a woman not being killed off? shocking!). They may or may not get together in the show. I don't base my enjoyment of the show on if Din/Bo (or dinbo or bodin or w/e people are calling it) happens or not but I'd sure like it to. I think they'd be interesting together.
I also recognise the parenting woes of baby yoda/grogu because I too have dealt with a toddler/5-6 year old and they're very similar (I have a niece that age and they pull the same stunts). Snack driven and getting into mischief!
Mum, who the fic is for, was the one who took me (aged 8) in 1997 to see the OT films re-released for the 20th anniversary. She went on for days before we saw the film about the big spaceship imperial star destroyer that comes into view from the corner of the screen in ANH. Said it was amazing. And to little me it really was. I've loved SW ever since. She wanted to watch Mando when it first came out but she didn't have Disney+ and there were so many hospital visits she just didn't get chance. I watched it without her and told her it was good. Earlier this year, when they stopped treatment and moved to end of life care, she didn't sleep much and she got access to D+ and started watching it. We watched most of S1 & S3 together, S2 she watched in the early hours of the morning and I'd wake to texts from her asking me to clarify some things 😂 We'd then get together and talk about it, and she'd share things she liked and what she'd like to see. Of course, she won't get to see these things, so I'd started writing a fic for fun (and she encouraged me since she always thought I had a way with words) and then when she said 'I'll never see S4' I changed what I was doing and wrote her a fic full of things she'd like/things we'd talked about. She's too ill to read it now, but it's for her anyway. And anyone sat here like 'you wrote an E rated fic for your mum?' yeah, she was the one who introduced me to bodice rippers, she's got no qualms about this!
So yeah, that's why Mando and SW are enjoyable and mean a lot to me :)

Hi!! Thank you for stopping by!! My name is Stacey and I am so excited to start this blog and share my experiences, thoughts, ideas, recipes and anything else I can think of. Just wanted to tell you a little bit about me. I am a stay at home mom of 3. I have twins that are going to be 25 next month. Geez, where did the time go. I also have an 11 yr old boy that seems like he will be going on 16 😂 My kids are my heart!! I love to craft and make things to make people smile. I have always wanted to start a blog to show my crafts and maybe give someone an idea that you would like to try. And since the holidays are here, I wanted to start this blog now and hopefully share some exciting things.
I also have Celiac Disease, which is an autoimmune disorder. For those of you that may not have heard of Celiac Disease, it is an immune reaction to eating gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye. Celiac disease is a digestive problem that hurts your small intestine. It stops your body from taking in nutrients from food. I was born with this disease, diagnosed at 9 months of age. The doctors back then told my mom that I would grow out of it. Well, for most of my life I can remember eating cookies, cakes, sandwiches, pretty much anything I wanted to. As I got older I was still ok, until I got pregnant with my twins at 26. Everything was going great until week 22 that’s when things got a little hectic. My twins were born at 22 weeks and 2 days, weighing just about a pound and a half at birth. We spent a long 3 months in the NICU. At that time, I was so sick. I couldn’t eat anything without feeling nauseous. Guess what happened! The Celiac Disease returned!!!! Needless to say I have been on a gluten free diet ever since.
So the first thing I would love to share is a recipe for Sugar Cookie Chex Mix that my family absolutely love to munch on and it’s gluten free!! This recipe makes 12 servings and takes about 30 minutes. The recipe is easy to make and is fun to do with the kids. It’s the perfect snack to gift in cute little tubs that you can get about anywhere. I get mine at the dollar store. During the holidays they have the cutest little tubs and usually come in a two pack, $0.50 cents each is perfect. Keep reading to try this yummy snack!!!

Gang Friend and a Gentleman
Characters: Rio x Black!Reader x Black!OC (older woman of color).
Summary: Not even gon’ hold you, this is random AF. That’s what happens when my imagination runs wild and free. It’s cute, fluffy, and funny. Hope you all enjoy it. Reblogs and feedback would be greatly appreciated💖.
Warnings: Tiny bit of expletives. I’m trying to be a better me, but I just can’t stop cursing 😆. Y’all knew that was coming 😂. Oh, also, if you are a “Karen” please don’t take it personally, it’s just a damn story. That’s about it for the warnings.
