unofficial president of the mary blair fan club 🎨 I visited the Inspiring Walt Disney exhibit at the Met today and omg I’m obsessed!!! The art has always been one of my favorite things about disney, and I absolutely loved being able to see so much original art. I’m a particularly big fan of Mary Blair’s art, so it was incredible to be able to see some of her originals (and yes, I did buy a print of her Cinderella carriage scene). Day 6 of the #discoveringdisney photo challenge: ART . . This statue is located in Epcot's Japan Pavilion. There is a cute exhibit there by Sebastian Masuda.The exhibit is called “Kawaii: Japan’s Cute Culture” and this piece is called Melty-Go-Round (Harajuku Girl) ⛩️🇯🇵🏯  . . I honestly thought I was going to have to skip today's challenge but, then I remembered that my sister and I both loved the Japan's Cute Culture exhibit and this statue definitely stood out 😍 . . This pink, transparent, sculpture is made up of toys, jewelry, and other objects that Masuda collected while traveling to other Asian countries as well as the United States. He collected inspiration from all over.
