Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of the Aeolian Islands. The full moon rising above the Italian mainland. Because of the hazy skies, the swarm of Scarab beetles, initially headed for Mt. Stromboli, is disoriented, lots of them turning in circles.

Skellig Michael (also known as Great Skellig) is lying together with Little Skellig about 13 km west of Bolus Head on the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. The island is at the centre of a 364-hectare Important Bird Area established by BirdWatch Ireland in 2000. Skellig Michael is also famous for an early Christian monastery that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The topographical dataset is produced by the Geological Survey Ireland (GSI) and is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence.
