Day #11 – Customize II

Ah yes, colorful mess my favorite

And yes, I’m a sucker for Regular Show, and I’m not ashamed of it

Sorry for the slight eyestrain by the way, was experimenting a bit with color layer settings

1. +Super Meat Boy: Platformer protagonist, hyperactive and mostly optimistic –same traits I recall on FPM personally ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2. +Chuck (Papa Louie © Flipline Studios): I HC FPM to be a beach/tropical person, let alone they have similar hairstyles and their signature color (presumably on Chuck’s behalf) is orange

3. +Rigby (Regular Show): Mostly by contrast, although I can recall them being both outgoing and…kinda rebellious too on some regards (altho OG Rigby himself is on a different level of savage when it comes to doing wild things so…y’know)

4. +Mordecai (Regular Show): Besides them being mostly chill and kinda bright when taking part on important things, remember the episode Mordo did art and it derailed into a chaos that came off as a reverse Murphy law situation? Yeah, let that sink in

5. +Skips (Regular Show): Jumpy boi

Also recall the chill thing with Mordecai (altho toned up a bit and adding the mostly silent part) and the fact they got skills at fighting (from what I’m aware)

…And yeah it was because he pulls off a more casual version of FPM’s drip (at least from my POV)

Is it just me, or does it seem I might have an unhealthy obsession with the ink man…?

…yeah I clearly am still not over the “new boss holy shit lmao, he also a stickman with pants omg sdfgh” phase just yet

Or probably because I’ve made him a big deal on VBA and that’s why I’m just eager to draw his ass in a constant

First time drawing the ink demon boss, how’d I do? :^)

Did the cave boss bg from memory, hopefully it’s close enough to the og level design

Also mind you, the blob besides the ink man is also him, I just drew it there as a way to acknowledge his two forms (blob/stickman)

Day #16 – The Disco Pirate Gang + The Fun Gang “*You’re filled with the shine of disco balls on a Saturday night out”

Fun fact about this by the way - This prompt was originally meant to be related to a shitpost regarding the Disco Gang being mashed up with other characters/franchises/yougetthepoint (specifically the dancing sprites as a “the time traveler sneezes; the timeline” sort of joke, I would’ve added Kris, Susie and Ralsei doing their dance moves as well but since it required a style swap too –and I’m measuring my time management a bit more thoroughly lately for good reasons- I decided to drop it; sorry folks, no funny bread borne style redraw today ú_û), and one thing led to the other…basically this prompt was the genesis to the Drunk FancyMonth itself

And just as a little extra, here’s the dancing sprites in motion; they’re separate because I couldn’t animate them all together due to time frame incompatibilities (used outside references to calculate times, go figure how well that went in the end…sigh). They’re kinda fleaky but hey, at least there was an attempt

Jokes aside, everytime I saw the Junk Lord back when it was barely starting I was like “lmao he reminds me of sfpa’s final boss”

NOW IT’S HERE AND I’M GLAD IT IS, YAY

2. Ink Man + Raven (Teen Titans): …uh, yeah

It was a sort of acid trip idea, but it could work in an villainous/anti-hero twist, right?

3. Cutie Pants Girl + Marceline / Science Kid + Princess Bubblegum (Adventure Time): Ahaaaaaa…what the hay billy jay

Fits well for SK…not so much for CPG though (I tried)

Also yeah I sorta “ship” these two, but in a platonic sense, I think it’s funny

3. BookWorm Girl + Margo (Despicable Me): *laughs in broken neuron activity*

Jokes aside, I was thinking on cartoon engineers when making his B-style, hence his clothes looking like taken from a 90’s caricature of such(?)

2. Mr. Mayor: Candy cane hat lookin’ ahh

3. King’s assistant but in vintage: I’ll be real, I suck at pinpointing styles, I was thinking of old school receptionists when making her clothes

4. Flamingo Mice: Spanish fleas all around

Jk, I was thinking on fancy gangsters for this one

5. Pin Ninjas: Picture this

Me talking to myself while building this on my head:

“okay let’s change the mask, add some wrist warmers(?) and call it a day”

“yeah but how about we also change the toothpick for a cushion pin”

“y’know, those u use to pick and hold together things when sewing, also we could color the end as the color of their masks”

Not exacty how it happened, but tl;dr I feel like I did a wild thing for these guys’ B-Style, just a me thing

6. Fairy Cutie Pants Girl: Initially mean to reminisce a unicorn ballerina, but then I was “nah make her sparkly instead”

Day #10 – Customize I

“Those pants are real fancy for sure, but what about a little twist on their fashion? Diversity is key in standing out, after all!”

Went all out for this one, huh-

Also I decided to use the routes tool for this one, mousepad’s too flimsy for me right now @~@

So, to give you an idea of what was behind my line of thinking here:

1.- Jungle Pants: Gave him a more tropical explorer style, hence the hat on his shoulder (I forgot the string that was knotted on his arm, cries)

2.- Sea Shorts: Alolan pokemons be like

Also yes I was mainly inspired in Luffy from One Piece, never seen the anime myself but hey, funny monkey man seemed fun to reference a bit

As for the thing on the hat, it was mean to be a compass but then I said “nah let’s make it a medal or smth” and well, there it is

3.- Newgrounds Override: A NG overload of wardrobe, I’ll be real I almost lost my mind trying to remember what was what on the sketch

Also fun fact, that weapon thing can shape shift for better efficiency in combat…idk wanted to point it out jic

The penguin a wrestler fan? Yeah, that’s my headcanon (he may also be into bullfighting too…except it’s the type where the bull is the one that gets its way through in the rodeo, hehehe-)

And yeah, the mouse is referencing current events at the cinema and the copyright offices as well; who knew mice PJs were just as fancy

Also, guess you might’ve noticed what was the thing that took me more time to detail out…

Day #2 – She’s beauty, she’s grace; she will kick you across the face

“Have you ever wondered what it could’ve been if Cutie Pants Girl endorsed her ‘Princess Pirate Girl’ for real back in World 3? Well, here’s a little idea of that…with a bit of wardrobe and scenario overload included!”

Yaaaaas go get that bag sissssss-

eh…ahem

Not gonna lie, I like how this one turned out; white outlines really do wonders for this kind of stuff, especially decorative-wise

As for the outfit I made for her, I was thinking of something that was a mix of a pirate captain and a rebellious queen, kind of referencing Marie Antoinette on her ‘fit, though it’s more from an interpretation of her that I got from one of the movies (if not the movie) that have been done regarding France history involving her (it’s literally named after her in case you’re curious). Might not be the greatest one to reference but let’s be fair, pirates aren’t any better if you think about soooo...yeah

Still, villainous or not (not saying she is anyway though), she looks sick on that treasure mountain

…By the way, sorry for the vague designing, didn’t feel like overdoing it too hard (plus I only had her individual sketch so the stuff was made on advance so y’know)

I have no clue why there’s spikes though, they were just…put there because they’re there and my brain and I though they looked cool and nice and funny and we left them there and…yeah, I’ll stop my ramble now, sorry :’^)

Day #1 - The man himself! ...hold on a second- "Don't mind him, he's just practicing his balance...under his own terms to say the least"

Yeah I let myself flow on this one I did say it had to be as silly as you'd think so...yeah, the sketch was a looney and so was the coloring

And yeah, I have my prompt sketches made in advance, they were gradually made back in last year's december, so y'know, it didn't come off heavy on the hands long term

I'll admit, it's a bit rushed, but the result came off pretty nice still Reason why it's plain is due to me trying to stick a bit to the FPA style (althought it was also cuz I wanted to make it quick enough so yeah :'^) )
