Do they ever change up the choero during DLYH when Bobo says “And the little one said” when Aragon’s shorter than Bobo? Or is it taken as more of a tongue in cheek sarcasm bit?
That line comes from a nursery rhyme called ten in the bed. Same as the "I'm the queen of the castle, get down you dirty rascal" lines, those come from another nursery rhyme called king of the castle. So it doesnt refer to the queen's heights.
This is one of those things where you need to remember that when six was written no one planned for it to go past its original Edinburgh fringe run. Which means the expectation was that most if not all the audience members would be from the UK where (to my understanding) those particular nursery rhymes are better known. Those lyrics did carry on from the start and now its meaning is lost to most people but that is where it comes from (if six was originally intended for WE or any sort of bigger/longer run the lyrics might have been different from the start).

I have nothing to say right now still processing everything that happened and trying to get my head in the right place lol.
Well that’s a lie, not nothing:
- Maiya?! Oh my god, she has absolutely ramped it up these last few years, her high notes and just her voice in general was so strong and insane
- Millie did a newer characterisation of Boleyn with more of a sarcastic rather than ditzy take and honestly the woman is the whole package now it worked great (my friend I dragged with me came in dreading Millie’s ‘British accent’, she knew nothing about six but had seen a video of dlyh on the one show, came out saying the green one and her song was her favourite and she liked the accent as she was funny. Boom.) she also did a great like.. I know nothing about music notes but she did a high note in a harmony then leveled it up like two things higher while doing it which was sick and got a WOOO from me, I think it was in the ‘maybe it was because of his six wives’ harmony near the end, she went w-i-I-VES x
- Aimies AYWD climax was revamped also, she did a very short and angry ‘never ever’, then ‘enough be enough’ was very vulnerable and tired, I thought I was great
- The other three last did it very recently and I’ve seen them live before, but once again Natalie was perfect and the emotion of heart of stone is just insane, Lexi fucking killed it and the crowd hyped her and Nat so much (I love how much she works the costume after the reveal, someone moved their head so my friend missed the entire bit before ‘as you were’ and had no idea what was going on, god she missed out really xx). I think - THINK jaye j might have had a sore throat MAYBE because I think she struggled with literally one or two notes in no way, only really noticeable if you proper analyse it and have heard it from her many times, but she still fucking went off with her riffs and her more low scale notes were so rich it was gorgeous.
I couldn’t actually comprehend I was watching them while I was watching them and still can’t now so I’m just sat here confused so need to go to bed now bye xx

Great introduction to the queens! The problem with Uranium Suite and Fall Fair Suite is that Uranium depicts how people would see the choir (only on a surface level) while Fall Fair shows us how their actually like but doesn’t provide that much context as to that their a choir. However what Ex Wives does it that it shows them as individuals as well as clearly shows they CAN work as a group but they don’t get much individuality from it
Also speaking of RTC’s St. Cassian Chamber Choir, the Queens are technically a choir! MAKING THISE DAMN MELODIES SO MUCH MORE SATISFYING TO LISTEN TO

