Pairing: Ben Hardy x Reader

Requested: No. This was for @borhapparker​’s borhap secret santa where I got paired with @drummerqueenrmt​ as the person to give my gift to! Merry Christmas and I hope you like it! <3

Summary: Y/N gets kicked out of the apartment she’s living in with her boyfriend and she hasn’t seen her best friend in 6 months.

Taking a deep breath, you try to steady your nerves before you raise your hand to knock on the door in front of you. You knew it was late and you were taking a chance of no one even being home, but you were here anyway, knocking and waiting. After what felt like a very long minute, you heard footsteps and the door being unlocked. You looked up as the door was being opened.

“Y/N…?” You met the green eyes you hadn’t seen in over 6 months. “What are you doing here?”

“I can’t sleep… Can I stay here?” You bite your lip nervously as you gauge his reaction. You knew that he knew something was up, but he wasn’t pushing it... yet.

“Of course… You know you can always stay here.” He opens the door and lets you in before locking it again. Walking to the couch to take a seat, you start to sniffle as you try to hold back the tears before he joins you. “Are… are you okay? Why are you crying?” 

“He kicked me out, Ben…” you half sobbed as you looked at the floor. You felt the couch dip as he moved closer to you and pulled you into a hug, rubbing a hand up and down your back.

“It’s ok.”

“No it’s not… He made me give up all my friends… I haven’t seen my family in two weeks!” Tears were pouring down your face at this point, but he didn’t care. 

“No, it’s ok, really. We can fix this now. You’re away from him…” Ben pulls back to look at you, wiping away the tears. “I’ll take you to see your family tomorrow after you’ve rested, and then I’ll take you anywhere else you want to go.”

“You would do that?” Ben nods his head as he smiles at you.

“Of course I would.”

“But I was so horrible to you.”

“No, Y/N… that wasn’t you. You didn’t do anything. That was the jerk.” You pull him back into a hug, making him laugh. The next day, true to his word, Ben took you to see your family, where you explained what happened and they thanked him for bringing you to see them. After going a few other places, you go back to his place to relax. “So now what?”

“I don’t know… I guess I go stay with my family?” You shrug your shoulders as you turn to look at him. “I see the wheels turning in your head… what are you thinking?”

“You could just stay here…” 

“What…? Are you serious?”

“Yea… Why not? We were best friends before that dick made you stop seeing me and I have an extra room.” You thought about what Ben was suggesting before you looked back at him. “It would be better than moving back in with your parents…”

“Ok… fine. You got at that point.” You laughed as you threw your hands up in defeat. A couple weeks later, Ben walked in to find you asleep on the couch. Not wanting to wake you, Ben lifted you and took you to your room. As he was walking back out your door he heard your voice.

“Wait”

“Are you okay?”

“Nightmare. I was trying to stay awake til you got home”

“Was it like the ones you used to have?” You nod your head quickly. “Is there something I can do to help?”

“Can you… can you stay?”

“You want me to stay in here with you?” You nod your head again.

“Please.”

“I can do that. You be okay while I go change real quick?” You nod your head one last time and give him a small smile. Ben was back quicker than you thought he would be and crawling into bed beside you. “Okay. Come on, love.” Ben held out an arm as he waited for you to scoot closer to him. “Better?”

“Much. Thank you.” After a few minutes, you still weren’t able to fall back asleep and Ben could sense it. 

“You wanna talk until you fall asleep?”

“We could try, if you want.”

“How was your day? Do much of anything?”

“Not really. Pretty much stayed around here. You?”

“Did some stunt scenes today, so that was fun.” You felt him laugh a little and you looked up at him. You always loved when he laughed. “What?”

“Nothing. You just always look happiest when you laugh” Ben tucked a strand of hair behind your ear as he smiled down at you.

“Can I ask you something and you be honest with me?”

“I’ve always been honest with you”

“You have, I know…. Why… did you come here?” You bit your lip nervously as you searched for an answer. You knew why, but you weren’t sure if you were ready to fully say it out loud. “It’s ok. You can tell me anything, you know that.”

“I didn’t have anywhere else to go...I couldn’t go to my parents. I couldn’t tell my family what he did. You were the first person I thought of…” You feel him run his fingers through your curls as you begin to relax. You look back up and meet his eyes again. “I… I’m in love with you” Holding you in place, he presses his lips to yours in a soft kiss before he pulls back and looks at you.

“You’ve always felt like home to me.”

"Did you comb Freddie Mercury when he came to the country?"

