A ctivities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?

If it was up to him, then he’d go grilling with you every day. Loves teaching you how to barbecue, telling you about how hot the grill should be, what its components are, how long the meat and sausages should be on the iron, that sort of stuff. Graves also loves inviting his Shadows to a barbecue as well. That way he gets to unwind with you and them and you get to know the people he works with. Those are the small celebrations he looks forward to the most.

B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

On the one hand, he loves the fact that you’re independent and can go a long time without him. It’s necessary since he’s away a lot of the time. On the other hand, he does love how dependent you can be on him. Even just the small stuff gets to him, such as you having forgotten your wallet and wanting some ice cream, or you leaning into him for comfort when you’re watching a scary movie together. Yes, he loves you, but he also loves it when you need him. You’re his world, and he’s yours. He’s the big, strong man in your relationship and he’ll protect you from everything there may be.

C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

I feel as though he’d try to give you some unsolicited advice. You’re more than welcome to tell him to shut up, though. But other than that, he’ll try to crack some jokes here and there to get you to smile again. Also not above cuddling you and holding you close to make you feel protected and loved. Your panic attack wouldn’t be the first one he’s experienced, in all honesty. Sometimes, he helps with calming down his Shadows. Will calmly talk to you, play some games to help you get your mind off things as well. Will breathe with you too, if you’re okay with that.

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

If it was up to him, then you’d be living on a ranch together. He grew up on one in Texas and sometimes wants to go back to that life. Just you being surrounded by cattle, sheep, horses and other kinds of animals. You’d have a nice German shepherd together and would tend to the animals together. Of course, he wouldn’t give up his PMC either, but he can dream about that sort of future. He doesn’t think it would ever become reality anyway. However, as long as he gets to spend his future with you, he’s happy.

E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

He leans more towards being the dominant person in your relationship, but he can be passive at times as well. Usually has his hand on you somewhere as well as an act of dominance. Loves having you sit on his lap too, sometimes even in public when there are no chairs. People should know that you’re together and that he’s the one protecting you. He’s more than happy to consider your suggestions, but it’s usually him who decides where you end up going. Especially if you’re indecisive.

F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

He’d be somewhat petty and resentful, but he wouldn’t let it out on you. He wouldn’t really let it out on anyone, he’s far too mature for that. However, you’d have to apologize to him for him to forgive you. As long as you’re being nice about it, he will. It’s rare for him to apologize unless he’s truly hurt you. When he was in the wrong about some fact he’ll usually ignore it. When he fights he gets a bit louder, his accent becomes a bit stronger, but that’s it. He won’t call you anything mean, but it will be known that he’s upset with you.

G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

He’s pretty grateful. Not as much as other people, though. He doesn’t always consider everything you’re doing for him. Not that he takes it for granted either, far from it, but he just doesn’t always think when he doesn’t need to. However, generally speaking, he is grateful for what you do for him. Will show it by either taking you on a nice date to somewhere you’ve always wanted to go, or by taking care of your home in your stead for a while. You, too, deserve to have a day off from it all, after all.

H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

There are plenty of things he doesn’t tell you. Sure, it may seem like he’s very open about his job, but you’ll always get the feeling he’s not being entirely honest with you. However, aside from job related things, he’s a very honest man. While he may sugarcoat some things for you sometimes, he will tell you pretty much everything. You can ask him about any personal detail and there’s a good chance he’ll tell you about it. In fact, I encourage you to do so, Graves enjoys talking about himself to you. Ask him about his plans for you and him and he’ll get quite sappy too and won’t stop talking for an hour.

They tell themself that the hope they spread amongst the people is good. That it's better for them that way, to deny and ignore their destinies until it's finally claimed them. Everyone deserves comfort. Deserves to believe that everything is okay-- that they are okay.

Awkward and shy, he's more comfortable around farm animals and plants than he is around people. Only is closest friends get to see how kind and fun he can be. One day he'll move out to the countryside and start is own farm, but for now he's working his way through the gardening career (baby steps, right?).

Lucas Esparza - Nerd Brain, Noncommittal, Bookworm, Adventurous Lucas's two goals in life are to gain infinite amounts of knowledge for himself and leave a trail of broken hearts as he travels the world to get said knowledge. That makes it sound like he's a horrible person which is because... Well he is, but who doesn't need a villain in their game? I'm sure he has his good qualities, however, I honestly love him for being the absolute handful he is.

Keira McDaniel - Painter Extraordinaire, Gloomy, Maker, Music Lover A bit of a "tortured artist" character who enjoys spending hours painting/crafting in her studio with music playing constantly, blocking out the rest of the world. Keira is very sensitive, and feels the emotional weight of everything around her very intensely, channeling it into her art.

Joslyn Lancaster - Country Caretaker, Loves the Outdoors, Athletic, Glutton Joslyn is a very meat and potatoes kind of gal. She lives for the simple things in life, working the ranch, riding horses, and a good meal. It's never occurred to her that there might be more to life, and the world, outside of the ranch, because what more could she need?

