🌞🤎☕️ LA MAÑANA • EDDIE MUNSON
a/n: happy hispanic heritage month!! tqm mis amores. i woke up super homesick and sobbed into my pillow. i needed some comfort and immediately thought of this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
imagining waking up with eddie after a wedding or big party, you’re both hungover (this is so funny because i don’t even drink but just go with it), and you can smell breakfast being cooked by your abuelita. the sweet smell of coffee fills the house.
eddie turns around and nestles into your neck with his arm wrapped around you. “hmm, can stay here forever.”
the sound of his stomach grumbling says otherwise, so he sits up as you stay laying down. you admire the freckles on his back and wish you could connect them to form constellations.
“c’mon, i’m not missing your grandma’s breakfast.”
you protest a little until you’re being dragged from your legs by eddie. he grabs your hands and leans down to give you a good morning kiss.
in the kitchen, you see your parents sitting at the table with their plates full of delicious food: barbacoa, eggs, and beans. they both have bowls of menudo with cilantro and onion. in the middle of the table warm tortillas and a box of pan dulce (sweet bread) waits for you.
eddie immediately goes to help your abuelita. of course she favors him more than you, so she serves him first. eddie sticks his tongue out at you as you playing roll your eyes. while your plate is being served, eddie makes your coffee. it’s little things like this that warm your heart. he always remembers.
what you don’t know is that eddie silently thank the universe for blessing him a family.

Eddie Munson is 100% the type to consider Taco Bell as Mexican cuisine, which is why I’d have to change that and make him actual tacos that taste a thousand times better than anything Taco Bell has EVER offered.
Just have to hold a prayer circle in the hopes that he doesn’t have the Cilantro soap gene.

If I see one more post saying “Eddie wouldn’t call you princess” “Eddie wouldn’t like that” I stfg. SHUT THE FUCK UP. EDDIE IS A FICTIONAL CHARACTER WHO WAS MADE AS A TOTAL FUCKING SWEETHEART NOT A FULL ON STEREOTYPICAL METALHEAD.
AND EVEN THEN IF I WANT TO MAKE HIM CALL ME SUGAR BABY, SWEET HEART, CARAMEL HEART, I WILL FUCKING DO IT. 🤨

I think Eddie would really love to have a Hispanic partner.
I'm Spanish so I can only talk about the different folklore and culture we have in here, but I have a lot of Latinx friends and I love all I've learnt from them all through the years.
All the folklore and mythology from each country? He'd be SO into that. And it'd be great inspiration for his campaigns and it gives him a reason to let them talk as long as they want about it.
Meeting with a most of the family for any meal? He's dragging Wayne with him. It doesn't matter if it's arepas, tamales, mate, empanadas, croquetas, jamón, pà amb tomàquet, anticuchos, raspao, pupusas, ropa vieja, man is eating it up. Those two can cook but barely make the effort so the leftovers are something they are more than happy about. That's a personal hc but I think he'd really love tequeños.
Now, music he'd have a hard time with. Aside from the fact that he is a metalhead, he is lanky and probably seeing something like bachata probably takes him a whole year to moves those hips. Abuelitas love him regardless, he'd jam with them to Luis Miguel.
Idk I can think of many scenarios and all of them are great. I might be just indulging myself here, but oh well.

Omg Hihi I found your blog last night and I’m so thankful that you write Latina!reader <3
I have one request!! How about taking Eddie or Steve to a Latin party? Having them experience the whole Latino party scene MAKSKSK It can be modern day!
thank you so much !!! Hope you have an amazing day <3
hi hi hi baby!! i'm so glad you liked them! i looove the concept of steve and eddie going to a latin party hehe i think i got a bit carried away but yeah <3 btw, if we have any brazilians reading this, go follow me on my side account @nanciewheelers, where i post eddie/steve content in portuguese !!
Tumblr media
oh man, they'd be so out of place when they arrived. mainly because they were so nervous that they were the first to arrive, because they totally believed that the party would actually start at 8pm (little did they know that your guests would only arrive almost at 9) and so they distracted themselves by helping your mom settle the table and finish decorating – we're going for a kinda-fancy birthday party here, okay? and eddie would definitely steal some of the sweets and stuff them in his pocket. but i think that they only came because steve went up to eddie and said, "y/n invited me for this party... if you go, i'll go" because he was terrified of being there alone :( because he knows you're gonna be busy socializing with all the guests and won't be talking to him the whole time.
but anyways, your mom is just so happy that someone is actually helping her to finish setting the party (even though you practically made all of the decorations and food by yourself), and she makes sure to thank them all the time. "oh, you're just too sweet!", that's what she says when steve picks up a heavy dish from the kitchen and he just smiles gently at her, which only makes her swoon even more. and you just stand beside her with a how dare you? look in your face because you were there the whole time!! what about your thanks? anyways, when you walk out of the kitchen, you find eddie eating all of his stolen sweets by the food table, already looking at what he would eat next. for some weird reason i feel like he would love the rice? or maybe feijão...
ok, but when it comes to the party itself, i feel like they'd be looking like two lost puppies in the beginning, watching you hug and kiss your family members as they arrive in groups. you'd often look behind you, to one of the tables right on the corner, and see their sad faces like you just committed some type of crime before them. and as soon as you stop saying your hellos, you're walking to their table, bringing some of your cousins with you just to get them to socialize. if they speak english, that's awesome! but if they don't, then you'll be translating everything and mediating the conversation. i feel like at least one of your cousins would have something in common with the boys. like, one of them is a jock and loves basketball, so they'd discuss the nba games with steve, and the other might like heavy rock or metal and they spend the whole night talking about metallica with eddie.
but your mom would always be so worried because there's never enough food on their plate :( and you actually have to coerce steve and eddie to go to the food table, because they tell you over and over again that they won't because then they would have to pass by your dad and your tios. and to say that they're terrified of them is a lie because they are, actually, scared shitless. it doesn't help that every time you go by with the boys one of your uncles tells eddie to cut his hair (because we all have that one tio).
but i feel like they would have a really good time in the end, especially because your tias love them. absolutely in love with how helpful and sweet they are and keep asking you stuff like, "which one is your boyfriend?" and "how long have you been dating?". and when they found out that you were, in fact, not dating steve or eddie, they were outraged because how could you not?? all of their exasperation is forgotten when they put eddie to sing la barca on the karaoke though.
the next day at school, they're both wearing sunglasses to cover up the fact that they're sleeping in the middle of class because they're not used to partying 'til four in the morning <3

Au in which Eddie survived
Bachata Rosa
Eddie Munson x Hispanic! gn! Reader
Eddie couldn’t help but be mesmerized by the way your body moves to the rhythm of the music that is playing from your small radio. He could stare at you for hours just watching you, he’s positive that if he were to try it he’d end up making a fool out of himself. Although you wouldn’t tell him that, instead you’d praise him saying ‘good job babe, you’re getting better’ or ‘you’ll soon be better than me’.