- "I cut Freddie Mercury’s hair." Here it is in a photo (indicates the center table). One day they called me to go to the Sheraton to cut his hair. I asked a friend, because my daughter Paola was in Miami: “They called me to cut Freddie Mercury's hair. Is he famous? ” I didn't know who he was . Frankly I didn't know who he was. He had everything with waves, everything with curls, hair over here (indicated below the shoulders).

“Freddie Mercury arrived with long hair in Buenos Aires?"

- I saw him with long hair. Then we went on to know how he wanted his hair and I said: “To cut it shorter, I don't like it. Either we make a current, modern cut or I would rather leave your hair long. ” At that time it was used long. And we started cutting. And I saw that the drummer grabbed his hair. But I didn't like how it fit. With shorter hair, it would look better. His two little teeth… it was going to be funny, because he had a little bit of his teeth out. Then I cut it short and well, then he acted and left and I never saw him again. He left with my haircut, short, short.

"Do you know what the drummer wanted to do with the hair he grabbed?"

- I don't know, nor did I ask. I did not ask. I did not ask.

               Christmas with Roger Taylor

     On Christmas Eve night, you were riffling through your bag in front of your door searching for keys. It was a long day of work, but you didn’t mind working on the holiday since Roger wasn’t around. He and the rest of the band were in the middle of a big tour and were planning on coming home just before New Years. Roger kept apologizing over and over every time you two would talk on the phone, but you always reassured that it was alright. After all, you were just happy he was able to be living out his dream.

     Finally, you found your keys and opened the door to your flat. You dropped your bag in shock as you were met with your Christmas tree all lit up and decorated with plenty of presents that weren’t there this morning. However, what you were really surprised to see was Roger, who was standing next to the tree in a cozy sweater that you had bought him the year before.

“Merry Christmas darling,” Roger exclaimed with a smile and open arms.

     Without a second thought, you run over to him and share a kiss, both of you smiling while doing so. Roger explained that they were able to fly home a week early, and of course he wanted to surprise you. He then brought over hot chocolate for the two of you, which was your favorite drink. 

     The next day you celebrated Christmas with just the two of you, never leaving your apartment. While staying in your pj's and wearing matching Santa hats, the two of you baked and decorated cookies. This of course led to frosting being everywhere, including on your faces as you playfully force-fed each other the cookies. As your favorite Chirstmas songs were playing on the record player, you exchanged gifts. Of course each one you received was perfect and thoughtful. On Christmas night you two cuddled on the sofa next to the fire, just enjoying each other’s company. 

“I hope you really liked everything love. I wanted to make sure you knew how much you mean to me,” Roger said softly.

“Of course, they are all wonderful,” you replied. “However, the best gift you have given me is just being here and being the sweet, funny, and amazing person that makes me smile every day.”

Farewell, Good Old-Fashioned 2O19

We have a saying in Italian, Chi non muore si rivede (literally it means “those who don’t die will see each other again” –  a bit grim, i know), and it was the first thing that came to my mind when i decided to write this post. ‘Cos no, i’m not dead (yet), i’ve just been too busy trying to participate irl. 🦋

It’s been months since my last post, but i’m not writing (only) to say sorry or to announce that i’ll be back soon, i just wanted to say hi to all the lovely and adorable people i met here this year and to wish them all the best for 2O2O. 🎐

And, most of all, i wanted to thank them. I spent half of 2O19 on tumblr fangirling over the BoRhap cast (oh, we did have fun during the Award season, didn’t we?), sharing countless pictures and more of Roger and getting to know lots of amazing girls in the Queen fandom who made me feel welcomed and loved, like i belonged somewhere. Those months were special, so thank you, from the bottom of my heart. 💖

However, i realized the more time i spent online, the more i pulled away from my real life, and that wasn’t right. So i decided to take a break, which at first was tough, but in time it became bearable and then perfectly normal. (Looks like i still have to learn how to properly use social media without getting fully absorbed.)

In the meantime, i finally managed to be happy and self-fullfilled irl, since now i’ve got a wonderful boyfriend who not only bears with my obsession with Roger, but – u n b e l i e v a b l e – actually encourages it by buying me THE TAYLORED T-SHIRT and by taking me to THE QUEEN CONCERT IN BOLOGNA NEXT MAY 🎉 Needless to say, i’m the luckiest girl in the world ✨ 

Oh, and i also got a full-time job as an English teacher in a middle school (it’s a hard life but i kinda love it), i started going to the gym, i rode a roller coaster for the first time in my life and Roger Meddows Taylor received the OBE! Jeez, these are the accomplishments we should be grateful for 💐

“Uh, Annie?” Gwilym’s voice shook slightly as he tried his best not to hurl. “Annie, I need some help, please!” he raised his voice and covered his nose and mouth with his sleeve. He looked down at Rory, splishing and splashing happily in the tub. “Oh, you’re just loving every bit of this, aren’t you? Little sh-”

“Call my daughter a little shit and I’ll personally break your neck.” Annie’s voice interrupted Gwilym’s tirade. “What’s that smell?” Annie sniffed and grimaced. “Oh no.”

