If I had a nickel for every hilarious, campy, self-satirical movie whose fifth act twist relied on a main male hyper-macho character's deadly allergy to pineapple,

Watching Glass Onion on a second or third watch through is fun, and looking and seeing all the small glimpses that you might miss if you aren’t looking for it.
Like after Miles steals Duke’s gun you can see it very briefly behind his back and for a split second putting it in the ice bucket.
You can see him hand Duke the drink behind Birdie spinning.
You can see for a moment as he jumps on the couch to run away from the others the phone in his back pocket, (which you might remember hearing that he doesn’t own one.)
When it’s showing them opening the boxes, Helen has her hair wrapped up because she hasn’t styled it as Andy yet because she just arrived at her place and hasn’t talked to Blanc about posing as her.
You can hear Duke ask if the shot is Pineapple, because “he doesn’t dance with pineapple “ and that’s how he’s poisoned later.

Duke: Whiskey, I screwed up. Big time.
Whiskey: Duke, given your daily life experiences, you're gonna have to be more specific.

when duke said “disruptors assemble” whilst on the port it lowkey reminded me of the famous marvel phrase “avengers assemble” - did anyone else think bautista had that line due to his role in marvel?

I think my favorite thing about the Glass Onion is that when I rewatch the movie I can find all of the things I overlooked the fist time.
Like when Helen tossed the tape recorder into Birdies bag, if you look close enough you can see the bag shake as if something got tossed into it.
And when Helen gets the box/invitation she has her hair in a towel so you can’t see the different hairstyles.
Or when Miles takes the gun from Duke and puts it into the back of his pants, and then puts it on table the drinks are on.
The fact that they bothered to put those little details in the movie makes it so much better to me!

In Knives Out Blanc wanted to do the murder mystery investigation with Marta so bad, but she was certain she was guilty so she spent a good amount of the movie avoiding/hiding stuff from him
Meanwhile in Glass Onion Helen was fucking carrying the investigation, even while accidentally getting drunk, and even went to investigation lengths Blanc was hesitant to do

more substantive thing about Glass Onion and then i think this is all my thoughts: i really liked something i feel was clearly shown in the flashbacks but not outright stated, which was that andi knew damn well miles bron was a dumb huckster.
that's what she wanted him for. she needed that ability to throw himself into his latest shill with total commitment, because of his need to believe in his own hype. the 'reality distortion' of his hard sell.
she knew that to get what she wanted out of life, she needed to harness that confidence of a mediocre white man we all talk about.
that it would open doors that would stay unmoved in the face of all her brilliance, and polish, and perfected rich bitch voice.
there's a lot of these guys out there, and she picked a dumb one because she planned for him to be the front man to her mastermind. (apologies to paul mccartney lol i don't mean to impugn your intelligence.) a smarter man would have had his own plans, would be harder to use as a mouthpiece for her better ones. she would have needed to find an actual partner and not a tool, and she didn't trust like that.
duke wasn't actually wrong to say they were all playing the same shitty game and andi lost. i mean, he was morally wrong but he wasn't incorrect.
like blanc says, she thought that because she was better than bron, because she was the genius and he was the cheap con artist, he wasn't dangerous. and in the end that was where it all fell apart.

Can we just talk about how different the killers' plans were between the two movies
Ransom used a secret passage way only Harlan knows about to switch the medication to get Marta's inheritance nullified by the slayer rule. With the only evidence pointing to him being a few dog barks and a senile grandma.
If Marta didn't give Harlan the right medications by touch she wouldn't even KNOW that she killed someone, the toxicology report would notice a morphine overdose and she gets arrested for medical negligence.
Despite Marta actually giving Harlan the right medications and being witnessed the Fran, He manages to improvise his way into silencing Fran and framing Marta for her murder.
Literally the only reason why his plan didn't work was because he underestimated Marta's competency as a nurse.
Meanwhile Miles drove his SIGNATURE CAR on his way to kill Andi, Gave Duke his glass IN PLAIN SIGHT in front of everyone and lied about being the target despite the fact that toxicology reports will say that Duke had PINEAPPLE JUICE instead of poison. WHEN MILES ISN'T ALLERGIC TO PINEAPPLE JUICE.

I watched Glass Onion last night, and I thought Dave Bautista's character was an amalgam of Joe Rogan and Alex Jones (certainly the imaginary versions of themselves they picture in their own heads), but most opinions I could find online say he's closer to Andrew Tate. I had never heard of Tate until last night, but less than 24 hours later, he gets arrested by Romanian authorities. What are the odds?

Duke was SO happy when he found out Andi was dead and immediately deduced that Miles killed her. He was beaming. Not a shred of sadness about her death or anger at her killer. Only excited about what it meant for him.
....shithead.