He sat on a chair that was placed in front of your garage as you and your cousins practiced dancing for you aunt’s wedding. It wasn’t that you needed to practice dancing it was more of an excuse to hang out and get to know him better.
“Eddie, are you a good dancer?” Your cousin, Cassandra asked.
He was so fixated on you that he didn’t notice the music had stopped. “Do I, w-what?” He stuttered as specks of pink found their way on his face.
It was followed by a chorus of ‘ooh’s as some of your cousins elbowed each other. You stood near the cooler filled with ice and drinks with a blush splattered across your own cheeks. It wasn’t hard for anyone to understand why Eddie didn’t pay attention. You will be getting teased for it endlessly.
“I asked if you were a good dancer.” She said with a small laugh.
“Oh no I uh… I don’t dance.” He answered truthfully as he fidgeted with his fingers.
Gasps were heard which made him feel out of place. He loves music, that much is clear but it isn’t one to dance to. It’s not that he doesn’t want to learn, he just never got the chance.
“Y/n, i can’t believe you never taught your boyfriend to dance.” Your younger cousin exclaimed.
“The opportunity just never came up, I didn’t want to force it on him.” It was true, whenever your favorite song played through your Walkman all you could think about was dancing to it with Eddie. Yet you always kept those thoughts to yourself, Eddie isn’t one to do cliché things. Yet it doesn’t bother you, there isn’t anything about him that you would change. Not even when you had to ask him out to prom back in your senior year of high school. He was reluctant at first but gave in after a while, even then, he didn’t fully danced. Simply moved his arms to the rhythm and attempted to get his feet to follow yours.
Luckily, nobody added more to the conversation. Instead you talked about what outfit to wear for the wedding and when will you guys arrive. You were now sitting next to Eddie as he played with your hair you tried to pay attention to the conversation. But the more he played with your hair, the more sleepy you got. It was late afternoon and the sunset painted pretty colors on the sky. Signaling the end of the day and a reminder that everyone will leave to their own houses.
It was now nine and Eddie was the last person that had to leave. The two of you were now sitting on the small green couch that was placed in your living room. The rest of your family was either in their rooms or in the kitchen, allowing the two of you privacy to talk about anything and nothing at the same time.
A comfortable silence accompanied you both until Eddie spoke up. “You know you could uh, teach me some of those dance moves you were doing earlier.”
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion before answering, “Ed, we don’t have to if you don’t want to.”
“No I- I want to. Wouldn’t want you to not have a dancing partner during the wedding.” He replied with a toothy grin as he leaned towards you as he spoke.
“Well, the wedding is in two weeks. I could teach you the basics…if you want.” You said as you looked into his eyes that held so much joy.
“Alright, tomorrow me and you baby. We’ll get grooving.” He said as he stood up.
“Nobody says that anymore Ed.” You laughed as you also stood up.
“Sure they do. Ok tomorrow, after practice, I’ll come down and you could uh teach me… the basics.” He was now standing next to the doorway with his left hand holding the door knob.
“I’ll be waiting.” You said with a smile. He also gave you one as well while opening the door. He got out and turned to look back at you, neither one moved. Just wanting to spend as much time together as you could. Despite that, he leaned down to give your cheek a kiss.
“Goodnight sweetheart.”
“Goodnight Eddie.”
Practice was running longer than usual and it was all because of a certain curly headed who kept on getting distracted and wouldn’t hit the notes at the right time.
“Dude come on Eddie, this the third time that we have to start all over.” Gareth exclaimed as he hit his drumsticks together to show his annoyance. “If we keep this up I’ll be late for dinner, and you don’t want to see my mom angry.”
If it were any other day he wouldn’t want to mess with the master of dungeons. But today was a normal day and he didn’t have to worry about it.
“Sorry, guys sorry it’s just…ugh I’m so excited. I’m going over to y/n’s house and they’ll teach me some dance moves for their aunts weddings. I’ve never danced with anyone… I feel, ecstatic.”
After hearing his confession they all felt their scowls leave their face.
“Wait, I thought you said you danced with them back at prom…?” Jeff asked
“No… well I mean yeah. Sorta. It was more of me moving my arms…” he said as he moved them for emphasis. “…and I tried to move to the rhythm but most of the time I just stood by watching them have fun.” He couldn’t help but sigh, at the end of the party you told him it was fun yet he felt as if you were lying. It didn’t make sense how you could say you had fun with him if he didn’t dance with you, not the way you deserved at least.
“So are you just going to…keep them waiting?” The other band mate asked.
Shit, he didn’t think about it that way. What if you thought he forgot? Or that he chickened out? You knew by now about just short attentions spasm and you always were very understanding of it but what if now it’ll be different? What if you want to break-
“Go to them Eddie, we can practice another day.” Jeff spoke once more.
Without needing to hear anything else Eddie took off running to his van. He was in such a rush that he didn’t notice his guitar still attached to him. Carefully, he lifted it up and set in on the back of the van. It was his most prized possession and he didn’t want any scratches on it. He drove a little past the speed limit (he didn’t want to get in a car crash or for you to see him driving this fast and scold him for it). It wasn’t until he reached your neighborhood that he saw you open the garage that he let out a sigh of relief and slowed down the van.
“Sorry sweetheart, I would’ve came sooner but… practice ran longer than usual.” He jogged towards you to help you lift up the garage door.
“Don’t worry Eddie, I was helping my mom around the house. My brothers didn’t bother helping so we finished not so long ago.” You responded with a shrug of your shoulders as you set down the radio on the small table that was taking up space near the wall.
“You ready?” You asked as you stood next to him.
“Yeah, let’s do it.” He exclaimed with a fist in the air. Even if he attempted to sound confident, his body language told you otherwise. He kept on bouncing his leg and chewing on his lip.
“Eddie I don’t want you to feel like… I’m forcing this on you, if you don’t want-.” You started speaking as you went to stand in front of him and place a hand on his shoulder. Something that you often did when he was nervous.
“No, no no I want to. I really do… I-I want to learn more about your culture.” He spoke with sincerity as he clasped his hands on your face.
Smiling, you looked up at him as you placed your own hands on top of his. “Ok then, let’s do it.” You took a step back and turned on your radio, landing on Juan Luis Guerra’s new song, Bachata Rosa.
As the two of you spend the day dancing and laughing, Eddie felt as if he was falling for you all over again. He tried to focus but each time you looked at him with so much affection he just got lost in your eyes. Causing him to stumble or step on you.
Days passed by and there was one day left for the wedding. You were proud to admit that you were a pretty good dance teacher. It was hard at first, but Eddie no longer needed you to tell him what to do. He still makes jokes about how sexual the dance is and the way you move against him. You can still hear his voice “Jesus H. Christ babe, I’m trying to dance not…mate with you.” Hearing him say those words caused you to turn red and miss a couple of steps.
“Is Eddie ready for the wedding?” It was the first thing your mom had asked you as you woke up.
“Yeah, he got the steps down.” You said as you walked up to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
“How do you think your dad will react?” She asked as she handed you a plate for you to serve yourself some chilaquiles.
