I wish more people would know about Dans une galaxie près de chez vous (In a Galaxy Near You). It's just one of the funniest shows ever. If it was subtitled in English it would gain a cult following in other parts of the world. I'm pretty sure it's only well-known in Québec.

My favourite things about my favourite sci-fi tv series as a teen growing up is that they made Canada a super power country in the future and all the crew, aliens and everyone speaks French which means

1. USA felt down

2. English is no longer the language most used.

3. Canada were probably the only ones to survive or the one of the few to survive.

4. The UK probably got flooded into the ocean, forced to move to France and speaks French.

5. Australia is probably gone as well.

6. We managed to make the aliens speak Quebecois french.

7. Idk what TF happened to the English Canadians but lol Good job.

Something that bothers me in Dugpdcv. There are many plot holes and one of them that makes no fucking sense to me is how TF Petrolia at the end of season 4 fell in love with Bob when she spent the rest of the show telling him she's not interested in him. No explanation. It fucking happened.

That's just male fantasy and ignoring the woman's desire.

Brad Spitfire is probably my favorite character from any Quebec show :D Second-in-command of the spaceship Romano-Fafard, he’s the scheming, cowardly jerk whom everyone hates with a fiery passion. As a kid he dreamed of becoming a ballet dancer, only to have his ambitions crushed by his dad, who wanted him to be a scientist.

he’s awful, but i live for the rare scenes when he’s genuinely happy because it’s so pure?? look at his cute face, i love him

The fan event “Dans une convention près de chez vous” is next week! So I started to prepare the special vests I wanted to release for the event. I made Capitaine Patenaude and Brad Spitfire! The show is 20 years old and was very local, but it was well loved by my generation. I hope the event will be fun! :D
