Hi, there. Do you have some Kakashi-in-fluff relationship with child-on-the-way fic recs? It's so hard to find good ones in this specific category!!!

Honestly, I don't read much in that category!

I can recall reading and liking precisely one story involving Kakashi and a pregnancy, and that was Altered Reality by Dimigex. It leans more bittersweet than fluff from what I recall (it's a dimension travel story so Kakashi is in his peak of harrowing experiences) but I do love his relationship with Rin in it.

However, if you're up for more baby-taking-in (adopting) than baby-making, I also really, really loved the Spy Dads stories by @yeehawnojutsu. It features Kakashi and Tenzo being responsible for Naruto and Sasuke respectively. Absolutely a delight to read. Not without its serious elements, but wonderfully balanced in its family story, slow burn romance, and other plots.

I realize neither of these is exactly what you're asking for, but they are the closest I can think of with Kakashi + good relationship + child! I'd recommend them either way. I wish you luck in the search!

New Blog

For anyone interested. I started a new blog @dimigexwrites which will have all of my stories without the chaos of my main blog. This is where I will post updates on stories, post drabbles, etc from now on.

Well Dimi, I'm not sure what you were thinking for this one, but my mind went to a high school, modern AU. I really hope you like it.

Kakashi had said no when Obito asked. He’d repeated that answer when Rin asked. When he saw Genma coming he turned the other way, but that led him right into Gai.

Gai had a way of making anything sound like a good idea. He’d insisted that not throwing a party would have been wasting their youth, and as absurd as that was, Kakashi never could back down when Gai fixed him with that challenging glare.

That was how, three days later, Kakashi bid his father goodbye for the weekend, assuring him everything would be fine, knowing all the while it wouldn’t be.

Sakumo hadn’t been gone for ten minutes when the first wave arrived. Obito with everything he pilfered from his grandmother’s liquor cabinet; Genma and Asuma with a keg. Overall it was shaping up to be the kind of party Kakashi would rather avoid all together.

The second Rin and Obito turned their backs, Kakashi disappeared to the roof with his new favorite book. He’d stay there until the masses thinned out, then head back down and bully Genma and Obito into cleaning up. It wasn’t a perfect plan, but it was an improvement.

He stayed stubbornly in place when the smoke detectors went off. When Asuma and Kurenai popped up, giggling and looking for somewhere private, he fixed them with a look that caused Asuma to scowl and Kurenai to blush up to her ears, but he didn’t leave his spot.

Then there was a noise coming from the street that even Kakashi couldn’t ignore. Peering over he found three couples, for some unknown reason dressed in togas, running down the street in a piggy back race. And that was when Kakashi had enough. He marched back down to the yard stomping all the way, ready to kick everyone out, and only a few minutes too late.

The blue lights of the police cars were illuminating the yard, before the first insult could escape his lips. The people still inside were allowed to leave, but Obito, Rin, Genma, Shizune, Yamato and Iruka were all sitting along the curb with an officer standing over them. It didn’t take long for Kakashi to work out why. They were the only one’s wearing togas, after all.

Once the officers discovered this was Kakashi’s house, he was sat on the curb next to his friends. Obito grinned at him with glassy eyes, “Hey man, where you been?”

Kakashi only scoffed, “I can’t believe you haven’t been arrested yet.” Just as he was getting ready for a lecture that would have resulted in his very drunk friends just ignoring him, an unmarked police car pulled up, and the police captain got out of the passenger seat, looking down at the seven teens. “Wait, no, I’m not.”

“Uncle Madara, I can explain.”

Jurr squirmed away from the sensation of short fur brushing against the side of her neck. "There too."

"What about this?" Kadu asked, a teasing lilt to his voice a second before she felt him brush his lips and fur against the other, scarred side. She shook her head where it was perched on her folded arms.

"Not so much there," she said, turning her head back the other way to catch a glimpse of him over her shoulder. She was on their bed, bare back on display as she laid on her stomach. What had started as a massage, working a new medicated lotion into her scars, had turned into a very unprofessional experiment as he cataloged all her ticklish spots.

Fingers dragged along her spine, claws out just enough that she could feel the tips poking against her skin. Jurr lifted her head, stretching her back to draw out the sensation as long as possible.

Kadu laughed, a deep masculine chuckle, before pressing a kiss to the base of her spine. "You liked that." Unable to make herself admit it aloud, Jurr nodded her head and he rewarded her with another pass of his fingers across her skin. Open mouthed kissed followed this time, lavishing her skin with warmth.

Not so long ago this would have been unthinkable, baring her skin to someone else and feeling so comfortable. Kadu had a way of making her forget her insecurities, like how he never looked at her in disgust when she changed or avoided feeling the rough texture of her scars. In fact it was like he couldn't get enough of her skin, smooth or gnarled, and took every possible opportunity to show it.

