Update: I bought Alexa too! Fixed their hair and got them cleaned up- they still have a lot of sun fade but I’ll work on that later. For now I just love watching them interact. Next step is to get them accessories!

Diva Starz Fanart

Okay so Diva Starz was my absolute childhood as a kid and in fact it was one of my huge inspirations in my art style ever since.

I don't see much fanart of this discontinued doll line but here's the original four girls in modern fashion! (Sorry Miranda)

When I was a kid, the Diva Starz had four girls, Alexa, Summer, Tia, and Nikki.

Summer was there with the other girls for a short time, then she supposedly went on "vacation" and was replaced with another girl. The way I remember it, you could still go to Summer's room and play the games, but Summer was gone due to the supposed "vacation."

The new girl was named Miranda. She was a white blonde girl that loved fashion. Sound familiar? That's because she was basically Alexa 2.0.

I don't get the point of replacing Summer with an Alexa clone. Miranda was pretty much the same character as Alexa, so she didn't add anything new to the group. If anything, it took something away, because she replaced Summer, who was unique and not too similar to any of the other girls. You had a fashion girl, a black girl, a sporty girl, and a nature girl. Why did they think they needed another fashion girl? If they had just added Miranda without replacing Summer, I wouldn't have minded, but they literally took away a great character to replace her with a clone.

I wonder if they thought a nature-loving girl wasn't fashion-based enough. But Nikki was sporty and that's not related to fashion either. I wonder if they thought a blonde girl would sell better as a doll or something, though I myself, as a kid, would much have preferred a red-headed Summer doll over a blonde Miranda doll any day of the week.

as soon as i saw sparkle star she reminded me of nikki from diva starz, my beloved most favourite lost franchise. i actually started collecting lol omg dolls because i wanted to recreate summer, alexa, tia, and nikki and ☺️ here they are lol!

I found this Diva Starz Summer at an antique mall the other day. I had considered getting one for the past few months but wasn’t sure if I wanted to commit to another doll line. As soon as I saw her though my decision was made. She does work, though her speaker is a little muffled. I spent some time today washing and styling her hair, and I hope to eventually clean up some of the yellowing plastic on her face and feet.

Who snapped Alexa’s and Summer’s necks? The blonde doll could be Miranda since I remember that there were two different blonde Diva Starz. At least Tia is okay. These poor victims and the unharmed doll were found at the Karm Thrift Store on Western Avenue in Knoxville, TN
