HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY TGS!!!!!

I've had this design for a recombined Jekyll rolling around in my head for months now, so I finally took the time to draw him. For the sake of clarity I'll refer to him as Re!Jekyll (short for Recombined Jekyll) (also the prefix "re-" feels kinda fitting for him, since he is whole once again). I have many ideas/headcanons for him, but I'll put all that under the cut :)

As for the drawing itself, I tried to mimic the look of the comic for the most part. (Note: Many of the colors used here were colorpicked from the comic to ensure accuracy.) I wanted him to look less like a 50/50 mix of Jekyll and Hyde and more like a Hyde-ish Jekyll, so I opted to give him the same face and hairstyle as Jekyll, but with some Hyde-like qualities. Aside from the obvious blonde streak, his hair is fluffier, messier, and a bit longer. The hair tuft/sideburn things in front of his ears are based on a mix of the hair tufts that hang in front of Hyde’s ears and university Jekyll’s sideburns. While he mostly wears red, he likes to include a touch of green, as seen here in his cravat. Also he gets the dark eye circles, as a treat. (I just really like Hyde's dark eye circles and don't have enough self-restraint to not give them to Re!Jekyll.)

Various headcanon ramblings about him (plus drawing process) under the cut:

When he's trying to look more respectable, he uses his now-longer bangs to hide his green eye. At first, he also attempts to make his hair look neater, but this is a near impossible task that he eventually gives up on. (He is doomed to live out the fuzzy-headed mad scientist stereotype.)

When people question his sudden change in appearance, he claims his blonde streak and green eye are the result of a chemical formula splashing him in the face (á la Two-Face). Yeah this sounds a little far-fetched, but he is charming enough to get away with it. (Besides, he knows way more about alchemy than they do, who are they to question it?)

This sudden merging of identities is initially super disorienting. It takes him a while to get used to it. (In the first few days, he keeps referring to himself with "we". He eventually breaks this habit tho.)

Has a bit of an identity crisis. (I'm specifically envisioning a scene of him staring at his wardrobe, mostly full of reds and greens, and getting stuck because he doesn't know what color to wear.)

Jekyll and Hyde were so used to having someone constantly there, listening to them and yapping in their ears (or in their heads, rather). Now, for Re!Jekyll, life feels so quiet. It's peaceful, but also a little lonely.

Has a bad habit of talking to himself aloud. When he's alone, he sometimes has whole conversations or debates with himself.

Struggles more with the mundane parts of his job due to having Hyde's impulsiveness and wanderlust. He occasionally has to take little breaks from all the paperwork when he becomes too restless.

He's still goopy. Moments of extreme emotion (stress, anger, excitement, etc.) can trigger the green goop. (Think that one scene in Ch. 14 when the priestess startles Hyde, causing goop to spew from his face.) I like to imagine the guilt of everything he's done hitting him and causing him to have a "that one scene in Howl's Moving Castle" moment.

In rare moments of severe inner turmoil or repression, he may even go into convulsions in addition to the goop, as if his body is trying to transform. (Feel free to disregard this one if you wish, this is 100% just me being super self-indulgent cause I love angst.)

Despite his many newfound struggles, he’s actually very happy! He now knows that Lanyon loves and accepts every part of him, and this helps him to better love and accept himself.

if literally anyone is interested in my specific thoughts (name, gender, pronouns) for transfem 6taro here are some bullet points:

her name is seira jotaro kujo (still actively responds to jotaro; not legally her middle name but spiritually so)

seira means "star" & is purposefully similar to holly's japanese name, seiko

she/he/it (same sentiment as her given name; really does not gaf)

jolyne's hagdad and his pronouns are she/her

star platinum is inexplicably more feminine in part 4 and it still takes jotaro 11 years to figure out because of course it does

she is soso beautiful

part 5 jotaro and part 6 seira are that meme abt trans timelines where 5taro is the saddest man youve ever seen and 6eira is most beautiful woman you've ever met

except shes still sad. the estrogen makes her more conscious of it and also her body and being alive actually. #whoops

wren + remy and a glimpse into their youth

me and my best friend have been calling them siblings for about a year... but the other day we realized we actually have no idea if that’s even canon. i don’t really keep up with any lore so well it’s canon to me now. in the dol that lives in my head

i feel like they’re really heavily cemented into the role of older sister and younger brother despite being twins. ive always seen remy as the type who’s scary because she does evil things while wren is the type who’s scary because he laughs those things off… it would probably be “normal” for a younger brother to be disgusted if he found his older sister dissecting animals, but they have a relationship where wren can accept and avert his eyes from anything. in turn remy is also overly accepting of wren’s behavior.

i tend to imagine that remy is the oldest daughter who really does love farmwork but gets ousted from inheriting the family’s property because she’s a girl. it probably contributed to how cutthroat she is. i love thinking about that in comparison to a male Alex and his own farm…

on the other hand, wren is the youngest son loaded with work he has no interest in … im glad that things work out for them when they make it to adulthood.

remy is somewhat of a serial killer type to me. when she smiles it’s all blank behind the eyes, aside from when she smiles at well behaved cattle. she probably looks the most beautiful when she’s working.

her being exasperated at wren but never really cracking down on him and wren being so acceptant to following her orders is a dynamic that’s really cute to me. i love when twins in media have a relationship that other people can’t really understand >_<

Imagine him hugging his son after 15 years, the first human contact he’s had in ages, and erupting in pain as the Time Loop is no longer there to keep him alive. Imagine him not caring because that’s his son and he can take a little bit more pain for his sake.

