If the evil queen hid the storybook of legends in her and little red riding hood's bedroom (aka briars and ashlynns) like 30 years ago, does that mean no one has really signed the story book of legends? so apple hasn't really signed and raven just ripped out a radom page of some random book? Is the headmaster aware?? Is all the magic, the mirrors, the keys, are they fake? 😭 Why do they have the own special key, and picture of when they're a queen/king/royal?

something about making Apple White, who biggest trauma is death and it drives her whole character, canonically die and never be acknowledged doesn’t sit right with me at ALL like we really need to start talking about how that would've messed up Apple's life and how it would make sense she just doesn’t really feel alive after that, her own perception about life and death is so warped since she was a child and to go through that just to be swept aside assassinated an interesting plot that had been explored in the books tbh

i will never shut up about the eah books. i remember in 2022 literally going insane while searching for them at amazon. they were super expensive and i didn’t know that i could just download them from a google drive link lol but it’s fine 😭 i remembered I was coming home from a stressful day at school and just saw the package in my bed waiting for me 😭 gosh when i tell you how excited and happy i was- i got the storybook of legends storybox (the first 3 shannon hale books) and the evil queen’s diary. i read the evil queen’s diary because im obsessed with her lmao and then read the storybook of legends after. when i tell you I finished the WHOLE series in less than three days- is an UNDERSTATEMENT 😭 well tbf i still haven’t read the once upon a time one yet.. but im looking for a chance to read it soon, i read raven’s diary, it was like in may 2023. all i have to say is, IM HERE FOR THE EVIL QUEEN AND RAVEN MOMENTS!! then i read shadow high and finished it in less than a week 😭😭 i took a lot of time (not rlly a lot but compared to how fast i read eah books this one took the longest) because during that time i had finals in june, then i had my middle school graduation all in the same week while studying + reading it. I honestly don’t know why i just didn’t wait for summer break.. i ordered the book and got too excited when it arrived I just dropped all my responsibilities and started reading it 😭

ALSO, i found Suzanne’s eah books in the most random place ever, not a bookstore, not a book fair, MY SCHOOL’S DAMN LIBRARY!!!!!!!

i told my principal if i could buy them and she said yes 😊 (took a lot of convincing and I wasn’t leaving that office until the books are in my bag)

so yeahhh here’s my long story time about the eah books 😭 I’m thinking of doing a book review soon!!

I'm reading all of the ever after high books I haven't already read and one thing about that is that I'm absolutely EATING UP the small interactions between Darling and Apple.

Apple is the only person to not look away from Darling when she flips her hair and makes time slow down because she's too curious while all the boys who literally harass Darling all the time because of how much they like her do?

Oh yes please!

Darling apologizes for stepping on Apple's dress and in response she just smiles, birds picking up her dress so it's not interrupting anymore?

The little remarks one makes about how the other looks or is so nice?

Well in MH, basketball is called casketball, and is played mostly the same way with the rules slightly bent.

In EAH basketball is played with literal baskets full of pastries and the students are chased by hungry wolves.

I can imagine that would take some getting used to.

Help I'm DYING to read the EAH books and I can't find them anywhere, they're not in any library around my area but even if they were buying them is not an option for me- I looked for a pdf but I wasn't lucky :(

Thinking about how trauma changes Apple's and Raven's lives forever but in different ways.

When Apple is young, she has a near death experience so she seeks comfort in becoming like her mother, in growing up to follow her destiny because she is certain that nothing bad is going to happen to her again as long as she lives like this, there won't be more surprises, there's only going to be goodness in her life.

When Raven is only 6, she sees with her own eyes what her mother wants her to become when she transforms her puppy into a bone rat and that marks her in such a way she promises to never grow up like her, she does her best to grow as distant to her mother, to evilness and that destiny because that's what took from her one of her first joys, the one her father gave her.

Even if they're on complete sides of this debate, they're mirrors.
