Hello everyone! I have a special treat for you today, something we haven't seen yet in the long history of sharing The Brigade related art. Today we are not going to meet any of the Brigade's bold and brave, nor are we going to meet any of their allies. Today we are going to meet one of the Brigade's adversaries.
Many among the Stormwind upper class and nobility have been wondering and whispering about the noble house of Hawthorne. Some say that the current head of the house, Lord Karl Hawthorne, has been blessed by the Light and its benevolence, delaying his aging. Some say that he owns an ancient Kal'dorei artifact that prolongs his life, and it is powerful enough to keep all his daughters young forever! Others speculate if he could have dragon blood in his veins? His family, after all, has been renowned for its power and longevity for centuries. Lord Hawthorne, a righteous citizen, a patron of art and a stalwart supporter of the Stormwind nobility merely smiles when inquired about the mystery shrouding his house.
House Hawthorne has been a loyal member of the court of Stormwind for so long, many see the lord and his family as an integral part. A thing that has always been and always will be. They are so generous and always help when the need arises, be it with alms for the poor or an intervention of their fabled hawthorne Irregulars, elite mercenaries that always get the job done, whatever the job might be. But how is all this possible you might ask? Well..
Some secrets are better left buried deep within the pits they have originated from. For those, who have delved too deep and their petulant questioning and unfortunate curiosity reaches the wrong ear, tend to meet fate that is far worse than a mere dagger in the back in some forgotten alleyway. But even these are merely speculations.
I hope you have enjoyed the arrival of Lord Hawthorne and a bit of a foreshadowing of the future events that come to pass, when the noble house of Hawthorne meets The Brigade. I have spent a lot of time on this piece, experimenting with many things, but mostly trying to do my best to do justice to Lord Hawthorne. I don't want to be on his bad side, you don't want that either ;).
