Dye-cember-2019 Challenge 6 - Brigitte

Brigitte from Overwatch as drawn by digiflohw I've never played the game, but damn if they don't make some really cool characters, and I really like Brigitte.  Among others, but she's definitely tops. :D

Dye-cember-2019 Challenge 15 - Super Buttercup

A grown up version of Buttercup from Powerpuff Girls, probably going by the moniker of Super Buttercup, as drawn by RossoWinch.  There's been a lot of folks who have done their own takes on the idea of portraying these characters further along in their careers, and this one really stood out as it didn't give her the more typical street tough clothing options that so many others have done. Plus, those lines are fantastic! :D

Was also given some suggestions on adjusting the colors by AxCuervo to make it look softer.  I think I managed it, but could certainly keep working to make that effect turn out better.

Dye-cember-2019 Challenge 26 - D.va

D.va from Overwatch.  Though I can't find who drew her originally.  Oddly enough, they didn't sign the image.  It's from Pixv though, so if I find the name or someone provides it, I'll happily add it.  

Anyway, it was a bit of a challenge, mostly because of the sponsorship logos on her right leg, but the end result I think is still pretty good (the logos are probably the weakest part though, admittedly).

Dye-cember-2019 Challenge 29 - Sabine Wren

Sabine Wren from Star Wars Rebels, as drawn by glebik / Galka and Rusian.  I wanted to challenge myself a bit, and Sabine's armor has a myriad amount of colors on it, plus these lines had a lot going on with them, so it was a good combination.  I think I managed to keep it true to the character. :D

Dye-cember-2019 Challenge 8 - Super Velma

Velma Dinkley from Scooby Doo as Super Velma, drawn by thek0n. This isn't the first time a version of Velma was portrayed as a super powered being in my gallery, but this was a different way to go about it.  Rather fun really, and a nice challenge.  Should it ever be inked up, I'd certainly like trying my hand on that.

Dye-cember-2019 Challenge 5 - Hulking Mara Jade

A rough sketch of an idea I had thrown at blackwalker80 of Star Wars's Mara Jade suddenly going through an amazing metamorphosis to become a physically powerful former Emperor's Hand.  I figured I'd challenge myself with applying some colors to it, see what I could do with it.  I think it turned out decently, but I may be biased. ;p

Dye-cember-2019 Challenge 24 - Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tano, as drawn by 14-bis.  I really wanted to see what the results would be if I applied colors to an image that was drawn in red pencil, as I don't recall ever working with that particular medium before, and so you really don't know what you'll get until you try it.  Plus I don't believe I've colored up one of their images before, so it was a double bonus.  

Though I feel the end result was rather...mixed.  That's ok though, the experiment was interesting to try out.

She-Hulk as drawn by allmaxstudio It wouldn't be Dye-cember without at least one Shulkie image, right? Pretty sure I've had one each year so far.  That's likely to continue too.  She needs some love. :D  And the lineart was fantastic.

Dye-cember-2019 Challenge Alt 5 - Rogue Croft

Rogue and Lara Croft, if they were merged into one, fighting against a dino (as Lara Croft was wont to do), as drawn by mrlacseul / M Cappy.  This came about from a suggestion to merge the two characters together, and this was the end result. I enjoy it. :D

Korra from the Legend of Korra during a workout, as drawn by Jon Mallari.  I like working on this artist's images, they've got some great lines.  The pose seems awkward, but I figure she's using a wind technique to leap up while running or something. Either way, I likes this.

An alternate universe version of Elsa from Frozen, now in an armored form, as drawn by dragonslayerjin. I enjoy alternate universe variations of characters, especially when it's done well. And this was done quite well. Took awhile to figure out what kind of color palette would be involved and in what way.  I think it turned out pretty good. :D

Dye-cember-2019 Challenge Alt 3 - Black Widow

The deadly Black Widow, as drawn by Edgar Sandoval.  They do some really great lines and finished art, and I wanted to see what I could do with one of them.  I honestly thought it was going to be more challenging than it turned out to be, but I'm not complaining.  Also, I had to leave the original background texture in place.  Anything else just made it look too busy, imo.

Alice from Alice in Wonderland as drawn by Kaloy Costa.  This was a unique take on the classic Alice, and I thought it'd be an interesting challenge.  I could have colored the tattoos, but they don't always use color inks for tatts, so I opted not to go that route.

A Jedi of a new generation, my original character Lana Charwood, as drawn by the excellent Amberly Berendson.  Always love her lines.  Though I admit that they keep tricking me when I attempt to color them.  But that's just part of the challenge. :D