The question caught you off guard, that you didn’t think of. “He’ll probably get really mad.” You chuckled softly, “let’s hope he’s drunk when and if he decides to dance in front of everyone.”
The conversation changed shortly after but your mind kept on playing different scenarios in your head. Regarding your family’s reaction, especially your dad’s and brother’s.
It was now the day of the wedding, everything was perfect. Eddie was able to go to the church ceremony earlier that day. You could tell he felt a little out of place, it was his first time going to a proper one. But you stayed by his side and held his hand, it helped to calm him down although he could still feel your dad glaring holes on his head.
The venue was spacious, a clear sign that there will be a lot of guests. Your mom was the one who chose the table, claiming that she wanted one with the best centerpiece. One that either you or your siblings will be forced to take.
As family members came to the venue, you would all get up and greet them. Using this as an opportunity to introduce Eddie to them. Your younger cousins seem to love him, they thought his clothing was cool as well as his tattoos. Whatever worries Eddie had prior to this seemed to have vanished into thin air. The food was fantastic and the music was great as well.
The DJ played some songs in Spanish and English, allowing everyone the opportunity to dance. Eddie even got dragged by some of your aunts to dance with them, some danced English songs while others did merengue. It wasn’t until bachata started playing that all of the couples got up and walked over to the dance floor.
“May I have this dance?.” Eddie spoke as he held out his hand for you to take. He had a toothy grin on his face and you just knew he was excited to show everyone the dance moves you taught him weeks prior.
You took his hand and walked over to the dance floor. The two of you started to dance at arms length before gradually getting closer. As the two of you moved to the rhythm it felt as if the whole world had disappeared. The both of you attempted to not get too close, not wanting to make any family members uncomfortable. After giving you a few spins he pulled you once more closer to him to place a chaste kiss on your cheek.
“You’ll have to translate me the song later and…teach me a new dance.” He spoke softly against your ear.
“If you keep this up, you’ll be the future chambelán for Sara’s quinceañera.” You told him with a giggle.
“Lisa hasn’t thrown the bouquet yet but we already know who will be getting married next. Right Enrique?” Your aunt exclaimed happily to your dad.
“No, they’re never getting married.” He replied while chugging the rest of his beer.
“Ojalá se casen pronto, uno nunca sabe cuándo será mi ultimo día.” Your grandma spoke as she watched you on the dance floor.
“¡Mamá, no diga eso!” Your dad said but aside from his voice sounding mad, he pulled her to a side hug. As much as he pretended to hate the idea of you forming your own family. His heart swelled with joy as he saw how happy Eddie made you.

“You’re gonna do great y/n!” you took a breath at Steve's words. “I’m terrified, what if he knows the song’s about him!” you panicked and paced around behind the stage, waiting to be called up. “If anyone in our group can't figure out who this is about, I doubt he’s gonna know y/n.” you nodded at steve. Watching as the band finished answering the question they had been asked.
“You’re right, I'm just nervous!” you froze as the band before you walked next to you, they waited to hear you sing. “You guys did great!” you smiled at eddie, their leader and also your’s and max’s neighbor. “Uh thanks, good luck to you.” You thanked Eddie and got your mic from one of the event coordinators. “Next up, some of you folks might recognize her as your child’s babysitter, but tonight she’s a new star, ms. y/n y/l/n!” you smiled and walked up the steps and walked to the middle of the stage.
You could hear your family and friend’s cheering loudly from the crowd. You smiled and got ready. You took a deep breath as the backtrack played.
“Cada día es igual por mi pasillo”
Every day is the same down the corridor
Everyday had been the same since your family moved into the trailer park. You’d get off work and you’d have to walk home, “508, 509, 510,-“ You counted as you passed by but as soon as you had reached trailer 511 the door suddenly swung forward and you were greeted by both a whistle from your neighbor. “Y/n, baby, i’ve been waiting for you to go on a date with me like you promised!” you rolled your eyes at the drunk hick. “I could show you around the town. I know all the good spots, ever heard of skull rock?”
You scoffed as he looked at you up and down. You went to make your way past him. “You could take a shower! You stink worse than a pig! And I didn't promise you anything.” You scoffed at the man. “I could sneak you into the bar, I'll pay for any drinks you want.” you stared at the pleading man in front of you. “Listen, I told you a bunch of times! I don’t want to go on these stupid dates with a man who’s old enough to be my uncle!” You rejected the man for the millionth time. As you finished speaking, the trailer door behind you opened.
Out stepped a long haired guy around your age or a bit older. He wore a white and black baseball tee with a drawing of a demon? On the front, he wore a leather jacket with a denim vest that had band pins on it.
You could see a bandana poking out the back of his jeans. He looked between you and your neighbor, You were able to get a good look at his face as he walked closer to you both. He had deep brown eyes that you could look at for years. And perfect kissable lips. He was attractive, like VERY VERY attractive. You watched, stunned as he walked by you both and down the roads.
“Oh shit!” you thought to yourself and tore your gaze away from his face, he must’ve thought you were a creep for staring at him for so long. He walked right by you both and right down the road to the little picnic table area. You had stayed stunned for a few minutes before turning to the man in front of you with a flushed expression, you had felt red all over, dumbfounded. Before your neighbor said to you, you quickly ran into your family’s trailer.
Once inside, you leaned against the door. A happy, flustered grin on your face as you thought about your neighbor next door.
You felt your heartbeat racing, your chest felt tight and constricted.
You ran to the kitchen and grabbed water from the fridge, hoping it would help calm your heart rate down, but it hadn’t stopped the butterflies in your stomach, fluttering around in there. It might’ve sounded crazy but you were sure you had met the man of your dreams.
Ever since that day you made sure to take your time walking down the road from work, in hopes to see him again. You had gone as far as to faking your interest in the hick next door to you, in hopes of seeing him walk out of his trailer again.
You smiled, gaining a bit more confidence. You kept looking over to see The Corroded coffin members tapping their feet to the beat. You giggled and turned to the crowd and continued.
“El chico del apartamento 512. Él que hace a mi pobre corazón saltar”
The boy from apartment 512. The one who makes my poor heart beat fast.
You sighed as you walked toward Hawkins high doors. Dustin had told you earlier that day to meet him outside his locker. You groaned when he first told you at lunch, not wanting to be at school when you didn’t have to. As you opened up the door you heard someone yelling. “Wait! Hold the door please!” you turned and held open the school door for the person.
You felt your heartbeat go faster as you heard loud footsteps behind you, you turned to see the guy from next door, carrying boxes in. “Thanks!” He gave you a small smile behind the boxes. You had noticed he was wearing a metallica shirt today instead of his usual club shirt with his leather jacket and denim vest on top. ‘He’s the most beautiful man I've ever met!’ You thought to yourself as you looked into his deep brown eyes.
“It’s no problem!” you smiled back. “Do you need help with those?” you asked, eddie nodded at your question and let you grab the box on top. You both walked to his clubroom in silence. “You can just set that down with this one! Thanks for your help again.” he smiled at you. “No problem!” You smiled and walked away from him. Once you turned the corner you let out a sigh you had been holding, the butterflies were fluttering all around as you thought about your latest encounter with the guy next door.