What if we were both magic prodigies and it otherized us in different ways and we devoted ourselves to protecting a family member who has general other goals & priorities. What if we both did self-sacrifical devotion in opposite ways.

What if we were dark mirrors of each other and where I've grown overcontrolling you've grown complacent. What if, bought as a servant into a pretty loving home, ownership and control is what love looks like to me, and to you neglected and lonely growing up, love is gratefully taking any scraps of it you’re lent.

By belonging to someone, even if she comes back injured or fails at finding Delgal, she feels like she belongs and is cherished, by owning someone he feels safe in them not leaving him.

She’s what’s tethering him do you see… And he’s the only thing giving her direction and purpose in her state. She needs a compass and he needs a support.

They’re both so out of it 😭 It’s the weirdly intense and unearned mutual trust and reliance on each other?? They’re each other’s weird little comfort codependent teddy bear. Or at least they were headed towards that before SHE DIED THEN HE DIED THEN THEY BOTH FORGOT ABOUT EACH OTHER AND NEVER MET EVER AGAIN. Though she’s also the guard attack hound keeping him safe… And vice versa he heals her and can rewrite her very being with just one wave of his hand. They’re both so so mentally and physically vulnerable both but they cling onto each other. They can’t perceive things accurately but despite it all someway somehow they stumble into something closer to resembling companionship just before they both die. Falin is just that kind and Thistle is just that lonely. Overworked.

We both haven’t lived for ourselves in a very long time, haven’t we.

They both have a similar devotion to the people they love but again the difference is that Thistle starts overtsepping while Falin is self-effacing. The other difference between them is that people care about Falin <3 People have given up on Thistle long ago, and he has given people reasons to, while people refuse to give up on Falin. Yaad has a mini arc about it dw about it it’s ok he’s not all alone in the end 😭😭 He reached out for Marcille’s hand but they already all wanted to help him, they just had to be given the chance to, Yaad just had to be given the chance to, it’s okay I’m okay

Set in the fictional video game world of Garden Comic's "Wanted Man"- this shabby little town is an oasis in a treacherous cyber-western New Mexico! In town, visit the saloon or the shops, explore the valley, talk to locals, engage in community events, witness the horrors, get yourself into a dual- the possibilities are endless!

Although the server is set in an existing world, we strongly believe in bringing in your own complex lore, species, ideas and funny little guys to add on to the story and make the world just a little bit fuller!

Note from a Mod: Even if the server is large in members, the active community is fairly small. If large highly active servers intimidate you- I recommend giving ours a try! There's no need to learn lore right away- we're all just here to have a good time! Features:

Sub-Fantasy: Set in a Video Game, so characters are totally allowed to be a little weird and silly as long as they aren't wildly outside the box! Right now infact, we have slime monsters, angels, robots, imps, aliens- etc!

Loose character limits: As long as you don't have over twelve characters running at one time, go ham and make new guys to cycle in and out!

Small Town Drama: Considering the town is so small, gossip travels quick! Every event is relevant in the grand scheme of things- so don't worry if you feel a a little lost adding new lore! It still affects other characters!

No Magic, But High Tech and Supernatural Abilities : Characters often have highly mechanical tech and body enhancements and/or supernatural abilities dependent on their species- but this usually doesn't mean magic- so if you're still looking for more down-to-earth stuff- its perfectly acceptable just to play human!

Community Proposed Events: We encourage big town-wide events, and love to see what individuals bring to the table! If you want to host an RP event, you can do so without any need for permission- and we'll even make server announcements for you to help advertise! If you'd like to host art events, just let us know and we'll be happy to help set those up!

That stuff is not normal in real life and could lead to damaging consequences. You have the right not to see those things and if someone is posting things that you're not supposed to see, block them.

Please teach impressionable people that if they think depictions of dark fiction are okay to do in real life, please tell them that it's fiction and that it shouldn't affect their moral compass. Also, please teach basic internet safety to children and if you are a parent, please monitor your child on the Internet so that they aren't consuming dark media. Anyone can be impressionable at any age, so we should keep a close eye on those people so that they don't get hurt.

Mando'a Text Abbreviations

I think it'd be funny if "me'shab" (Rusk and Traviss (modified) Mando'a for "what the fuck") was abbreviated in text as "ms" or "m's" the way we have "wtf"

Gty, gdy or gdty for "thank you"/"gedet'ye"

Bgty, bgdy or bgdty for "you're welcome"/"ba'gedet'ye"

Okay yeah that's all the creativity I have right now lmao

Edit: Okay, upon being informed that "MS" is a (Legends) canonical abbreviation for "mir'shupur" (brain injury), here are some in-universe work arounds: me'shab is more commonly abbreviated as "m's," with the beten being significant, or there's a distinct separation between the domain of medical care (so Mando medical professionals) and the general Mando public, so MS as "mir'shupur" remains a medically exclusive association

Edit 2: Thanks to johamur in the comments telling me about how "MS" as an abbreviation is well-known by both Mando public and Mando health professionals. I still think that the distinction between the medical care domain and general Mando public still stands, but it's more about the context than the Mandalorians using it. In other words, I think it's plausible that most Mandalorians have a collective understanding that MS means one thing in one context and another thing in another context. I also like to think that both versions of MS have the same weight as abbreviations, like they're both well-known by the community and understood consistently as either or depending on context because we don't really have anything like that in English, and also I think Mandalorians would equally value giving appropriate care to someone with a neurological condition and being able to express bewilderment to the roughest, most vulgar degree