“She pooped in the tub, Annie!” Gwil cried in between gags. “She pooped it the tub and - oh God.” Gwil’s face seemed to turn slightly yellow as he looked down at his chest. “Oh God, she splashed it on me.”

“Look, Gwilly, she can’t control her sphincters yet, alright?” Annie walked over to the tub and rolled up her sleeves. “Now either you make yourself useful or I’m dumping the shit-water all over you.”

Gwilym’s only response was the loudest, wettest burping gag Annie has ever heard.

“Good grief! It’s just poo!” Annie rolled her eyes. “Should’ve invited Joe over instead…” she muttered as she picked Rory up and held her as far away from her body as she could.

“Excuse you!” Gwilym muffled from behind his sleeve. “Rude, much?”

“He handled bath-time poopies like a pro, so…”

“You mean she’s done this before?”

“She’s a baby, Gwilym.” Annie set Rory on a soft towel on the bathroom sink counter. “She poops whether she wants to or not. Now, kindly dump the water from her tub into the bathtub and refill it with clean water, please.”

“I am not touching the shit water.”

“Oh, my God!” Annie pressed her fingers to her temples. “Fine. I’ll bloody do it. Just make sure she doesn’t roll herself off the counter.”

Three Thousand Miles Part 1

Joe Mazzello x Reader

@mazzellocheese requested a long distance dating fic with Joe so here it is! (I got a little carried away with the backstory... oops)

Warnings: some fluff, some angst 

“It’ll be okay babe” your boyfriend reassured you as you held onto to him outside the security check at John F. Kennedy Airport.

“Promise you’ll call or facetime every day?” you asked looking up at him with puppy dog eyes and that lip pout you knew he couldn’t resist.

“Of course. You know I can’t go more than 24 hours without seeing that beautiful face and hearing your voice.” He gently pecked your lips with his before pulling your head back into his chest and tightened his grip around your torso.

“Time to get going Joe”

You groaned annoyingly at Rami’s voice and turned to see the curly-haired man looking at the two of you apologetically. You gave him a quick hug and turned back to Joe, both of you trying to hold back the sad tears in your eyes.

“I’ll see you soon I promise” his hand came to the back of your head and he pulled you in for one more kiss. His lips hit yours hard but then relaxed as he inhaled deeply through his nose before pulling away. Your mouth followed his, trying to stay connected as long as possible not knowing when you’ll get to taste him again.

He swiped his thumb across your cheek and his mouth turned up into a small smile “I love you, Y/N”

“I love you too” you smiled and squeezed his other hand, feeling the pit in your stomach growing and all you could focus on was keeping your tears from falling past your bottom lids. You didn’t want him to leave seeing you crying and you knew that it would only make him cry as well.

He bent down to pick up his backpack and you pulled his passport out of your pocket. You handed it to him slowly, trying to delay the parting as long as you could. His hand gently caressed your own as his took the small, navy blue book. Joe kissed you on the forehead and squeezed your shoulder before turning away without making eye contact. You watched the two men walk up to the security agent and could already feel your legs start to give out from all the dread that was washing over you. Joe dropped his head and Rami rubbed his back as they waited for their passports to be checked. He turned to look at you one more time before walking through the gates. You smiled and waved, and then he was gone.

You were numb as you walked to the parking garage, the ringing in your ears drowning out the chatter and car horns of the busy New York City airport. Suddenly you were at your car and as soon as you closed the door behind you, that pit in your stomach exploded. Streams of hot, salty tears washed over your face and your hand shook as you turned the key to start the engine.

An hour later you were sitting on your shower floor, knees pressed against your chest, staring at the tiles on the wall in front of you. Quiet music was playing in the background, but you weren’t really listening to it. Until a song came on, that song. Your favorite song. The one that was playing in the bar that one night. The night that you first met the love of your life.

(Two and a half years earlier) You carefully walked down the steps in your three inch black pumps, part of your go-to party outfit along with the cute little black dress that was so comfortable and hugged your hips just right to show off your curves without being too sexy. Pulling open the pub door, loud music and excited chatter hit your ears. You barely made it through the entrance before you saw Sami’s bright smile.

“Y/N! Thank you so much for coming!” He hugged you with one arm, holding a beer bottle in the other.