“El chico del apartamento 512. Es él quien me hace tartamuda y más”
The boy from apartment 512. Who causes me to stutter and more.
You sighed as you watched another girl enter the store with her boyfriend to look for a movie to watch together. You went back to watching whatever robin had put on the store’s tv.
“How may I help you today?” you asked the customer, your heart rate going up at you looked up and saw the familiar face of the cute guy next door.
“I’d like to rent this!” he told you as he placed down nightmare on elm street. You smiled and nodded as you picked the vhs and walked to the computer on the side of the countertop “I um, need your uh, name..” you trailed off as you got ready to type it in. “It’s Eddie, Eddie munson!” you smiled wider as you typed his name into the system.
“Alright, you’re all set to go!” he smiled as you handed him the vhs back. “Thanks..y/n!” you felt the butterflies start fluttering as he said your name. He grabbed the vhs and walked out of the family video store. Keith had never witnessed you flustered. He sure wasn’t gonna let you live it down either. A huge part of you wanted to keep talking to Eddie but you had no clue about what.
You smiled as you swayed along to the beat of the song. You had noticed out of the corner of your eye, Eddie was leaning against a member of his band and watched you dance on the stage as you sang.
“Es a quien le hago cartas noche y día, Que no puedo entregar. El chico del apartamento 512”
It’s whom I write letters to, day and night. That I can not deliver. The guy from apartment 512.
You shrugged off the winter coat you had on as you entered your bedroom. You walked over to your desk and sighed at the pile of letters you had written about your love for Eddie, you wanted to deliver but never had the guts to do so. You sat down on your chair and pulled out more paper and got started writing another letter.
“What are these?” Max asked as she entered your small room, pointing to the pile of letters on your desk. “Those are nothing!” you jumped in front of the pile and laid on top of them. “Y/n.” you sighed at her. “Fine, there letters to a guy I happen to like..” you explained to her.
“Why are they still here then?” you avoided her gaze. “Because I've never actually given him any of them!” you quickly said. “THERE ABOUT EDDIE!” Max yelled as she stared at the unfolded letter you had on your desk. “MAX!” you quickly ripped the paper oof the desk and held it to your chest. “You like eddie? The freak next door eddie?” you nodded slowly at her question, slowly sinking to the floor. “Why don’t you give him a letter? I’m sure he’s not a ladies man like Steve or Billy was.” she asked, sitting next to you on the floor.
“I don’t know?! I’m scared of him rejecting me I guess..” you looked over at the girl. “So what if he rejects you!?” she looked at you with wide eyes. “If he does reject me, i have to see him next door, you know how embarrassing that would be going outdoors and seeing the weirdo girl who had a crush on you!” you ranted to her.
Max sighs at you. “You never know y/n, maybe he feels the same way. What would you do if another pretty girl came rolling up here to hit on Eddie and he agreed to date her? Would you live with your what ifs?” you thought about it for a minute before shooting up. “Max, your a genius!” you smiled and pulled out a notebook from under your bed. And got to writing.
“She’s pretty good!” Gareth told Eddie in his ear as they all watched you perform. Along with steve. “She’s great!” Eddie's eyes flickered towards steve and eyed him, he who he was suspecting the song was about.
“Pero hoy por fin me he decidido de confersarle todo mi amour”
But today I have finally decided to confess all my love.
You had mentally prepared yourself to talk to Eddie whenever you would see him again. Fate was unkind to you and it had been about a week since you promised to yourself next time you would see him you would confess your love.
You decided it was time to take your fate into your own palms and go up to his door. You let out a deep breath as you walked up the steps to his trailer, you took in a deep breath as you knocked onto the screen door. You felt your body gain goosebumps as you knocked.
“Una güera contesta la puerta, Y mi corazón se quiebra”
A blonde answers the door, and my heart breaks.
You prepared to say the whole letter you had written that day just to confess to him. You felt the butterflies in your stomach, drop as a strawberry blonde girl opened the door, you recognized the girl to be Chrissy Cunningham, the “queen of hawkins high” you sighed as she smiled at you.
“De veras que sentí mi corazón quebrandose, Cuando de repente ella preguntó...¿Buscabas a mi hermano?”
I really felt my heart breaking, when suddenly she asked…”Were you looking for my brother?
“Are you looking for eddie? He’s at the town’s festival, practicing for tonight! I work for the band, I'm their runner!” she told you, holding up a box of eddie’s extra guitar picks. You smiled at her. “Are you eddie’s girlfriend?” she made a face of disgust. “Oh god no, He’s like a brother to me!” she explained. “Are you going to the festival tonight?” she asked, as she walked out of the trailer and towards her car.
“Yeah, i’m gonna perform a song I wrote!” she smiled wider at your words. “You better get to the practice rehearsal! Need a ride?” you smiled back at her and shook your head.
“No, thank you though!” you smiled at the girl, butterflies in your stomach started fluttering again at the realization you still had a chance with the song you wrote.
“El chico del apartamento 512!”
The guy from apartment 512
You smiled widely and continued to sing. Off the stage you hadn’t noticed Steve's wide grin as he overheard Eddie's friend's conversation. “Isn’t she Eddie's neighbor too?” Eddie was entranced by you; he didn't pay attention to his friends talking.
Once the song was finished, everyone clapped for your performance. “Thank you!” You waved to Nancy and the others in the crowd. You smiled and walked off the stage, where you were greeted by a wide grinning steve. “What?” you asked him, taking the water bottle from his hands. “It’s about Eddie isn’t it?” your eyes widened as Steve nudged you. “Shut up! Maybe…” you smirked at him.
“Talk to him y/n!” he nudged you over to eddie, where you stumbled into him. “I’m so sorry! My friend just pushed me!” you apologized to eddie, who stared at you in awe. “Steve is your friend?” you nodded at his question. “Well that makes me feel dumb..” he muttered to himself. You tilted your head.
“I thought you and him were a thing and the song was about him. If you don’t mind me asking, who is it about then?” You sucked in a breath at his question. “The song is actually about you, eddie. I wrote the song about my feelings for you..” he stayed silent for a minute before looking at you shocked.
“It’s about me! You like me?!” he smiled at you, you smiled back and nodded. “Would you like to go on a date with me, sometime then?” you smiled wider at his question. “I’d love too, I live next door to you if you need my address to pick me up!” he smiled at your words.
You and Eddie spent most of the festival together, eating the unhealthy fried stuff and watching other people/bands perform. Overall you had a great night.
“Um, goodnight y/n.” Eddie told you as he walked you back to your trailer. “Night guy from trailer 512!” you both chuckled and went into your separate trailer’s excited for the upcoming date you both had planned at the festival.

