Skittermanders

Here’s our first LSFS Skittermander, Fwoof.

Fwoof Dwagin is very much a standard specimen for a skittermander. Where they stand out is the huge arsenal they carry with them. A consummate soldier who alternates missions with their partner Deepa, Fwoof is an experienced team member and a committed helper. However they feel about Fwoof’s overly friendly demeanor, allies appreciate a solid gun at their side.

Who Should Come First? You or your Dragon?

It might seem like an obvious answer to some: “EVERYTHING FOR THE DWAGIN! LONG LIVE DRAGON MASTER!!!!” But, I’d like to advocate for a way of thinking that might make you as a servant even more helpful than always putting them above yourself!

To say it in short; Sustain yourself to sustain those around you!!! Your well being is like a bucket, the water inside it being the state of good you’re in! Serving people means putting water from your bucket into theirs, but if you do this by pouring? You’re gonna be all out of water super fast!

I like this metaphor because it’s a really clever riddle, I actually might have to use it for a magic door at some point. “How to I give people water from my bucket without running empty myself?” Respectfully, OVERFLOW THAT HOE!!!! If you are all taken care of, if you have a full bucket and are continuing to keep it full, the overflow will go into the buckets of EVERYONE around you!!!

The power a person who is having a good day and is doing ok has to better the lives of people around them is TRULY immense, and it’s something I think works for everyone too! From the weakest kobold to the mightiest dragon, if you’re wishing you could help those around you but aren’t in a place where you healthily sustainably can? Help yourself!!! Once you’re all taken care of, you can help other people’s buckets start overflowing too!!! ✨🪣✨