“Of course, I wouldn’t miss it! Happy birthday!” You smiled at his infectious joy that always put you in a good mood. “Where’s Rami?”

Sami opened his mouth to answer but before he could, two arms wrapped themselves around you, lifting you up and spinning you around. You gasped at first, but were giggling by the time your feet hit the floor.

“Happy birthday Rami” you managed to get out between laughs.

“Thank you Y/N. Let’s get you a drink and then I want you to meet someone.” He winked and you rolled your eyes as you followed him over to the bar.

You’d known the Malek twins since you were all kids; they were basically your brothers. Rami was always trying to set you up with people and usually disapproved of anyone you picked on your own to date. Unfortunately he was usually right about them, so you had agreed a few weeks ago to meet his latest pick. You tried not to have any expectations, especially since Rami had been hyping up how perfect this guy was for you.

The bartender placed your drink down in front of you and Rami motioned for you to follow him over to the corner of the room. You began walking towards a booth where two men were sitting; you vaguely recognized them as actors from something that Rami had worked on, but couldn’t figure out much more than that. “Y/N, this is Joe and Martin” Rami introduced you as he sat in the booth across from them. You joined him and said hi to the guys, unsure of which one Rami was trying to set you up with. You felt yourself starting to blush and tried to hide it as you sipped your drink. Martin was definitely a beautiful man, but something about Joe’s eyes had you mesmerized. Then you saw his smile. The most stunning smile you’d ever seen in your life. You had to remind yourself not to stare at him for too long so you ended up looking at your hands most of the time. You were quiet, almost too quiet as the three men talked and you occasionally threw in an agreeing head nod or laugh at a joke. Rami was giving you strange looks because shyness was extremely out of character for you.

You’d only been sitting there a few minutes when Sami pulled his brother away to say hi to a cousin and almost immediately Martin excused himself to go out for a smoke. When both you and Joe declined his invitation to join, he left, and you were alone with Joe. You found yourself staring at your hands again, this time nervously fiddling with the gold charm bracelet on your wrist.

“I really like your bracelet” you looked up at the sound of his voice and your eyes locked with his gaze. The corners of his eyes pulled down when he smiled, almost making them look sad, but still beautiful.

“Thanks” your voice cracked with the word and he chuckled. You laughed timidly and took another sip of your drink. You knew that he could sense your nerves but you couldn’t shake it. Every time he looked at you the hairs on the back of your neck stood up and you felt a tingling in your chest that you’d never felt before.

“I don’t bite, you know? Unless you’re into that” He immediately pressed his lips together into a tight line and looked away from you, as if he couldn’t believe what had just come out of his mouth. You almost spit your drink across the table but managed to swallow before bursting into a fit laughter. Normally a comment like that would have you rolling your eyes in disgust, but from him you just found it funny and… almost sweet? You suddenly realized that he was almost as nervous as you were, just better at hiding it.

When you had finally stopped laughing, you found him looking at you with a shy smile. You stared back until you realized that he was waiting for you to say something. “I’m sorry I don’t know why I found that so funny.”

He started to shake his head and chuckled, “Please don’t apologize. You have the cutest laugh I’ve ever heard in my life.” Now you were blushing again. He offered to get you both another round of drinks and took your empty glass as he headed over to the bar. You couldn’t help but smile to yourself and when you looked around the room you locked eyes with Rami who winked and gave you a thumbs up.

Suddenly you heard the quiet guitar intro to one of your favorite songs start to play over the speakers, so you just sat and enjoyed the music while you waited for Joe. Well next thing you know, that handsome ginger returns, drinks in hand, dancing and singing along…

That was the moment you knew that he was the one.

(present day) You step out of the shower and wrap a soft green towel around your hair, humming along to The Doobie Brothers. Still lost in your thoughts and the music, you’re brought back to reality when you hear your phone vibrating on the bathroom vanity. Walking over to glance at the screen, your heart starts to race when you see your boyfriend’s name and the adorable picture you took of him when he was sleeping. Your hand shakes slightly as you pick up the phone and put it up to your ear, “Hey baby”

“Hey! We’re boarding soon so I just wanted to call and say I love you before my flight.”

“I love you too Joseph. I already miss you so much.” He knew that you only used his full name when you were upset, and you felt a bit guilty for making him feel bad about leaving.

“I miss you too Y/N, more than you could imagine.” You heard him sigh and there was so much sadness in his voice. Your heart dropped when you heard the gate agent in the background announcing that they were boarding the plane. “I have to go now,” he said quietly.

“Okay love, text me when you get to London.” You tried to sound more positive, but he knew you better than that.

“I will. I promise. I love you.” and he hung up.
