Update time! 👀 The background is finally starting to take shape! I’m still experimenting with perspective and structure—trying to keep that dynamic, “action movie” feel while making the environment look both realistic and a bit moody. The pose is still holding strong, but now that the setting’s filling in, the overall vibe hits even harder.

Still no outfit yet, but I’m really enjoying how it’s all coming together bit by bit. Feel free to toss in any clothing style ideas if something comes to mind!

Took a break from my usual semi-realistic rendering to explore a more stylized approach! 🖊️✨ I usually block out shapes with light and shadow, but this time I focused on linework to better understand form and dynamics.

I also almost never draw characters with this little clothing, so I’ll admit I felt kinda shy about it! 😅 But it was a fun anatomy practice, and I wanted to see how much I could push the dynamism of the shapes without my usual rendering approach.

Let me know what you think! Should I experiment more with this style (or should I cover her up next time? 😂)?

About the drawing

This drawing was based on an old sketch I've done in December 2023. It's one of many many sketches I've started and not finished. Sometimes it is really interesting to go through the sketch folders and finish them ^^. I should do it more often.

I also noticed that it's been a while since I drew my characters using the holo swords. But I guess it is due to the fact that Jade is never going easy on anyone who challenges her.
