At today's session we recorded 'Skartaris' by Larysa Kuzmenko. All three works are written for solo violin, piano and string orchestra. If you want stimulating study music, listen to Antonio Vivaldi. Sure, he may have written the same concerto over 500 times, but you can hardly tell that from the sparkling melodic lines and virtuoistic passages that he includes. 200년 전통의 독일 브레멘 필하모닉 오케스트라(Bremer Philharmoniker)가 한국-독일 수교 140주년을 기념해 오는 4월 첫 내한공연을 한다. 25일 예술의전당 콘서트홀에서 브람스의 ‘대학 축전’ 서곡, 이중 협주곡, 교향곡 4번을 연주한다. 이 악단의 음악감독 겸 수석 지휘자인 마르코 레토냐가 투어 공연을 이끌고, 바이올리니스트 임지영과 첼리스트 문태국이 협주곡 협연자로 무대에 오른다.

브레멘 필하모닉은 그림 형제가 쓴 동화 ‘브레멘 음악대’로 친숙한 브레멘을 대표하는 악단이다. 1820년 브레멘 대성당 오르간 연주자 빌헬름 프리드리히 림이 창단한 ‘브레멘 콘서트 오케스트라’와 1825년 브레멘 ‘프라이빗 콘서트 소사이어티’에 의해 창설된 ‘필하모닉 오케스트라’가 모태다. 1868년 요하네스 브람스의 ‘독일 레퀴엠’을 작곡가의 지휘로 초연한 역��를 갖고 있다. 1933년 주립 오케스트라로 승격됐고 2002년부터 브레멘 필하모닉이란 이름을 사용하고 있다.

마르쿠스 포슈너에 이어 2018년부터 이 악단을 이끌고 있는 레토냐는 모국의 슬로베니아 필하모닉과 스위스 바젤 심포니, 호주 태즈메이니아 심포니의 수석지휘자, 프랑스 스트라스부르 필하모닉의 음악감독을 지냈다. 2017년 스트라스부르 필하모닉의 첫 내한공연을 이끌었고 지난해 예술의전당 교향악축제에서 서울시향을 지휘하며 국내 청중에 이름을 알렸다.
