I miss Dragalia Lost

I love how it genuinely was one of the best gachas in the market

I love how F2P friendly it was

I love playing my faves because they're all at least usable

I love how hopeful and feelgood the story was despite the dark patches

I'm sad we never got to see more of Tiana, Cecile, Harle, Pinon, Lapis, Lowen, Karina, Vice, Ilia, Mordecai, Nevin, Nedrick, Isaac, Sylas, and the rest of the cast

I'm sad it had to come to an unfortunate, quick end

I'm sad we never got to see more of the Zodiacs

But at the end of the day, Dragalia Lost truly brought me joy, and introduced me to several people I hold dear now

Irfan giving handmade leather gloves for Valentine's alongside his mention in adv story he keeps up with fashion. Su Fang's awareness his absence killed his parents. Amane being a political leader of great influence. Jurota's body count. Amane being a psychologist. Grace reacting to her revived homunculus clone husband going "I think science war crimes are ok, actually" and answering with "k" *smashes a glass bottle over his head*. Vice being a legit deadly assassin. Origa turning Satan into her personal punching bag. Nino going "what is... This feeling I have?" while Meene tries to convince Tobias to stop killing himself. Euden improving at music thanks to Vixel. Faris killing his adoptive mom. Verica winning a beach contest. Yukimura revealing the wyrmclans have magical powers. Forte

Reasons the new Alberian Battle Royale is fine, actually:

4 champions testaments and 2 sunlight stones.

It’s completely separate from the main game mode, meaning no one can bring in their BS overpowered units.

The drops are so janky that, to grind out rewards, it’s actually quicker to just die as quickly as possible. Meaning that there’s equal incentive for people who like and dislike the game mode to play; those who like battle royales can keep going “for glory” and those who just want the rewards can grind them out and not touch it for another month.

Excellent monetization opportunity in skins. They should add skins that are only purchaseable with Diamantium, since they’re purely cosmetic and have no input on the gameplay. Revenue for DL can go up.

It’s literally the least toxic game mode I’ve seen so far since it’s all people spamming emotes at each other in good fun and waiting to die. I’ve seen more toxicity out of the fucking event Nightmare battles. This mode is genuinely funny if you’re not taking it seriously.

Honestly, Time Attack making a return is probably worse news than this.

This is why the BR mode isn’t inherently bad thank you for coming to my ted talk.