Jurr jerked away with a squeal when he touched a spot on her left side. Flipping over, she glared at him when he started to laugh.

"That really ticked, did it?" Kadu reached for her side again, fingers just brushing over the ticklish spot before she wrapped her arms around her bare waist.

"Yes," Jurr hissed, "it did." Even though she was getting used to his touch, being tickled was very uncomfortable. She suspected it was more the loss of control than the sensation, but that didn't change her knee jerk responses when something really tickled.

Moving with a deliberate slowness, giving her every opportunity to move away if she wanted, Kadu crawled across the bed and positioned himself over her lower body. Leaning down, he pressed a kiss to the smooth skin just below her belly button. "And here? Do you like that?"

The heat in his eyes made her breath hitch and Jurr felt her cheeks burning. "Yes," she said, the admission little more than a breathy sigh.

Kadu grinned, hooking his fingers under the waistband of her pants. "Good."

Thank you so much!! I've come around to a "fuck the haters" mentality since I made this post, and it's been good for my soul and my mental health lol. However, I'm sorry to report that while the harassment on FFN has dialed down it has ramped up on AO3, because apparently we can't have nice things.

The sad thing is that I tried that. I deleted 8 or 9 hateful anon comments last weekend, and I think 5 of them were on AO3. I ended up turning on comment moderation after I deleted 3 in the space of 4 hours 🥴

I begged people not to do this. I BEGGED folks not to leave me any mean reviews, because of what I'm going through personally. I said in my author's notes that I just got out of an abusive relationship, that I've lost my precious dog, my home, my financial security, basically my entire goddamn life. That I'm unwell. That I'm struggling. That I truly cannot take any more bad things happening, so to please please please just say nothing if you don't like my writing. You don't like this chapter? Just don't review.

I'm so upset, y'all. Seeing this female character I love, whose story I'm crafting based around my own struggles with being ace, and the pain that comes with enduring unhealthy, unfulfilling sex because of it called a SLUT is just... more triggering than I can express. I can't stop crying. This is just the very, very last thing I needed.

So the update I promised next weekend is on hold. Idk when I'll be able to post it. And I'm seriously considering never posting to FFN again. I know a lot of y'all primarily read Naruto fic on FFN, and that's where my audience is largest, but 99% of the cruel reviews I receive happen there.

I'm tired. I'm so, so tired of sharing stories that I've poured my blood, sweat, and tears into being met with cruelty from strangers on the internet.

I realize this is a personal post, but feel free to reblog it. Fic authors keep talking about how cruel reviews drive us away from fandom, and it's something that readers need to pay more attention to.

I agree with pretty much everything the original tweet thread is saying. It's just the commentary of the blogger who shared it that I take issue with. Because I think they're completely missing the point of the tweet thread, and using their poor interpretation to push their own agenda, which is (arguably) in conflict with the thread. We've already discussed all that in private, ofc. I just wanted to state it publicly, in case drama hounds want to act like you and I are having some kind of feud, that that's definitely not what's happening haha

I wish I got paid every time a believer complained that I was “rude,” “aggressive” or “invalidating” for not pandering to the affirmation and validation they’re accustomed to and expect.

If your feelings need validation, it’s probably because they’re not. That you have them at all doesn’t make them correct.

Writing Update - 8/8/22

So, it's been a while since I've done one of these because life has been hectic.

I have a lot of current projects that are waiting on editing at the moment, mostly because I'm not sure which my readers are most excited about so I've been just focusing on what I enjoy.

Here's a rundown of my current stories and the status of the next chapter/update: - All or Nothing (Kakashi/Sakura, Sakura/Sasuke) - next chapter is written, just needs edited - Heart in a Silver Cage (Genma/OC (Setsumi) - next chapter is written - Healing Hands (Tenzo/Sakura) - next chapter is finished with the rewrite, just needs an edit. This story kind of owns my heart, so I've been working on it - Tale of Two Brothers/Duty (Itachi/Sakura, Sasuke/Sakura) - a lot of scenes in this story are written, I just haven't polished any of it - Fragile Strength (Kakashi/Sakura) - this is an unposted story that's almost entirely written, it just needs editing - Some Kind of Disaster (Kakashi/Sakura) - this is a prequel for I'll be the Moon, the first time they slept together and is mostly just smut with plot - Losing Control (Kakashi/Sakura, Genma/Sakura) - This is a hot mess and I have no idea what to do with. I'd love to plot with someone lol - Altered Reality ​(Kakashi/Rin) - ​​​The next chapter is in process in the sense that a couple of scenes are written, but I haven't touched it in a while. 

I think that's all the stuff I've been working on or need to work on at current. But, I'm always interested in knowing what my readers are wanting to see posted next.