Word Count: 1,400+.

Nights like this sometimes made Rio wish he worked a regular 9 to 5. Some stuff went down at the start of his day, which slowed things down with production. It didn’t help that Beth and her ditzy crew were ducking and dodging him. After all this time you would think they’d know to never play with his money. To say Rio was on edge was an understatement.
Now, here he was in the wee hours of the morning sluggishly sifting through the snack aisle of the grocery store. He was exhausted and in a terrible mood given that everyone had been messing things up all day. It also didn’t help that working late put him in the dog house with you. For the fourth night in a row, the left side of the bed was cold as you drifted off to sleep alone.
As if he wasn’t already irritated enough, Rio noticed a group of soccer moms gawking at him. It also didn’t help that he overheard them gossiping about all his tattoos and how he was probably some gang member. They continued to whisper about how it was annoying that he was so attractive. That all his good looks were going to waste.
He contemplated on whether he should mess with them by making them nervous, but before he could decide an older woman of color stepped in, “excuse me Karen one, two, and three! Would you mind getting your items and moving along? This young man would like to shop in peace. I swear, nobody’s ever checking for you pesky women. Yet you’re always up in somebody’s face minding everybody’s business but your own. Get your groceries and stop harassing him, please.”
Huffing and puffing the women grabbed a few things, tossed them into their cart, and moved on. The whole scene that just took place warmed Rio’s heart. Growing up, he had always wanted someone to nurture and look out for him just as this nice lady did.
“Thank you, ma’am. You didn’t have to do that. I'm used to it, so it doesn’t bother me. People gon’ talk regardless. I do appreciate that though. Please, let me pay for your groceries,” he offered as she gave him a warm smile while waving him off.
“Oh, sweetheart, you don’t have to do that. It was a pleasure giving those judgemental women a piece of my mind. We can never just be can we, honey? Do our best to stay to ourselves and that still isn’t enough,” she responded as she struggled to get something off a shelf.
Rio sprung into action, “here let me grab that for you.” He retrieved the items she needed and gently placed them in her cart. “Can I help you with anything else? I really would appreciate it if you would let me pay for your items,” he offered once more.
“No, that’s quite alright, sugar. My husband is working the third shift at his job. I just wanted to pick out a few of his favorite snacks. Gonna take them to him during his lunch break.”
ïżœïżœïżœOh, so you a real one. I see you holding your man down,” Rio praised her.
“High school sweethearts and married twenty years. Sure do hold him down. Got me a good man,” she boasted.
“Okay, I see you! Let me at least help you load them in your trunk,” he made a counteroffer.
“Now honey, you don’t owe me a thing. Anybody decent and kind would’ve done the same thing. I’ll tell you what you can do for me. Let me get all up in your business for a moment. Mind if I ask a nosey question,” she asked with a bright smile.
“Go right ahead, Mrs?”
“Mrs. Jensen.”
“Ask me anything you’d like, Mrs. Jensen.”
“Now baby, I’m married, but I ain’t blind. Also noticed that wedding ring. What is a good lookin’ young man such as yourself doing out at this time of night? Where is wifey? Being out at these hours with that handsome face ain’t gon’ do nothing, but get you in trouble,” she teased.
“Thank you for the compliment. You have a point. I just got off work, and to be honest, I’m already in trouble. I’ve been coming home late for the last couple of nights, wifey not too happy about that. I run a business. The kind that keeps me out late.”
Rio was trying to hint at his lifestyle without giving away too much information. Ms. Jensen leaned in, “You ain’t gotta explain it to me, baby. Make that money and get it how ya live,” she winked. He couldn’t help but think to himself, who’s dope ass auntie is this? Rio was taken aback and couldn’t help but laugh.
“Well let me stop holding you up. I’m sure you need to get your stuff so you can get home. You’re in enough trouble as it is. Baby, you should’ve gone home and had your groceries delivered tomorrow,” she joked.
“Naw, I need this stuff tonight. I was hoping I could find all my baby’s favorites. Distract her with food so she won’t be in too much of a hurry to curse me out for being late again.”
“She’s up waiting for you? Babyyy, she gon’ get you. Not you distracting her with late-night snacks.”
