Varric’s eyebrows rose at the man’s words, but he forced a grin onto his face. There was something… strange about his friend’s brother. Hell, it was still strange knowing Archer had a brother - two of them, in fact. He was pretty sure she had at least mentioned it at some point but in all the years Varric had known her he had yet to make their acquaintance. Until now, of course.

And this one was… interesting. Dreag reminded Varric of Solas in a way, but more reserved. He was half tempted to start calling him “Chuckles the sequel” but figured that might not go over well.

“I think the atrocities count for doing some things wrong, Hawke,” he told him with a chuckle. “But I’m sure they can be forgiven easily enough.”

So I've come across some takes about how Israel needs to be dreagged more...

And I agree. Israel deserves all the hate and ridicule it gets. However, if dunking on Israel gets centralized, I think it becomes easy to lose track of the side you're taking.

This applies to all oppressed identities, but your focal point is and should always be love, compassion and support for Palestinians. Solidarity with the oppressed is essential for your activism to have a strong foundation.

If your basis is mostly, if not solely to dunk on the oppressors and others you deem to be "morally inferior", said core is flimsy at best. It's performative and surface level, as well as liable to become reactionary in the end.

So remember to center Palestinian voices always!