Eddie: 7yrs (Y/n): 6yrs
You were riding your bike to the sound of "It's No Big Deal"
A 7 year old Eddie was sat on the top step of the trailer stairs, huffing somberly. His dad was inside talking to his uncle Wayne. He tried to block out the sound of their shouting but it was hard, especially when Wayne was furious that his brother was such a deadbeat that he couldn’t care less about his own son. He was on the verge of tears when he heard an unfamiliar shout.
“Momma! Momma look!” A little girl that seemed his age came from around the corner of the trailer across the way. She was riding a bike, a little wobbly but she was doing it. Glee clearly evident on her face.
“Momma!” As she shouted, the trailer door slammed open.
“(Y/n)! Stop all that shouting!” An angry looking lady stomped out.
“But Momma, look! I’m riding all by myself.”
Eddie watched as this lady, who was evidently your mother, rolled her eyes and returned into the confines of the trailer.
At the sound of the door slamming shut, you lost your balance and fell with a yelp. A small “Oof!” left your lips as a small bit of dust rose from the ground. Eddie’s eyes widened as a gasp left his lips but before he could even think about getting up to help you, you got up and brushed off your overalls. Chin wobbling as tears threatened to fall, huffing in frustration.
And you're trying to lift off the ground on those old two wheels
Noticing that you weren’t alone, you turned to the boy with buzzed hair. In turn, Eddie’s cheeks burned and he quickly looked away.
Taking a deep, steadying breath, you nodded in determination and walked over to him.
The sound of dirt and rocks crunching underneath your sneakers made Eddie’s heart race. He wanted to avoid any confrontation and run but he didn’t know the area and didn’t want to get lost.
“Are you new here?” Face hot and flushed, he turned to her and nodded. Noting how your face lit up.
“Really? Awesome!” You grinned. “There aren’t a lot of kids here.” You stuck your hand out. “I’m (Y/n). What’s your name?”
Hesitantly, he reached out and slotted his trembling hand against yours.
“I’m E-Eddie.”
“Do you want to be friends?”
“Y-yeah. Sure.”
Eddie: 13yrs (Y/n): 12yrs
It was the summer before school started back up and Wayne had just bought Eddie a guitar. He was through the roof and was ecstatic. He ran out of the trailer, heart racing, lips in a permanent smile. That was until he caught sight of you in the kitchen window. Frown pulling the ends of your lips down, eyebrows furrowed.
Nothing about the way that you were treated ever seemed especially alarming 'til now
“Why can’t you do the dishes like I asked, (Y/n)!” Your mom shouted.
“I was going to do them mom.”
“¡Pero te dije hace una hora, y todavía no lo haces!” (but I told you an hour ago and you still haven’t done them!)
“But-”
Eddie’s breath caught in his throat as your mother slapped you.
“¡Quiero que hagas las cosas en el momento que te lo digo! ¿Entendido?” (I want you to do what I tell you immediately when I tell you. Understood?)
You opened your mouth but struggled to speak with the lump in your throat, so you resorted to a nod. Eddie flinched when your mother raised her hand once more.
“¡Te pregunte algo! ¿Entiendes o no?” (I asked you a question! Do you understand?)
“Yes! Yes, mom. I’m sorry.”
“Okay, no grites cuando estoy tan cerca. ¡Hazlo, pero ya!” (Don’t yell when I’m right in front of you. Go do it, now!)
So you tie up your hair and you smile like it's no big deal
Once your mother was out of sight, your shoulders trembled as a few tears slipped down your cheeks. You only allowed yourself a few seconds to feel frustrated and hurt before you hastily wiped your tears, collecting all your hair and putting it in a quick ponytail.
Turning to the sink, you gripped the edge before taking a deep breath and looking out the window, eyes widening at the sight of Eddie. Shame and embarrassment knotting in your stomach but he’d never know it.
You can let it go
Confusion filled his entire being as you flashed him a picture perfect smile and sent him a brief wave before finally starting your task of washing the dishes.
He’d have to show off his new guitar another time.
Eddie: 13yrs (Y/n): 12yrs
“Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday, our dear (Y/n)! Happy birthday to you!” You grinned as Wayne and Eddie sang, slightly out of tune, as you sat in front of a lopsided birthday cake. Candles bright and enchanting.
You can throw a party full of everyone you know
“Come on! Come on! Make a wish!” Eddie shouted, an almost maniacal smile parting his lips.
Fondly shaking your head, you closed your eyes and took a deep breath before opening them and blowing out the candles.
“Atta girl.” Wayne smiled, ruffling the hair on your head. “Now open your present.” He handed you a pink sparkly gift bag.
“You got me a present?” Your eyes were wide with awe as you carefully took the bag. Placing it down on the counter, you carefully pulled out the tissue paper and peered inside, a gasp leaving your lips. You eagerly reached in, pulling the object out.
‘D&D PLAYER GUIDE AND HANDBOOK’ was printed on the cover in big red bold letters. You unabashedly grinned, pulling the second object from the gift bag. It was a small velvet pouch that clacked when you shook it. Tugging it open and pouring some of the contents in your hand, a pair of dice fell into your palm.
Next thing you knew, Eddie had a grip on your wrist and was pulling you off to his room
Chuckling, Wayne shook his head and started to pull the extinguished candles from their places on your cake, looking up when the sound of Eddie’s door opening had reached his ears. You rushed over to him and basically threw your body against his, arms wrapping around his middle.
“Thank you.” Your words were muffled but he heard them. Wrapping his arms around you, he cradled the back of your head with one of his hands. At the feeling of a dampness seeping against his shirt and your hands clutching the back of his flannel, he held you tighter.
And not invite your family, 'cause they never showed you love
He knew about what was happening at home.
It was hard not to when you had come over multiple times with a new bruise or injury. It was worse now that your mom was gone. Your dad was seemingly worse than she was. So, without a positive father figure in your life, Wayne immediately filled that role with ease.
He waited. He knew you needed this, so he was content with holding you until you were ready.
When you did let go, he smiled.
“Anytime, sweetheart.”
A few hours later, you and Eddie were still reading through your handbooks and making your own characters when someone started to pound against the trailer door.
You tensed when you heard a familiar, slurred voice join Wayne’s in the living.
“You’re not her father, Wayne! I can do whatever I damn well please!”
“Look man, you’re drunk. I ain’t sending her home with you!” Wayne rarely ever shouted.
“You don’t have to do shit, I’ll drag her home myself.”
“Don’t even think about it.”
“Get your damn hands off me!” Quickly getting up off the floor, you ran out into the living. You didn’t want to be the reason Wayne got wailed on by your dad.
“Dad, stop!”
“(Y/n), sweetheart, go back to the room with Eddie.” Wayne stood between you and your father.
“No, no it’s okay. It’s getting late, Mr.Munson. I don’t want to be a bother.”
“See man.” Your father smirked. “She wants to come home.” He pushed past Wayne and gripped your bicep.
“Ow, ow dad, stop! You’re hurting me!”
Eddie watched from the hallway as your father held a bruising grip on your arm and pulled you out the door.
Both he and Wayne flinched at the sound of your father shouting obscenities at you as he tossed you into the house.