“More than likely she’s been sleeping for a little bit and now she’s up trying to satisfy a craving.”
“She’s pregnant? That’s wonderful! Is it your first?”
“No ma’am.”
“Your second?”
“It’s baby number three for us,” he boasted like a proud father.
“Boy, get them snacks and get on home. Those snacks may not be enough to save you. Then again, y’all on ya third baby so she must be a forgiving woman.”
Rio was about to agree with her as his phone signaled a FaceTime call. You were up hungry, cranky, and very irritated by the fact that he still wasn’t home. He politely paused the conversation to answer your call. All Rio managed to get out was, “Hey mama,” before you started in on him.
“ Bro, am I a single mother now and you just ain’t tell me?”
“What I tell you about that bro shit? Mama, don’t start this nonsense.”
“Start what? I’m just saying. It’s like you don’t live here anymore.”
“Stop being dramatic, ma. You know I work late. Why do we keep having this argument? I’m tired, you’re tired, and we’ve both had a long day. I’ll be home shortly. I stopped to pick you up some food. I knew you’d be hungry by the time I got to the house.”
“Awww baby you stopped to get me food? Well, now I feel like a bitch.”
“What I tell you about calling yourself that? It’s just your hormones, I ain’t gonna take it personally, mama. You want me to stop and get you chicken nuggets and a milkshake too?”
“Yes, and a large fry. Please and thank you, daddy.”
“I got you, sweetheart. Give me ‘bout a half hour. I’ll finish shopping, and help this kind lady carry her groceries to the car. Then I’ll get your food and be headed your way, baby.”
“That’s sweet of you to help with her bags, such a sweet baby daddy. Can’t wait to see you and those bomb-ass chicken nuggets,” you responded now twerking for the camera.
“You can twerk for nuggets but when I ask it’s a problem,” he teased ending the call.
“I see you are not going to give up with these groceries. Let’s hurry and finish so you can feed that pretty lady and that growing baby.
Not only did Rio help Mrs. Jensen to her car, but he also managed to distract her at checkout. By the time she finished asking the store clerk for a price check, Rio had already paid for her groceries.
He would bump into Mrs. Jensen a few more times in the future. They would go on to become like family. Meeting each other’s families with them all merging as one.

Can I request a short au for skz changbin?
Where y/n is having a rushed and hectic day and goes to Starbucks to get some coffee for their co-workers and boss. But rams into binnie boy and hot coffee gets spilt everywhere. And y/n gets pissed because they just bought a new jacket 😂 then they have to explain to their co-workers and boss that there’s no coffee.
They then have a scheduled interview to do the next day and it ends up being stray kids 😂 and binnie continues to profusely apologize but y/n is still >:( about it. So after the interview he offers to take them out on a date to make up for it đŸ„° (gender neutral please)
Thank you soo much!! And of course! But scratch that “short”.. I hope you like it!
Hot stuff

Pairing: Seo Changbin (Stray Kids) x GN!Reader; Genre: Idol AU, Slice of life, Fluff and minimal Angst; Rating: sfw, PG-13; Warnings: a very stressed reader, a lot of mishaps, one curseword, hot coffee gets spilled, mentions of burns, the reader is petty, and lastly description of Changbin (and his muscles) in all black!; Wordcount: 2.022
Summary: Some days are just meant for staying in bed. Sadly you had to go out on such a day and of course.. everything that could go wrong did go wrong. And running into Changbin didn’t help. Or did it?
Tumblr media
Sometimes there were days where you should have stayed home. No, days where you shouldn’t even get out of bed. And thinking back to this morning, today was a day where you should have stayed in bed.
First your alarm didn’t ring, or maybe it did but you slept through it. Then the heater for your shower broke and you swear to god you never showered this fast. You still felt like a cooler since the cold shower kept you freezing throughout the whole morning. Even your new jacket and outfit, which you had bought just a week ago, couldn’t lift your mood nor did it warm you up.
At least you made it barely on time to reach your workplace, so maybe the cold shower was something positive but you had to go without breakfast. There wasn’t even enough time for a snack. Actually there would have been time but your snack bowl at home was empty because you had forgotten to go grocery shopping yesterday and refill it.
