#historically the key to other countries culture was based in #Royalpaces but in London #newideas & #culture fanned out from the #mayfair #salons of #eccentric #lbgtq ⚜️#madamedestaël the toast of #Paris discovered the larks of #Mayfair #Salons after she failed to crack #londonsociety on her first visit. #lordbyron persuaded her to try again ensconcing her in Flemings famous #regency #boardinghouse on #bondstreet & introducing her to the women such as #ElizabethMontagu - who ran the leading Salons on #HillStreet & later #portmansquare after which her fame in London finally took off. #OscarWilde on other hand became the toast of London from his arrival thanks to an introduction to the #DuchessofWestminster sister of his Oxford-acquaintance, Ronald Gower. While walking through the lofty rooms of the Duke of Westminster's house - now the @grosvenorhouselondon #ParkLane he said to fellow writer, Le Gallienne, "Ah, Richard! This is how a gentleman should live." To be in society was, Wilde thought, a bore; but to be out of it was a tragedy! “To get into the best society now-a-days," he was heard to say, "one has either to feed people, amuse people, or shock people - that is all." As he could not afford to feed them, he amused & shocked them, quickly realising the importance of enchanting women like the #DuchessofWestminster & #styleleader & #actress #lillielangtry who ensured his star rose rapidly ⚜️ Wilde’s easy #charm jaunty dress-sense combined with his iconoclastic #Irishwit made him an instant hit in the #Salons of #London (at Home House) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3crNKPgiNB/?igshid=ygsop4dddwse

Another book to add to my ever expanding library. This one is about the 2nd Duke of Westminster quite an interesting character I am led to believe, an outspoken pulls no punches aristocrat who at one time was on the the richest men on the world. What is your favourite aristocratic book?? ⬇️⬇️⬇️ #dukeofwestminster #duke #dukedom #grosvenor #noble #noblitiy #gnetry #landedgentry #aristocrat #aristocracy #aristocratic #book #worldofbooks #duchess #duchessofwestminster #nobleman #eccentric #gent #theeccentricgent #biography #read #reading #london #statelyhome #influencer (at Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire) https://www.instagram.com/p/BvFGvpAAFl0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1jnw4koyvoyfc

From time immemorial, in his fairy tales, Walt Disney highly recommended that any girl “hang out” more in the Forest to meet her own lucky Prince!... I don’t know whether then Natalya Phillips (the future Mrs. Gerald Grosvenor) believed in any fairy tales or "meaning of true Love" or not, but she definitely believed in "right words" of her wise grandmother... Her grandmother (Lady Anastasia Mikhailovna Wernher, Countess de Torby) really was very wise and very perspicacious, because she was the quickest one to figure out who exactly is the heir to the 5th Duke of Westminster and told Natalya (right before her being going to the ball) not to come back without inviting the future Duke of Westminster to her place for the lunch... 🌾🌞🦁 🌹🌾🌞🦁 ..in memory of Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, 6th Duke of Westminster, (22 December 1951 – 9 August 2016) https://www.instagram.com/p/C1JokG6rEUJ/

On this day in 1951, one of the most remarkable people was born - the father of Hugh Richard - Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor (6th Duke of Westminster) ... 🌌🌠🌟 It's funny, with time, Hugh Richard becomes like his father and I really like these small, but such significant positive transformations 😺😻👍🏻😻😻 To be honest, I would like Hugh Richard to be like his father in absolutely everything!... During the entire existence of this account, I have heard from you all (followers and "secret guests") so many good and warm words about Hugh Richard's father (As I understood, Gerald Grosvenor really was the man with a capital "M")... and I sincerely hope that one day I will hear similar words about Hugh Richard... 🌾🌞🦁 https://www.instagram.com/p/Cmeo82Hrr_y/

Once Frank A. Clark said: "A father is a man who expects his son to be as good a man as he meant to be."... ... And Terri Guillemets added: "Every son quotes his father, in words and in deeds." 🌾🌞🦁 https://www.instagram.com/p/Cl6ShASM9ti/

I was so surprised and delighted by this article and the nobility of this project, aimed at researching the entire aquatic ecosystem and eliminating the problems associated with a small salmon population and normalizing the entire water balance!
I hope that scientists will really find the true problems and ways to solve its, and will not response after mastering of the funds for researching with phrases like: "Well, what do you want!?! It was a Corona virus, a pandemic. All people had free time... They just caught almost all the fish..."
... I'm really worried about this research, because the health of the aquatic ecosystem is one of the key factors that can show us the overall health of the natural environment. Water quality affects not only fish and plants, but also animals and people. I hope that the results of this research will have a huge impact on people around the world and maybe people will start to care a little bit more about the nature around us, at least because the health of the surrounding ecosystem directly affects us and our health! 😊💜🌾🌞🦁

PS. I really can't find the title of this painting at the background or the artist anywhere ... Seems like it's closely enough to Flemish school of painting or just italian school of painting ... idk... if someone knows the title of this beautiful painting or the artist, i'll be glad to hear it here or via dms 😊🎨🖼

🌾🙌🏻 The beauty of Eaton Hall 🙌🏻🌾😻😻😻 Historical Buildings On The Eaton Estate 🌞🌾🦁 --> 🙌🏻 Grosvenor Park Lodge (originally the park keeper’s lodge) 🙌🏻 was originally the park keeper’s lodge and is now the city council’s parks & gardens office. It was designed by local architect John Douglas. The lodge, together with some of the other structures in the park, are among his first recorded commissions by the Grosvenor family, and the first known example of his use of black-and-white architecture. The lodge is in two storeys, the lower storey being built in red sandstone and the upper storey being timber-framed with plaster panels. The roofs are of red-brown tiles. On the upper storey are eight carvings which represent William the Conqueror and the seven Norman Earls of Chester. The lodge has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II listed building.