You don't have to be sorry for leaving and growing up
Eddie: 18yrs (Y/n): 17yrs
“What the hell?” Eddie blanched at the sight of your bruised cheekbone and blistered lip. He hadn’t seen you since Friday.
You hopped into the passenger’s seat of his van and tugged on your seatbelt. Tossing your boot clad feet up onto the dashboard. “Are you okay?” He started driving.
“Hmm? Yeah, why?” You nonchalantly fiddled with your fingers.
Matilda, you talk of the pain like it's all alright
“Oh, I don’t know (Y/n)? Maybe because of the giant bruise on your face. I thought you said he had stopped?”
“Well, I got home late from my shift at Terry’s and my dad flipped. Accused me of whoring around and stuff.” You shrugged.
“What?” You asked at his stunned silence. “I should’ve said no when Mae asked me to cover for her.” Not wanting to deal with the questions, you quickly changed the subject. “D’you guys have band practice today?”
But I know that you feel like a piece of you's dead inside
Eddie knew what you were doing but went along with it anyway.
“Yeah, after school. Wanna come along?”
“Yeah, sure. I don’t have a shift today.”
Eddie turned to look at you and his heart dropped, you were staring blankly out the window. Going off to that place that you’ve been visiting a lot more frequently, as of late. A place deep in your head. He was terrified that, one day, you wouldn’t come back. He didn’t want to lose you.
Wordlessly, he reached over and grabbed your hand. The feeling of the rough pad of his thumb gently caressing your knuckles brought you back.
“You can always come to me, ya know? Or Wayne.” He added, not letting go of your hand. “That’s why we gave you a spare key.”
You slipped your fingers in between his and squeezed. “I know.” You muttered, voice thick with unshed tears. “Thank you.”
Not taking his eyes off the road, he brought your intertwined hands and kissed the back of yours.
You showed me a power that is strong enough to bring sun to the darkest days
“At some point, you have to realize that the prank isn’t worth the ass beating. Right?” You asked while gathering what you needed as Eddie sat glumly on your bathroom counter.
“Well where’s the fun in that?” He asked, watching you saturate a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol.
“Spread 'em, Munson.” You playfully pushed his legs apart and stood in between them. “This is gonna sting.” You leaned forward and gently dabbed at the split near his eyebrow, free hand bracing yourself on his chest.
Worried that you were gonna lose your balance, he carefully gripped your hips. The action makes your heart race speed up and as you continued to work, he kept them there.
Finally placing the butterfly bandage against his cut, you stepped back a bit to admire his features. The slope of his nose, his pretty eyelashes, his strong jawline, full pink lips-
Cheeks flushing with heat, you cleared your throat.
“I’m gonna have to start charging you some medical fees, Eds.”
Noticing your attempt to free yourself from his grip, he held on tighter.
“Nuh uh, you’re not done yet.”
Huffing a sigh, you held his face in your hands.
“Sana, sana, colita de rana. Si no sana hoy, sana mañana.” You recited gently before stretching your neck and placing a feather soft kiss against his bandaged injury.
The tenderness of the situation made his heart soar. His pretty eyes fluttered open to find yours already gazing at him. An unknown force tugging you two together until your noses brushed.
“Eds…” It was almost a whimper as you shut your eyes, leaning in. Eddie mimicked you. Lips barely an inch away.
“(Y/n)! Where the hell are you?!” You both jumped away from each other.
“Shit.” You muttered, ripping yourself away. Slamming the door shut and twisting the lock, you turned to him. “Go out the window. He can’t catch you in here.” You tugged him off the counter and pushed him over to the window. “Hurry!” You seethed.
It's none of my business, but it's just been on my mind
A fist slamming on the door made you both jump.
“Open the fucking door!”
Eddie made it out the window before turning back to you. “But I can’t leave you to-”
“It’ll be worse if he finds you here with me.” You slammed it shut, pulling down the window shade.
The sound of your father hitting you haunted his dreams.
You're just in time, make your tea and your toast
Later that night, like clockwork, your father started to spout some bullshit. Absolutely drunk off his ass and throwing things. Eddie popped in a movie and started boiling water.
As it bubbled, he removed it from the stove and poured it into a mug, tossing a bag of black tea in it.
The door to your trailer slammed shut and Eddie rushed over the door. It opened and there you were. Tears running down your cheeks.
He pulled you into his embrace and didn't let go. He held you as your sobs turned violent.
“You’re okay, I’ve got you. You’re safe.” He continued to comfort you, guiding you to the couch. Pulling away to grab the mug and rejoined you on the couch.
You don't have to go
You don't have to go home
The trailer door creaked open, Wayne huffing tiredly as he kicked off his boots. All stress melting away at the sight of the tops of two familiar heads.
Carefully approaching the couch, it was a sight to see.
The both of you were slouched against the couch, your head resting on Eddie’s shoulder, his arm hugging you into his side. Mouths open, drool slipping from the corner of Eddie’s mouth and quiet snores coming from yours.
Grabbing the throw blanket, he carefully placed it over the both of you. Leaning down and kissing the crowns of your heads.
You can let it go
You can throw a party full of everyone you know
You can start a family who will always show you love
You don't have to be sorry

You watch him mingle with the cheerleader, strawberry blonde hair bouncing off her shoulders as she tosses her head back with a laugh. Sure, he’s funny but never that funny.
Nevertheless, it makes your lips turn into a frown. Should you stare longer, today’s breakfast might try to escape in an unpleasant manner. So with a slightly harsh swing, you shut your locker and head out into the parking lot. Missing the way his eyes follow your frame before returning back to the other girl before him. Truthfully, he wanted to pull you back into a tight embrace, kiss you all over and make things right but there was no way to make those words from a week ago disappear. You had every right to be upset, hell he was too after arriving home.
“ I was thinking we could go to the drive in? Halloween is around the corner and they’re putting Alfred Hitchcock movies on!” You didn’t want to rent it out from Steve’s job, not when sitting next to Eddie in his van, munching down on snacks and making jokes about the other people around watching the movie was much more entertaining.
“I can’t.” Was his response, and just as your heart sank, he decided to add more weight. “ In fact, I can’t hang out with you anymore.”
At this point, he had stopped at a red light and it was taking forever to turn green. Which this street was always guilty of but Eddie felt like this time was on purpose. “ Despite seeing what he does to me, how he treats my friends and everyone else he doesn’t like, you still choose to talk to my brother. You wear his jacket at parties and his games. You do study dates and probably make out in private. You continue to tolerate someone who’s done nothing but make my life hell. I can’t continue to act like its fine. You even stood me up multiple times for my performances when you promised you’d go. But where do you decide to go instead?” Eddie pauses, feeling the rush of adrenaline coursing through his veins.
Sure, he’s implying something and yes it hurts saying these things but it does bug him. It seemed like it was getting to a point where the only way you’d ever understand is by pure honesty on his end. And he didn’t wanna spill at first but you need to get the message that he can’t be around anymore.
“ So, go ahead and cancel any plans or ideas for us to hang out.”