So you reached your office with an empty stomach, made it on time to your desk before your boss appeared, only for your chair to start squeaking whenever you moved.
You tensed and pursed your lips in annoyance, feeling the irritation bubbling inside of you. Still, you tried to take several deep breaths and calm yourself down.
You forced a smile on your lips whenever one of your colleagues appeared or you had to talk with customers, but as soon as you were left alone the scowl spread over your face and the annoyance that radiated off of you became almost palpable.
During the morning you already tried to prepare the important meetings and interviews of the upcoming days but apparently everything that could go wrong, did go wrong.
Colleagues sent you wrong files, the schedule had been messed up, emails haven’t gotten confirmed and to top everything when you tried to print something your printer decided to crap out. You cursed loudly while you slapped your hand on top of the machine, hoping the violence might get it to work but nothing helped.
You could already feel the angry tears pricking at the corners of your eyes and you were this close to throwing something or maybe even someone out of the nearest window.
“Hey, Y/N? It’s your turn to get the coffee today.”
An inaudible grumble escaped your lips but once you turned around you smiled and nodded. “Sure, thanks for reminding me. Do you have the list? I’ll be on my way then.” You grabbed the small piece of paper a little too forcefully out of your colleague’s hand but you couldn’t care less and power walked past him to get your purse and head for the nearest Starbucks.
Usually when it was your turn to get the coffee, you tried to get it done early, knowing during the lunch break it got almost impossibly full inside of the café. But the continuing misfortunes striked once again. Since you had forgotten about your turn, most companies were on their lunch break and when you stepped into the Starbucks you nearly bumped into the back of a person in front of you.
The scowl appeared once again on your face and for a second you feared it might stay there forever with how much you had been doing this today.
You tapped restlessly with your foot on the floor, glancing every two minutes at your watch and impatiently groaned when you realised you wouldn’t be out of this cafĂ© before your break ended.
When it was finally your turn, you slammed the piece of paper on the counter. “This and pronto!”
While the baristas prepared your order, already displeased by your attitude, you pulled out your phone and checked mails, hoping some of the mistakes were resolved by now.
You sighed when a notification popped up on your screen, a co-worker asking where you were with the orders and that they needed their coffee.
“And I need you to shut up”, you growled and turned back to the counter, looking impatient towards the baristas. “How much longer will I have to wait?”
The second you asked the question, one of the baristas held a tray full with coffee cups towards you, his face neutral as he handed it over to you.
“Finally”, you whispered and turned around, eyes on the tray so you wouldn’t spill anything.
Therefore you didn’t see the man crossing your path and apparently he didn’t see you as well since both of you ran into each other with full force.
The second of the impact everything appeared to you in slow motion. You lost the balance of the tray and you watched with horror how the first cups tilted over. Instinctively you tried to save them but the sudden movement made it even worse. More cups tilted over, some of them already falling to the ground.
You saw them falling slowly until they hit the ground, the lid popping off from the force and the coffee spilling everywhere. With five of the cups now on the ground you basically stood in a puddle of coffee.
You looked from the spilt coffee on the ground up to your legs, seeing splatters of the liquid in your pants. Your gaze wandered even further up and you registered your soaked shirt and jacket.
Once the first shock was gone you finally felt the burning heat clinging to your skin. You cursed and dropped the tray, making the mess even worse than before.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry”, the man in front of you apologised over and over again, handing you one napkin after the other. “I didn’t see you there, I’m really sorry. Are you alright?”
“Alright? Do I look alright?”
“I’m sorry, that was a dumb question.” He helplessly dabbed some of the napkins over your soaked sleeve but you swatted his hand away, cursing again.
You watched him for a moment, trying to remember everything about his appearance as you swore to yourself you would curse the man who took your last straw today.
He was just a little taller than you but he was probably double as fit as you. The thick muscles of his chest and biceps were speaking for themselves. Though maybe the tight black shirt was amplifying this effect. You noticed he was completely in black, the shirt tucked into his pants, showing off his thin waist, and the pants tucked into black combat boots, which had coffee stains on them as well. He had black hair that was mostly hidden underneath a black snapback and a sharp chin. And lastly over his arm hung a black leather jacket.