“You know, I can’t help but feel a little left out.”

Gale didn’t jump, at least, and he was quite proud of himself for that. But the little jolt and shiver from being snuck up on—by a vampire no less—just couldn’t be avoided. Astarion, on the other hand, looked casual as anything, absently fiddling with his telescope.

“I’d love to know what I’m leaving you out of,” Gale said, shutting his book.

“Well, my bunk’s right across from yours, so don’t think I missed your little light show with our fearless leader. Reaching into the Weave or whatever it is you call it.” Astarion sent him a pointy grin. “So why does he get magic lessons, and the rest of us don’t?”

There’s no good way to answer this. Luckily, Gale was spared a sputtered out reply as Astarion continued.

“Why, did you ever consider that I might want to learn magic?”

Gale squinted at him as he set his book aside. That’s the thing he was finding with Astarion—it was very difficult to figure out how much he said was just to rile people up, and how much was genuine. Falerin managed quite well with him, given the looks they’d been giving each other, but Gale? Even before his self-imposed year of isolation, reading people had never been his strong suit, and the tadpole really should be helping more than it was.

“Well, you seem to have a good grasp on what you do know,” he finally said. “You know the basics, clearly, and I…well, I’ll be honest, I just assumed this sort of thing wouldn’t interest you.”

Astarion’s hand paused on the telescope, red eyes narrowed as they met Gale’s gaze. “Because you think I’m stupid.”

“What? No! I-I never…what would make you think I…?”

“Oh, it’s not personal. You probably think everyone here is stupid. Here you are, Gale of Waterdeep, big-shot wizard with your plush tower waiting for you. And you’re stuck with us peons while we search for a cure.” Astarion pushed the telescope, sending it spinning. “I know your type. I’ve lured plenty just like you back to Cazador. Perhaps not with your taste in magic items, but deep down, you’re the same.”

“Astarion.” The name came out much sterner than Gale meant it to, and that seemed to give the elf pause. “I don’t think anyone here is stupid, including you. I’ve seen you be plenty cunning, and that requires no small amount of intelligence.”

Astarion’s eyes darted over him, looking for the lie. He swallowed after a moment, then looked back at the telescope. “I really was a magistrate, you know,” he said, voice softer and missing the venom from just a moment before. “Yes, I may have had some help getting there, but that was still very impressive for an elf of my age. And I took it seriously! Too seriously, even, considering that’s how I…wound up like this.” He let out a long breath through his nose, falling silent.

Gale chewed the inside of his lip as he crossed his arms, thinking of the best way to respond. This, he knew, was deeper than just wanting to learn about magic, or even just being clever. But unless he was going to do a dive into Astarion’s mind—which, from experience, was decidedly not a pleasant way to share information—there was no way to tell how he should respond.

“Then let me show you how to reach into the Weave,” he finally said. “You’re able to do it, same as Falerin and I did. It just takes some instruction, and I am more than glad to give it.” He stepped up to stand beside him. “After all, it’s not too late, let’s go. Give it a try.”

A strange look crossed Astarion’s face, like he was caught between surprise and suspicion. His pale brows drew together, and he looked for a moment as though he was going to accept the offer. But instead, he scoffed with a haughty little toss of his head.

“Some of us got our arses handed to us by a pack of kobolds earlier today, so I’m afraid I’ll have to decline,” he said. He once again locked his eyes on Gale’s; this time, though, there was no calculation or suspicion. Just…relief. “But another time, maybe.”

“Just say the word.”

Astarion gave him a little smirk just on the edge of being a real smile, then adjusted the telescope back to where it was before. “Sleep well, Gale,” he said breezily as he turned to head back to his camp. “I’ll let you know if we find any tasty items while we’re out tomorrow.”

Gale puffed out a laugh, then shook his head as he went to pick up his book. Look at that, he was getting people skills. Well, vampire skills. He’d have to tell Tara about this when he got home.

I don't personally see Tuvok as being a positive person for B'Elanna to talk to about much of anything personal without like, some sort of change to how they interact with one another since I think he'd both intentionally and unintentionally antagonize her BUT I can absolutely see them looking at each other and feeling the gender envy even before they know what that particular sensation is. Knowing B'Elanna I bet she'd worry she has some kind of weird crush on him hehehe~ Someone starts a group for queer members of the crew to meet but it seems like more of a dating thing and they're all human and no one else is trans so B'Elanna leaves and runs into Tuvok and is like "Oh! I didn't see you in there." because it's common knowledge by this point that Tuvok's trans but Tuvok just does that 'obviously.' look and goes "...No." so B'Elanna leaves her alone but they happen to run into each other next week and the week after and it eventually becomes an unofficial thing and it's a real rollercoaster. It's a real russian roulette of what kind of a time you're gonna have - sometimes it ends in a fight and sometimes it ends in the most insightful realization you'll ever have.