Now it was your turn to speak, a part of him hopes that you’ll fight back and realize that he is worth more than his preppy brother. Its quite selfish but Eddie has never been good at anything, not even coming up to second best.
You simply remain silent, grabbing your bag and opening the door. Not really caring that the light was now green and you could get hit. Feet hitting the ground, you slam the door shut and head towards the sidewalk. How you managed to keep your cool till you got home was a mystery. But you had ignored Eddie’s shouts to get back in and that he can still drive you home.
Since then, Eddie knew the bond had been severed. This is what he wanted to do anyways right?
He had hoped that in his speech, you’d find that Elijah was truly the antagonist and cut him off completely. Though if anything, its made your bond to his twin stronger. Just at lunch, he caught the pair of you sitting together at the popular table. You sporting a smile and laughing at something, wearing his jacket once again. Funny how life continues to work against him.
Doesn’t make things better when Chrissy is the one to tell him that Elijah was gonna plan to introduce her to his father. Eddie would claim that its their father but that old man never liked how Eddie resembled his mother growing up. Kicking him out and stating that he can’t come back.
Poor Wayne, he didn’t have to take in the 8 year old covered in bruises and a buzzed head sleeping on his doorstep. He could have kicked him to the curb too, just like his own brother. However, Wayne knew what it felt like being the black sheep of the family and made Eddie know he wasn’t alone.
It took Eddie five months to talk about what happened that night, and a whole year to accept that he was worthy of love. Doesn’t mean he didn’t struggle sometimes to this day, but tries hard not to.
And though his father hasn’t spoken to him in years, never called or said happy birthday, nor cared to be a good parent, he had cornered Eddie in the parking lot and said that Elijah was his only and favorite child. So whatever opportunities he had, whatever his most treasured son wanted, he would receive, and that included you.
“ Remember Edward, you are nothing. You ought to know better than to go after my son’s girl. You’ll only corrupt her with that satanic bullshit and antichrist mindset.” His meaty finger had pushed into Eddie’s chest, sending the younger male back a few inches. “ Stay the fuck away.”
And as much as Eddie wanted to stand up to his old man, he stayed quiet. Kept telling himself that he was worthy of your time and you’d never become Elijah’s girl. Maybe instead of you having to accept certain facts, its time he accepts these ones instead.
Chrissy squeezes his hand. “ Don’t get lost in those thoughts, it’ll only hurt more.” In the years she’s known the Munson twins, the realization as to why they despised each other came to light little by little. Chrissy would like nothing more than to go back in time and take them to Wayne’s together to grow up in a non toxic home.
“ You know what’s funny, Blondie? I’m the fucking oldest. I have the same exact face, I have the same DNA, same everything and somehow I’m entitled to being treated like shit. Old man thought my brother was perfect when he came out and just tossed me to my mother to handle. How do you choose a favorite seconds after one is born?” He can sense the tears pooling in the corners of his eyes but Eddie continues to hold them off.

Eddie Munson with a girlfriend who’s as sarcastic and bitchy like Jade West from victorious!!!! Takes no shit from anyone and super possessive of her boyfriend because helloooo, Eddie is fine as fuck and she knows it. They’re sex is always hot and heavy, considering he would say things like
Minors DO NOT INTERACT
“you were just jealous, weren’t you sweetheart?” Another stroke of his cock going into your cunt made you let out a groan. “You couldn’t help it, you got all mad and started acting like a bitch because you were jealous.”
“you were just jealous, weren’t you sweetheart?” Another stroke of his cock going into your cunt made you let out a groan. “You couldn’t help it, you got all mad and started acting like a bitch because you were jealous.”
At this point you scrunched up your eyebrows and pushed Eddie’s shoulders, making him lay back, and you threw your legs over his hips, sinking down on his cock making him bite his lip as his hands gripped your hips.
“Because that whore was all over you.” You growl, slamming your hips down, the drag of his cock making your thighs shake but your pace relentless. “And you weren’t doing anything to stop her. It’s like you forgot that you’re all mine.” Your one of your hands wrapped on Eddie’s throat as you leaned down, pressing a hard kiss to his lips. His hands coming up to cup your tits, his thumb running over your pierced nipple.
“Im all yours baby.”

Me thinking about Eddie’s very white Midwest raised ass loving a Latine person and being sooooo confused at some of the cultural norms like
“Babe, why do we wash the dishes in the sink before we put them in the dishwasher? It works fine-“
“Honey? Can you tell me why you’re touching HOT FOOD with your BARE HANDS?!”
“Uh… why did we reuse this container for sauce??”
“Babe I love you and I know you’re just trying to help, but putting Vicks on my feet and socks over it sounds like a textural nightmare…”
“…remind me again why the cookie tin needs to have sewing supplies in it?”
“Are you sure we need all these grocery bags? And why do we put them in another grocery bag, that seems a little… okay okay! I won’t question it.”
“Babe, are you sure we shouldn’t leave now? I thought the party was at 8? It’s like 10 pm!”
And more
lol

Okay sweet! Just wanted to match sure you did before I sent in my request so here it is : Eddie Munson x Latina!reader where it’s years after the events of season 4 and one day reader is listening to the radios and Selena’s new song “dreaming of you” starts playing when she picks up an old picture of her and Eddie at her quince and she has flashbacks of Eddie, her first love and her friends who are her second family.
Dreaming of you
Eddie Munson x latina! reader
Warnings: mention of death, angst with brief fluff and spoilers for ST vol. 2
Word count: 2,091
It has been nine years since Eddie passed away. Many think it was due to the earthquake that hit Hawkins and destroyed everything in their path. If only they knew the truth. The truth of what is hidden underneath Hawkins. The truth of his death. He wanted to be a hero and help destroy Vecna. All to get rewarded with more hate even after death. He didn’t deserve it, he didn’t need to show his worth either. Yet he did, because in the end he never stopped being Eddie.
That was what Dustin told Mr. Munson. It was true, you were there when it all happened. Eddie was against the idea of you being put at risk but he was your boyfriend and you didn’t want to leave him alone. As you replay the memories in your head, you could hear the scream that ripped from yours and Dustin’s throats.
You blamed yourself over it for the longest time. Even if Eddie tried to reassure you it wasn’t your fault. He said it before you had the chance to open your mouth. The two of you were dating for almost three years. You two met back in middle school and were inseparable since then, to say he knew you like the back of his hand was an understatement.
Dustin practically had to carry you out, you were in too much shock to act on your own. You were in that state of mind for months. Not being able to do the things you once could. It was as if you had died and the only thing left behind was your body. With no soul attached.
The gang all tried to help you in their own ways from; watching movies, painting, meeting new people, traveling and anything else that came to their mind. Aside from that, you were able to graduate high school and later on, college. You have your dream job but yet it’s not what you hoped for. Eddie always said the two of you would live together.
You did ended up moving from your parents house but they dragged you back, scared you could hurt yourself from the pain you suffer.
