A trait of Drew’s that Brent has always admired was how generous she can be, and how she was able to show love and appreciation for those who mattered to her. Every holiday, special days and anniversaries she would manage to surprise a man who once thought nothing could surprise him. In fact it was his wife who made him love surprises once again.

Even now, he was grinning ear to ear and reaching for the bag as though he was a child who got a new toy. The watch was exquisite, with dark leather and a sleek design that was akin to the things Brent likes. He placed it on and turned his wrist to show her.

“Thank you so much! I really love it, it’s perfect for me,” he spoke after pulling her close and kissing her on the cheek as a playful thought entered his mind. “I want to know if you got anything else. Do a little fashion show for me?”

Isabelle allowed him to pull her close to his side. She had asked, after all, what he was thinking. It appeared he intended to tell her just that.

Her cheeks flushed as he whispered in her ear, feeling his lips against her just enough to leave her craving more. Isabelle’s arm wrapped around his waist as she pulled him closer, a small mischievous smile on her lips as she did so. “Well, we can change that...”

Sylvan chuckled softly, petting his peacock Coo’s head a bit. “I take care of Coo myself. It took time to learn to take care of him, but I’m really good at it now. I can even understand what he’s saying rather well. As for plants...?”

He looked towards a few plants on his desk, shrugging a bit. “I’m...okay at taking care of them if they’re normal office plants, but I’m not a huge gardener.”

The apartment itself was amazing, the view couldn’t get any better, upgraded amenities, and the space... the space! But Nico was reluctant as he unpacked the last of his boxes, studying the binder of vintage collectible cards at the very top of it. He sighed and lifted it out, placing it on the bookshelf before leaving the rest of the box to be put away later.

He really had no other choice but to stay. There was no better deal anywhere else, even if the landlord had accidentally booked two tenants in the same apartment it wasn’t as if Nico could give it up so easily. He exited his room to see his new roommate. “What did you say your name was again?”

Momo sighed the feeling in her chest tightening as she looked at the emaciated man in front of her. She always saw him strolling past the restaurant looking in but never entered. Something about him made her talk to him one day giving him a drink but she sensed his hesitation so she never asked him a direct question about his life only that he comeback if he ever needed somewhere to go with free drinks of her. Her father had said she took in too many strays but he didn’t sound angry he admired her giving nature but he was a afraid his youngest and only daughter was going to get herself hurt but Momo wouldn’t leave someone who needed help.

Her ponytail swayed over her shoulders as she laid down the bowl filled to the brim with kimchi fried rice and sat across from him honey eyes sad as she laid her hands out in front of him “Then believe me, I would never lie to you. You can trust me and I promised to help you. You look pale…eat something please just a mouth full and I will not bother you about this again for today but please. I  would never harm you, can you believe that?”

          There was something about this girl’s presence that was soothing to TAOJIN, and while he still couldn’t bring himself to be anywhere near comfortable with the stranger, she didn’t set off the red alarms that most tended to. She had this sort of air of innocence about her, a genuine care for others that couldn’t be overlooked. It was somewhat heartening to see, though wasn’t enough to change his disposition.

          How had he found himself there, though... By this point he was already regretting coming back at all. He should have turned tail and found a new street to walk down the minute she started getting friendly. He shouldn’t have let her get close. It was safer that way... Yet here he was.

          “Please just... leave me alone..” Eyes were downcast and his voice was quiet and strained. He really did detest having to have these sorts of conversations. “I don’t need any help, I’m fine. Really.”

The First Move

She smirked at her boldness they had been skirting around this for a little while and since Delia had made the first move… Hedone pulled the succubus to her pressing her lips against those perfect pouty tongue sweeping into her mouth tasting the lust that lingered beneath her throbbing veins it was almost as much as the woman in question, hands stroking her thighs Hedone stopped before she things that would cause her to float “Next time don’t wait so long.” The goddess whispered nipping her lip with a grin.

Delia laughed in delight, feeling the after-effect of the kiss as though her body was buzzing. Kissing Hedone was like taking a sip of champagne, leaving her intoxicated, bubbly, and wanting more. She was classy and refined, unlike any woman she got close to before and knew that even though this was most likely going to be a casual comeuppance, she would be delighted in every sense. 

She followed Hedone to a more secluded spot after that party and asked something relatively simple, “lovely goddess, do you want to go get some milkshakes together? I know this diner that is open even at this late hour. I just don’t want the night to end so soon darling, you know?”

“Maybe I have ... you jealous?” he drew her closer with one arm as she kissed him, easing his grip when she started talking again. “It’s been quiet for the most part. What brings you back? Can’t be our winter festivities.”

         Oh god...he had never believed in the whole life-flashed-before-my-eyes thing but as they slowly drove, he’s reconsidering the thought. Clutching onto the arm rest, he shakes himself out of the panic he had just experienced. Several deep breaths before he finally reaches over and takes her hand. “Peaches, I’m not yelling at you. You know I wouldn’t do something like that. But you’re too nervous. Your knuckles are white and you’re unfocused. You’re doing good just relax.” He doesn’t mention the pole, or the several times she had swerved over to the other lane...he doesn’t think she needs that. “Tell me when you’re ready again.”