Once again comparing my 2 fav musicals, RTC has this thing where each character gets a version of Karnak’s theme, SIX does this too in the Queen’s intros
AND ALL THE REMIXES. ALL SOMEHOW MANAGE TO SNEAK IN MORE GREENSLEVES. THE SYMBOLISM. THE MOTIFS. YESSSSSS
Already tells you the amazing humor of wit and sarcasm you can expect to see through out the musical
More audible foreshadowing via the style of each remix
Lina is simple at first with a few strings, but has a lot of little bits added from time to time. It toys with the melody and what it can apply into the already catchy tune. Her intro is probably the one with the most inconsistency as it does not keep the added stuff going. It has a relatively low and steady beat but makes up for simplicity in vocal potency. ALSO JUST SO SAVAGE SHE ATE THAT UP FR FR. Just like No Way
Anne has a slightly higher and more excited melody. The Tempo is the same but serves less of a heavy role unlike Lina’s and is mainly just the supporting cast to the melody. While Anne’s vocals stay relatively high throughout at the end she goes lower and more sinister. Great audible storytelling! There’s little to no playing with what’s been set up and when there is it’s all subtle. As mentioned before the break is only at the end. It’s so cherry and cheeky but if you look at the lyrics it uh- kinda intense. Very DLYH if ask me
JANE SEYMOUR JUST IS PUN FILLED, THE JOKES. It perfectly sets her up to be the one overlooked and the more… patient and forgiving one of the group. She only ever snaps in one of the two fight scenes. Also the fact that she claimed she was the only one he truly love, while sadly likely to be true, also contrasts how loving and caring her sing ends up being with the slight cockiness that the line can be read as along with the infamous “RUDE!”. Her melody is the middle. The added wind pipes(?) later are the high. The tempo is a sort of balance from the higher notes. Her melody is so melancholy and monotone. It’s very Jane and very Heart of Stone fr fr let’s keep this greatness up!
ICH BEN ANNA VON CLEVES. This one does not disappoint either! You can already see the consistent parallels of Anna’s relationship with online dating throughout the song, so it’s good that’s it’s inky reinforced here but not much! Also Haus of Holbein foreshadowing so I guess that softens the whiplash somewhat- Also this intro if the only one where the other Queens serve vocals more than once, I guess you could connect it to how Get Down is the only song that has Anna going out of her way to get the Queens involved (THATS ISN’T BY U BEING PROBLEMATIC ANNE). Also Anna’s snarky comment at the end is ironic as she was probably the only one besides Cathy who didn’t have to deal with Henry in that aspect. Also very very simple only having the accordion, tempo, and clicks to compliment. Get Down!
PRICK UP YOUR EARS IN THE KATHRINE! WHO LOST HER HEAD! For the longest time I thought it was “beheaded; before I promised you I’d see outside of wed” referencing both how short her life and time with Henry was. But no it’s “promiscuity outside of wed“ 💀. Either works however! Kinda ironic that Kat is the one to interrupt Anna’s comment as… ya know… But anyways. The chord progression on this one is especially of note as it’s actual kinda different from AYWD. While AWYD goes High and ten descends, this one go High -> Lower -> Lower Medium -> Low. Interesting indeed! Long of stings and slashes to replace the clicks that Anna had! Also not sure but Tempo seems to be more dominant?
BAM TINY WHIPLASH STRAIT INTO A LAMENT BABY. Then it goes pop again as Cathy gains her balance. Notice how the beats don’t comeback until that point. The first two lines rather have the piano as the click clack. Past that THEN the tempo beats come back once Cathy is talking about and addressing them as a GROUP. She is the one to slide them back into the chorus after all! Foreshadowing as how she convince them to write fanfic- I mean reclaim their stories! Anyways as I saying, she’s probably the one who shakes it up the most. More foreshadowing!!! Also Pt. 1 of Cathy being an independent women’s who may or may not come off as slightly protective and clingy-. Still very IDNYL!
So to recap that giant section; it’s Good use of simplicity, effects, and contrast -> Vocal centric within a happy lucky tune and beat that breaks at the end -> Puns and a somewhat monotone melancholy feel that easily shows character -> More simplicity and focused on the vocals to carry it, also ironic jokes and sarcasm! -> Interesting chord progression and really good wordplay -> Amazing and subtle foreshadowing mix into a lament turned beautiful transition to chorus
Also apparently the Queens go from right to left if you have ear buds in but as a half deaf person I will sadly never get to get the full experience-

The fact that Catalina is the first every voice you hear in the entire musical but Cathy isn’t the last line in the sing or the whole show is a nice detail, idk if it was intentional fore shadowing but it’s great!
Also the fact that Hamilton ends on “Who lives who dies who tells your story” and SIX instantly throws you with a “Listen up let me tell you a story!” Is my favorite coincidence
Kat’s lines are potentially longer to match AYWD’s length

got to see this miracle of a cast today! here's a recap on each queen and costume/tech notes at the end :))
bre was FANTASTIC! i haven't heard her since her first shows and wasn't too impressed by her, but wow. she has grown so much in the role and is such a natural onstage. loved her no way riffs that caught me off guard. she's so funny and so talented. love.
andrea was amazing as always. i've seen her twice before but she's still going strong! her portrayal has changed over time and it's so fresh i was still laughing at every one of her lines. i was doing the little head movements during DLYH and she saw me and was singing half the song making eye contact with me lol.
keri has the voice of a GOD. her heart of stone was flawless. no words. she fixed holli''s hair after AYWD which was a cute moment.
nicole !!!! i have been dying to see the og us alternates. this was her first show back after a long time for a foot injury and she fell right back into place! her get down is so fun live and i am obsessed with all the extra little riffs she did.
HOLLI' CONWAY. oh my god how lucky am i to have seen this. i have no words but i'm gonna talk anyway. such a funny and sassy howard. i'm not sure if a video boot exists but her mannerisms and facial expressions are on point 110% of the time. her AYWD was mesmerizing. she would sneak in the stress and anger of the song a little bit into the verses but go back to the naive and fun-ness in the chorus. her ponytail got messed up in the final chorus and it was so perfect it added so much more to the song. absolutely adore her.
COURTNEY PARR!!!!!!!!!!! i thought i was lucky to see holli' as howard, but oh my god to see court parr too is just!!! i've seen courtney howard before and was a little worried in her parr not holding up, but man she was so strong! she's honestly such a funny parr which is pretty different than most of the women who play her. i mouthed "sing girl" to her and she giggled. she also sang part of the megasix looking at me as well but i did not get it on video that well :((
tech and costume notes for nerds like me:
the kabuki (purple curtain) was still weird. normally it splits for the queens to walk through then it drops to reveal the set when they sing "LIVE". but lately it's just been risen completely when the house lights turn off during the greensleeves intro. i hope they change it back soon because it didn't have the same effect. the show started about 15 minutes late and i'm assuming it was an in-ear issue. the girls were playing with them the whole show or took them out completely.
holli' seems to have her own howard costume now! before she was wearing old 2020 pieces/other costumes. her choker did fall off during HOH. bre was the only one wearing flats, shoutout to nicole for wearing her heeled boots straight after an injury, and holli' had pink straps so i'm assuming the (new) broadway alts will be switching to the interchangeable straps like the tours.

