I thought for a split second "there's still time to catch the U.S. dub showing, maybe I should still watch out of sheer spite {for the V.A.s only by this rate}" because it's not happening (showing) for like 1 hour and 1/2 still as of this post (and I was thinking this an hour ago), and then I remembered my location and that it takes well over that amount of time (1 hr+) just to DRIVE to the nearest LimitedTM theater location one way (and the same amount of time back). So. Yeah. Not seeing U.S. dub tonight.

Me, with tears in my eyes, making mental notes of the reference shots for Meiko, who was canonically from Tottori, shown in flash-backs there, and used Tottori-ben (dialect) in a scene of "Kyousei" relevancy WITH TAICHI during an emotional moment clearly meant to be POSITIVE (also implied by the reaction of the 'Mons)...: ( T h a n k y o u !!! )

Me: No, genuinely, if anyone else had the childhood experience of P.k.m.n and DigiAdv dub (specifically, THEN 02 dub later on) airing on the SAME channel in your location, you should tell me, actually, because I genuinely wonder sometimes if it was ONLY my location (at time, I didn't actually live there) airing both those programming blocks at the NEAR EXACT TIMEFRAMES (barely 1~ or so hour apart from each other) and I still "????!!?!?" at how that happened for that channel to THIS DAY----

My Commentary:

I have since determined “Our War Game” Yamato & Takeru are, in actuality, some of my favorite “forms” of Yamato & Takeru ever.

A LOT of people never (apparently!) caught these references, but yes, they’re actual things... (You CAN hear it spoken in the script, if you watch the Japanese version)

The implication since “Our War Game” is that “DANDAN” was a regional phrase / part of the spoken dialects there, of the Japanese prefectures (regions/locations) featured in the series. Shimane is where Takeru + Yamato’s grandmother, “Kinu” is from, who is also referenced in the script (“Kinu-san’s grandchildren.”).

Tottori is where Meiko’s family was from, stated in “Ketsui” the 2nd part of Tri. This is why Takeru is the main one to pick up on Meiko’s dialect, and even comments directly on it.

It’s because Takeru recognized it. Shimane and Tottori are both located in the Chūgoku region of Honshu. (Even Koushiro lightly {casually} refers to it as, “The one {prefecture} with the sand dunes!” about Tottori, helpfully, while Taichi, looking RIGHT AT Yamato, mentions, “Shimane’s the one with no computers.”)

“That was a million years ago!” - Yamato, shooting back (who had a lot of misadventures in Shimane during the 2nd Adventure movie in J.P.N, “Our War Game”)

In the mid-end half of “Kokuhaku, the 3rd film, we see a small segment of Meiko at her original home’s location:

Digimon Adventure: 2020 ~ 2020!Sora Takenouchi Closet/Casual Cosplay by izzyizumi [February 2022]

Just about a week ago I had a really necessary medical appointment, (after staying inside since around March 2020) I’m fully vaccinated now, but going ‘out’ was still scary.

I tried to make the most of it though, before everything had happened, I was really excited to basically try a closet cosplay of Sora Takenouchi in the 2020 reboot; (Obviously, I never got to wear it out) but I could get these photos. I had found this pair of pants the December before that year and before I knew about the 2020 reboot's designs (which weren’t announced until January.) Coincidentally they had a flowery design that reminded me of 02/post-02!Sora... So I tried to kind of make it work? (But I don’t have a great wig yet.) (Though my shoes are old and had blue, not the pastel pink)

I do have pastel pink tops for later, but I didn’t have them on hand in that exact moment, still tried to make it work though! (I’ll re-do these with the more pastel pink later)

Lately I also don’t like showing my face in cosplay photos as much, but I honestly like aesthetic-like shots like these now too.

I’d just like to add, wearing these colors in this combination/style is NOT common or typical of me in my daily life either. It’s usually hard for me to find even a passing ‘closet’ cosplay like this, so again please be respectful on my post if interacting, thank you.

Ok so, my own takeaways from this.....:

- the happenings are due to “ cyber terrorism ” - or REPORTED AS - much more likely “because Digimon” - I.E. THE NEWS IS LIKELY WRONG - THEY’VE BEEN CANONICALLY WRONG BEFORE - RE: A LOT OF THINGS (HIKARIGAOKA, TRI HAPPENINGS ETC.) - Taichi stayed at home ALONE ... - Hikari does not appear to be sick ??? - also indicated by her appearing in the poster itself, of course (yes I am aware of her presence there AND THAT GLOWY ... THING) (that looks very suspiciously like a feather) - summer camp is at THE END OF THE WEEK - i.e. IT IS NOT THE SUMMER CAMP TIME YET as of 1st episode - maybe this is why Hikari ISN’T SICK ??? ? ? - i.e. “ Adventure if it started a WEEK EARLIER ” - ... in the year 2020 instead of 1999 - the snowstorm (“snow in summer”) likely HASN’T happened yet ??? - as a result of this timeline change - maybe THIS is (also?) why they’re not wearing gloves, etc. etc. this time ??? - or maybe it’s just design aesthetic things

- they are in Shibuya [ instead of Odaiba, because Taichi leaves for Shibuya ] - MRS YAGAMI AND HIKARI ARE STUCK INSIDE A MOVING TRAIN - THAT CAN’T BE BRAKED - TAICHI GOES STRAIGHT TO THE PLATFORM - TAICHI YAGAMI WHAT DO YOU EVEN THINK YOU’RE DOING - coincidentally his new profile reports him as: - “ He has a strong sense of justice, and will always run to help when his family and friends are in danger! ” - and also “ The passionate young boy who takes action ” - then again this is also typical early Adventure!Taichi descriptive, in general

- Taichi DOES go to the Digital World ( at least in the 1st episode ?? ) - we also have confirmation of the Real world (still) being involved, as well - problems in the Digital World affect the Real world - in the poster, the top half is the Digital World while the bottom is the Real world

- others in the fandom (MYSELF INCLUDED) have noted similarities re: the start of Frontier’s plot + the Shibuya + train station locations - coincidentally, Shibuya is also the location of where Pump(kin)mon + Gotsumon episode happens in ADVENTURE, which may be relevant - literally the Japanese episode title of that one Adventure episode with them is “ Pump and Gottsu are Shibuya-type Digimon ” - i.e. they are very known for being relevant to this location - it’s basically the entire point of their storyline that they are Shibuya-relevant - Yamato and Takeru DID take the train in this episode too .....

^ SHIBUYA ( see: the sign ) was the entire premise of this episode ^ the subway/train scene seemed very poignant ... ... and seems to set “ a mood ” for the rest of the episode ( here they are discussing the Takaishi+Ishidas’ families’ separations / divorce in the Japanese version of the episode; Takeru proceeds to fight with Patamon, who flies off into Shibuya ) - we’ll know for sure if this bit is actually Frontier inspired if a mysterious voice sounds on 2020!Taichi’s cellphone to ask him to make a choice (hhhhhha)

- ANYWAY THIS COULD BE WHY HIKARI’S ON THE POSTER YEAH - ADVENTURE IF IT STARTED A WEEK EARLIER, IN 2020 ...................
