I’ve seen people joke and guess about who Hugh Grants character even Was in glass onion but REALLY I have to assume he was Blanc’s husband and he was only there bc during the writing process someone was like ‘wait, won’t it be a little out of character if the detective advocates for setting off a hydrogen bomb?’ and rj was like ‘oh shit right, we better quickly establish that he’s gay so everyone will just know and accept he loves drama’

I was thinking about Glass Onion, as one does, and the one thing that baffled me is why Andi received a box.

Miles killed her. There was no reason to send a box with a stupid puzzle. He knew she wouldn't be able to open it anyway.

My only explanation is that he ordered the box to be sent to Andi's address way early (maybe even before the trial) and he just didn't think about cancelling his order. If he had cancelled the order, Helen would have never gotten the invitation, so she would have never seeked out help to take revenge. And then his scheme would have never been revealed!

(except if Duke connected the dots but who knows)

But no! He had to be stupid and forget about it!

Loved Glass Onion so much, especially the outfits so had to draw one of them. I'm sure Tintin would be a Benoit Blanc stan if they existed in the same universe.

A thing I LOVE about Knives Out it's its clever foreshadowing and little references that the viewer will see again later but with a different meaning.

My favorite example would be the mug (the one that says "my house, my rules" or something like that). The first shot we see in the movie is the mug up close and later, when Marta is staring down from the balcony to the family, she's holding the mug and "coincidentally" her hands are covering some words, except for the "my house".

Call me biased. But for me, that is the pinnacle of cinema.

So I think everyone is overlooking a major thing about Miles Bron in their excellent takes about his perfect tragic puppet master with no original ideas villain character type is that Miles Bron does have a major talent. The reason why very smart Andi would pick him at all, because in my head cannon she saw his talent very clearly and appreciated it because she had ambition. She knew she wasn't getting far without a bard to hype her up to her rich bich actual smart ideas. So she needed someone who would be good at making his friends exceed

(he gets someone a show, gets someone elected just as a favor to his friends at first, before alpha)

He's excellent at low effort manipulating and networking in a way that makes people buy his magic beans long enough that he can make giant profits and pay his way to the next great idea until he's wealthy enough to pose as a genius.

It takes skill to be a petty, ass kissing egomaniac. He's a very stupid man. And yet he's not. In this one regard he's a genius.