Hey queen! Long time asker of weird specific six questions and back for yet again another one! I’ve always assumed Andrea was the first one to throw in the extra “I’m not sorry!” at the end of DLYH and I’m curious if that’s true? And if so, how shortly after did the UK queens start throwing it in? Not sure if it was a specifically post-lockdown scenario or not! Thanks for being so awesome and hope all is going well!
Hey! Per my memory she was and the UK only introduced it post-lockdown, but honestly it's been a while and I don't have all the resources to check to confirm atm! If anyone else knows, feel free to comment!

OMG I JUST SAW THE SIX US TOUR AND I HAVE THOOOOOUUGHTS!!
Ho.ly. SHIIT THIS CAST! Complete triple threats and they are pretty different from the Broadway cast in the best way omg (which I’ve already seen)
KHAILA’S ARAGON IS SO GOOD! She has so much energy AND ITS INFECTIOUS!
I also noticed during the scene when Parr is questioning all of this and and rest of the queens mockingly react, Khaila, not in the mic, said “Nobel Peace Prize.” Iconic
THE CHAOS THAT STORM’S BOLEYN EXUDES IS INSANE! She had so much energy and her voice is a bit on the high side and like it
she also did the “I’m not sorry” towards the end of DLYH
also during the Parr monologue, Boleyn and Howard did a fist bump at the “I went through it without decapitating anyone BEHEADED COUSINS LETS GOOO
JASMINE’S SEYMOUR IS SO WHOLESOME!! Her speaking voice is in the higher side but she still has RANGE! Like when she goes into the “BOO HOOO BABY MARY HAD THE CHICKEN POCKS” line, she straight up SCREAMS IT. So much so that Aragon was against one of the pillars in the set and started to side step away and oml
OLIVIA’S CLEVES IS SO COOL!! You could tell that she loves being onstage both in and out of character. At different points in the show, when the audience applause, she really hams it up
After the reveal, she was admiring herself and turning around herself with her arms out and 👌👌👌
DIDI HOWARD IS SO HEARTBREAKINGLY GOOD! The roast was played more straightforward WHICH MADE THE ROAST SO MUCH BETTER! At the end of the number, she was audibly making crying noises and tensing up
also during the show, she would have the body language of a teenager (hunching in a little, being a bit hesitant to take the spotlight, moving her feet and swaying back and forth a little while standing still) WHICH MAKES IT HURT MORE HOW YOUNG KATHERINE HOWARD REALLY WAS
Gabrielle’s Parr was So Powerful. She stays a bit in the background but when it’s time for IDNYL, SHE BRINGS OUT THE RIFFS AND HIGH NOTES. So yeah, underrated queen
Queens. All of them. THEYRE ALL SO TALENTED!!

I remember seeing Colette Guitart with her Aragon ponytail for a couple of her early Boelyn performances too, or at least one where she was performing DLYH at a mall I think
As a few people have pointed out: yes the Collette ponytailTM was worn for Boleyn in at least one performance.
I remembered the DLUH mall performance but since that was outside of the theater and sort of informal didn't count it as being worn in the show. From megasix photos it seems Collette wore the ponytail in the theater at least once even if she did spacebuns during most of her run.
Which means the correct answer to this question is: in the Gabriella Slade design Hazel is the only Boleyn to not wear spacebuns for their entire run. Collette briefly had a different hairstyle but wore spacebuns most of the time. And both Ashleigh Weir and Christina Modestou had different hairstyles in different version of the show. So the photoset should look like this.
