So here’s a thought.
In libraries in areas with high tundra populations each book and scroll is accompanied by a jar. Inside the jar is a large block of soap or something similar with a strong and distinctive smell. Any tundra opens the jar so that the smell wafts out as they read. This way, any time they need to recall information from that particular volume, they can open the jar and be reminded by the smell.
This makes tundras more efficient researchers as they can recall based on the scent rather than leafing through the actual tome as other breeds would have to do. Also, because of the nature of their memories, they may be able to grasp information their ancestors read using this.
The method is not perfect, seeing as scent memories are more trained for emotional experiences rather than purely informational or numerical data, but it still gives a healthy push in the right direction when on the hunt for knowledge.

Flight Rising Breed headcanons: Fighting Edition
JUST A FEW HEADCANONS I’VE BEEN PLAYIN’ AROUND WITH REGARDING FIGHTING STYLES AMONG DRAGONS WOO WOOP
Mirrors: Like dogfights, but worse. Females use their tails like whips, cracking their opponent in the face, aiming for the eyes to blind the opponent. Headbutting using their hard skull-like head covering, and throatholds are common tactics with Mirrors. In packs, they are extremely coordinated and can take down full-sized Guardians if the pack is especially dangerous.
Fae: When not using magic, these small dragons use those large claws to attack the face and nose of their opponent. Their small size is a blessing and a curse, letting them evade large enemies but they take heavy damage when hit by a larger opponent. Fight in swarms by dive-bombing.
Guardian: Ruthless if pushed to their limits. Body slams from these suckers hurt. They use their bulk to crush enemies, favouring slow and heavy tactics to crush their opponent rather than fast light hits. Using their strong jaws, Guardians can snap small breeds like Mirrors in half. That large lower jaw isn’t just for show, you know.
Tundras: Fight like a wolf pack. They can track their enemy tirelessly for days by scent alone, deal a light amount of damage- causing open wounds- and retreat again and continue following from a distance. This war of attrition is usually lost when facing more than one tundra, as the frequent spurs of attack are done by different members at different times, wearing the opponent down slowly and over time. Large lower canine teeth coupled with large molars break bones and tear flesh asunder.
Skydancers: Fast, but frail, air-fighters. It’s a tactic among stronger Skydancers to dive-bomb and pick up their enemy by the wings, dislocating the limbs at the joint and dropping them from a high altitude onto sharp rocks or into the Twisting Crescendo, where the dragon is torn apart by the wind walls around the eye of the Crescendo.
Snappers: Snapping turtles. ‘Nuff said. Bother these guys and you’ll lose that hand you’re holding that weapon with.
Coatls: Backwards-facing hook like fangs allow these serpentine dragons to bite and hold an opponent with little to no effort. A neurotoxin that varies in potency depending on the native Flight of the Coatl will paralyze the opponent, where the Coatl will wrap its strong tail around the opponent’s neck and suffocate them.
Ridgebacks: Don’t fight these guys. Fighting on their own, they’re still a danger. Using their large dewclaws to tear and rip at the soft underbellies of their opponents, Ridgebacks are dirty fighters to say the least. Fight them near water. Their back spines are easily broken, but are coated in microscopic barbs that make them a pain to pull out of flesh. Like pulling out a kitchen knife covered in sandpaper.
Pearlcatchers: Don’t physically fight at all, instead using magic attacks from a distance to weaken the opponent. Close the distance between yourself and a Pearlcatcher, and all Pearlcatchers have are their weak jaws to defend themselves with. Though getting any of the black saliva they drool in a bite wound from one of them will cause the wound to opalize, creating scars that look uncannily similar to a Gembond infection.
Nocturnes: Fight in the dark by dive-bombing, headbutting, and biting their opponent. When faced with an opponent of a similar size, Nocturnes will fight mid-air, grabbing the opponent and letting themselves freefall, biting and scratching while they can before they let go and gain altitude again. If the opponent recovers, another Nocturne is probably close by to swoop in for a second attack.
Wildclaws: Cockfight-esque. They use their large, powerful legs to kick and score the opponent, using the knuckle of their wing or their muscular tail to knock the opponent’s head, dazing the target long enough for the Wildclaw to lunge for the final blow with its jaws. Some Wildclaws have also been known to hunt like tigers- only pouncing when the target’s back is turned, and the back of the neck is visible for an easy target.
Spirals: Like Spaghetti from Hell. Multiple Spirals will fling themselves onto larger opponents,  wrapping themselves around wings, legs, claws, necks and heads to weigh the opponent down. Same-sized or smaller opponents meet an end via suffocation, being held in place by the spiral’s double-row of small, cone-shaped teeth
Imperials: Not many dragons have seen an Imperial fight before. Imperials will often fight on their own, if possible. Using their large antlers to overturn large opponents, and their large hyena-like teeth to inflict large, infection-filled bite wounds. Nobody is quite sure what Imperials do to cause such an infectious bite. Within days, the bite wound will fester and seep pus and other fluids if not kept in check. Imperials with spines will often use their tails as a saw, whipping their opponent with the spine-side facing the target to cause a long row of small puncture wounds to inhibit the dragon.