You tried to move on but it grew to be impossible as the days went by. Your family wasn’t of much help either, they also didn’t know the full story and didn’t give you their support. From the many years they’ve known Eddie and saw how he treated you. They wanted to believe in his innocence but it was seemed impossible when the allegations surfaced of his club being a cult. The death of Chrissy being caused by him. As your family was a strong believer of God, they quickly changed their mind. Not even when you had clear symptoms of depression did they try to see things from your point of view. They believed that by you going to church with them it will help. But nothing did, so you lied and made everyone believe that you’re doing better.
What they don’t know is that you sometimes go to your room and cry to yourself. Just like today, you were locked in your room. Sitting on your bed with the radio playing faintly in the background.
Laying on your bed sheet were albums filled with pictures of all your friends. There was a nearby stack of letters Eddie wrote to you, some even had lyrics of a song he was working on.
With a shaky hand you picked up the bright pink album and set it in front of you. With big bold letters it read “Mis XV”, your family had saved up money to give you a huge party. Half of your family had to travel by plane to get to Hawkins. The other half decided to get there by car which meant having family members sleeping all around the house.
Opening the album it showed some pictures of you getting ready to head to the church. You remember how stress and nervous you were, even if you didn’t want to admit it back then. You had a crush on Eddie and it was the first time he saw you dressed up.
As you flipped through the pages, you saw the pictures that were taking inside of the church. The color of your dress stood out, it was emerald green that complimented your skin color. Your hair was curled and you had a part updo, allowing the crown on your head to stand out.
Unfortunately, Eddie, couldn’t make it to the church. He had called you beforehand saying his dad got drunk and he wouldn’t have a ride until his uncle got out of work. Even though you were sad, you understood. The few times you met his dad, he didn’t leave a good impression. You just hoped he could make it before the dance.
As you kept on looking at the pictures you chuckled softly with tears in your eyes. Not once was there a picture of you being sad, making you wish you could travel back in time and spend more time with Eddie. Finally, you got to one of your favorite pictures. It showed you running up to Eddie to welcome him and his uncle.
Even though your back was facing the camera, you’re sure you had the same big smile on your face as Eddie’s. His hair was cut in a buzz cut and he wore a black button up shirt with grey pants that were slightly too big to be his. You believed he got them as hand-me-downs but you never asked.
Your second favorite picture is of him putting your crown on his head. His mouth was open due to him letting out a cheer. Both of his hands were raised near his face. You had a similar face to his, almost as if they both of you were fangirling over one another. It was small things like these that made you fall for him in the first place. His ability to do what he wanted without a care in the world. You didn’t know this but, he always did silly things to bring a smile to your face.
You couldn’t help but remember the time you dragged him to a school dance and how awkward the both of you were. You were supposed to confess your feelings to him then but you couldn’t bring yourself to do it.
You had forgotten just how close you used to be with the others. Going as far as knowing Chrissy and Robin since middle school. At that moment you wanted nothing more than run to Robin and make new memories with her. The thought of Vecna taking her from you left a sour taste in your mouth. You were afraid though, afraid of them leaving you aside after all the times they invited you somewhere and you would make excuses.
Memories started flooding in, from the time you accidentally told Robin you had a crush on Eddie. She tried to play Cupid but it never worked, if anything Eddie was starting to think Robin had a crush on you.
Or the time that a guy from your class had asked you out and when you told Eddie he was mad and jealous. You were sure smoke was going to come out of his ears. He didn’t talk to you for days and when you confronted him about it. He confessed his feelings to you and was about to leave when you pulled him by the sleeve of his shirt. Taking a deep breath, you also confessed your feelings, which caused the both of you to stand in front of each other with no clue as to what to do next.
It was then that Chrissy and Robin couldn’t take it anymore and yelled out ‘just ask her out already.’ Making the both of you turn red, but you’re sure that if they weren’t there. The two of you would’ve just stood there all day trying to figure out what to say.
“All right I know that special someone you’ve been dreaming about all night long is right next to you right now. The new one of Selena, it’s called ‘Dreaming of you’. Para todos mis hispanohablantes esta es la nueva canción de Selena llamada, ‘Estoy soñando contigo’.” The voice of the broadcaster caused you to jump slightly. You were so engrossed in your own thoughts that you had forgotten all about the world around you.
Late at night when all the world is sleeping
I stay up and think of you
It was as if those lyrics were made for you, that is all you’ve done since you lost Eddie.
And I wish on a star that somewhere you are
Thinking of me too
You weren’t sure if it was due to the stress from work or the fact that the song is voicing your exact thoughts, but you began to sweat.
You’ve had panic attacks countless of times before and you knew what the signs were. Next thing you knew you were shaking slightly and were losing your breath.
And there's nowhere in the world I'd rather be
Than here in my room dreaming about you and me
The person you always turned to when things got bad was Eddie, but now that he’s gone there’s no one who could help you. All you had left of him are memories and you desperately searched for them in your mind. Trying to remember what he did to help you.
You were starting to feel disoriented and nauseas which was making it hard for you to focus on your breathing. Until you heard a voice calling your name. With teary eyes you looked up and we’re able to distinguish those curls.
“Hey y/n it’s ok, follow my breathing ok?” The voice got closer to you and you couldn’t believe how real this felt. It was as if you died, that’s the only logical explanation you had to seeing Eddie once again.
I just wanna hold you close
But so far all I have are dreams of you
“Ed-Eddie?” Your voice was barely above a whisper
“Just do what I do. Ok pretty girl?” He spoke as he stood in front of you. An attempt to get you to follow his breathing.
I'll be dreaming of you tonight
'Til tomorrow I'll be holding you tight
“Inhale, good now exhale.” Eddie spoke as he caressed your cheek. Just like all those times he had helped you, from when you two were in middle school and high school.
As he stood in front of you, he looked the same as the day you lost him. The blood on his face was barely noticeable but his hair was styled the same. His clothes were dirty but you didn’t mind, as long as you could see him once more.
Corazón
I can't stop dreaming of you
Once your breathing got back to normal, the two of you stayed there for a while. Taking in each other’s presence and even though you know he won’t be here for long you just wish this was reality.
That he somehow survived and came searching for you. When he did eventually open his eyes, he inspecting you closely. Making sure that you were fine, once he noticed you were no longer having a panic attack he gave you a smile. Before reaching for your forehead and giving it a kiss.
You closed your eyes, not wanting to take this moment for granted. You put your hands on top of his and felt the rings that adorned his fingers.
Cómo te necesito
Mi amor, cómo te extraño
“I miss you.” Was the only thing you could say. There were countless of other things you wanted to share with him. You knew time was running short and soon he will disappear so you said what you’ve been thinking about all these years.
Til tomorrow dreaming endlessly
With you tonight
Endlessly endlessly dreaming
He stood up without saying anything, as the two of you stared into each other’s eyes. It was as if you were having a conversation. The most you could offer him was a weak smile. He took small steps back and waved before slowly fading away.
The radio was now playing a different song but you took no notice of that. Wiping your eyes and sniffling you stood up and walked over to the phone. You hoped it wasn’t too late to visit an old friend, or better yet, old friends.