You tried to remember every little detail, ready to hate him for the rest of your life.
“I am really sorry. What was your order? I’ll get you the same again.”
You scoffed and looked at the time, seeing you were already too late. Another curse escaped your lips and you wordlessly stomped past him, ignoring his previous question and his concerned look.
On your way back you were close to crying. The heat, which wasn’t as great anymore, still hurt and you knew you would discover burnt areas on your skin once you would get home. The physical hurt wasn’t the worst though. The humiliation to get drenched in coffee in front of a dozen people AND to walk like this back into the office with empty hands was the actual worst part.
You stepped out of the elevator, having composed yourself within the few seconds of the ride, and walked towards your office.
“Finally Y/N! I really need my cof-”, your co-worker stopped mid sentence and stared at you with wide eyes. “Where’s the coffee?”
“If you need your coffee so badly, how about you move your lazy ass to the coffee machine in our break room and get yourself a cup, huh?” Your smile was anything but friendly anymore and you just watched your colleague hurrying away from you.
A sigh escaped your lips and you decided you were done for the day. You couldn’t care about any of the consequences anymore and just got the rest of your things and went back home. Tomorrow would be another day.
And today was another day. Everything that went wrong the day prior was perfectly fine now and you felt refreshed and relaxed when you returned to your office.
“Everything ready for the interview?” Your boss walked into your office, thankfully not commenting on the faux-pas from yesterday, while he checked something on his phone.
“Yes sir! Everything’s ready and we’re just waiting for our guests to arrive.”
“Who’s doing the interview?”
You checked over your script before you answered him.
“No, I want you to do the interview. You have more experience and we can’t have any mistakes with them.” He looked briefly up to you, his eyes saying how serious he was.
“Understood sir!”
“Do the usual. Ease them into the situation with a little small talk before you start the official interview.”
You nodded dutifully and immediately grabbed everything you needed, ready to go to the interview room and wait there for your guests.
While you waited you skimmed over the script and the information you had at hand. “Stray Kids, an eight member group under JYP Entertainment, write their songs on their own. Hmm, that’s pretty cool.”
“Y/N?” One of your colleagues peeked inside of the room. “They are here.”
You nodded and stood up from the desk you had been at. “Let them in.” You greeted them with a wide smile as they all came into the room, following one guy like some lost puppies.
That smile vanished though the second your eyes landed on the last man coming into the room. Your jaw tensed and it took everything within you to keep the smile plastered on your lips.
“Oh? It’s you!” He sounded pleasantly surprised and he hesitantly grinned.
“Yeah, you.”
You sounded less pleased and everyone noted the shift almost immediately. You took a deep breath and motioned them to take their seats, explaining them the structure of the planned interview.
“So? What do you guys do other than knocking coffee out of the hands of strangers?” You sent one pointed stare towards the member called Changbin, the man who took your last straw, before you smiled gently again and looked at the other members.
Some of them laughed at your comment and made fun of Changbin, who once again profusely apologised for his mistake but you ignored it all together, still being mad about the incident.
Despite your little jabs, coffee references and his constant apologies the interview went rather smoothly and you would even call it a success.
Almost two hours later you were finally able to wrap the interview up. The members talked with each other while you gathered your stuff, not realising that Changbin was watching you.
You were about to leave the room, biding your last goodbyes when he stopped you. Surprised, you halted, raising one eyebrow in question. Your mouth was a straight line and you made it very obvious how displeased you were.
“I wanted to apologise.”
“Which you did a dozen times already, so what?”
He flinched at your snarky tone but quickly gained his composure again. “Because you’re not accepting my apology.” You were about to say something again but he raised his hand and stopped you, only to continue to speak. “You are not obligated to accept my apology. And I know simple words won’t bring the coffee back nor won’t they erase that incident. But I really want to make it up to you.”
You stared at him blankly, waiting for the punchline to hit you.
“Let me take you on a date, please.”
That definitely hit you. Your eyes widened in surprise and you gaped at him, not able to find your words.
“I’ll take that as a yes.” Changbin grinned broadly, loving the flustered expression on your face. “So? Can I have your number to text you the details?”