CASTING CIRCLES
I’ve been working for a little while on the system used to cast spells in my lore. So here’s a big giant explanation (with pictures hooray!) So this is a casting circle. How it works is below the cut.
Tumblr media
This is a casting circle. it’s the most basic method of spell casting on Sornieth and is required to make any major effect using magic. A magic user must somehow produce one in order to cast. While they come in many forms this is the most common and the one which is used most often in my lore. It has seven parts which contribute to the over all out come of the spell.
Tumblr media
The great circle simply contains the energy within the spell and makes sure the workings cannot be influenced from the outside. It is not necessary for casting, but is almost always used to prevent tampering and accidents.
Tumblr media
The axis pierces the Great Circle and allows the caster to introduce energy into the system and activate the spell. Alternatively, one may use a staff to achieve the same effect.
Tumblr media
The base rune designates which energy will be the most powerful. Inside of this circle, one of the eleven elemental runes is drawn. For example, a storm spell would have a water, wind, or lightning rune as its base depending on the type of storm the caster wanted to create.
Tumblr media
The major rune is the next most powerful and the minor rune is the least powerful of the three. These have direct effect on the spell as well. Using the storm spell example. Using a lightning base with a water major and a wind minor creates a thunderstorm. Using a wind base with minor lightning creates a cyclone. Replacing the water rune with an Ice rune would create a snow storm. Wind base with major ice and minor water makes freezing rain.
Tumblr media
The channel moves energy from rune to rune and creates the effect by mixing elements together. Most consider this the most important part of the circle.
Tumblr media
Augments are used to create passive effects in spells such as increased time duration. To do this, special augment runes are used. (Time, Blood, Spirit, Chaos, etc.) Augments cannot be used as channel runes! The only exception to this is the chaos rune which is used in shade summoning. Usually only one augment circle is used per spell.
Rune stones are used in place of a base rune when drawing a circle. Once the circle is complete, it is saved onto the stone. This way that circle can be reprojected and cast at any time or place rather than having to be redrawn each time it needs to move.

This is probably one heck of a long shot.
But June 8th is not only Colour release, but it happens to fall on my birthday!
I’m hoping, somewhere and somehow, someone hatches a Double Cinnamon or a Double Caramel. I would be ecstatic if someone could potentially help me find one like that! Even if it’s a Cinnamon/Caramel or vice versa.

So after reading @clan-fuildarach‘s Lightweaver discourse, I took a moment to compile some Lady Light Quotes.
“That doesn’t make you right.”
“...actually...”
*looking at a hand written thesis from a non light dragon*                      “Oh...this is... Interesting! Lets just store that   in the        basement...                fire.”
*from the top of the beacon*                                                                                 “aaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAaaAAAAUuuuuuUUAUUUAAAHHH!”
*after screeching at shadowbinder from the top of the beacon*                       “oh nothing, I just had a small disagreement with a hAG. UNDER. A. L O G.”
“Sorry. those are the facts!”
“okay but I’m right.”
*singsong voice*                                                                                                    “FUN FACT”
