Janek vent about Eesti Laul 2017 Final

 So I decided to write my vent about the Eesti laul final.

Firstly the stream that didn’t work at the beginning were a huge minus. I had to start watching on my computer. i missed Juri and Liis but I watched these performances on youtube. I will vent only about the songs i will miss the intervals(Mans go away). i loved to see Poli there!

1.Liis Lemsalu - Keep Running

Probably my favorite song studio-wise. The performance could be a bit better though. I loved the glowing sticks and her outfit. The problem was that a song about running was very static. I didn’t understan the pink balls on the stage. Her vocals were really good.

2.Koit Toome & Laura - Verona

My vent about winner I will start with the red envelope situation.I thoguht for a second that Kerli won haha. To be honest i love this song. It may sound cheesy but when you hear it you can’t stop humming to it. The only minus of this was the staging. It reminded me of bad version of Goodbye to Yesterday. They need to improve it. Overall Estonia is now my 2nd in my ranking so I’m happy with result.

3. Whogaux & Karl-Kristjan feat. Maian - Have You Now

I really love this song. Their live vocals were very good! There were some worse things about this. 1st is Maian’s dress and shoes that didn’t match at all :/ The biggest minus of the performance was staging. It was very empty but at least they walked on the stage. They could have added dancers like they did in semi-final.

4.Lenna Kuurmaa - Slingshot

Ok this performance was such an experience. That’s lady and gentlemen is how you do stagings. The song isn’t the best thing ever but holy fuck that staging.Flying Lenna was the best experience I had in all nf’s.If the song was better it would be my favorite from all of the songs here.

5.Daniel Levi - All I Need

It’s FUNNY HOW THIS GOT TO THE FINAL AND NOT ANGEELIA. I’ve got a break when this come so I don’t know what to write about it. I don’t like it. His vocals were bad and I don’t like the staging that much.

6.Elina Born - In or Out

The spree of Stig’s last places are coming again. Personally I love the song and it didn’t deserve the last place but I had some issues with the performance. Firstly the big O. Why. I mean you are in o and out of the o but they could do it better. Add some dancers and make Elina dance too but not the O. Secondly the suit of Elina was? It seemed so uncomfortable. I still try to understand why Elina was last though...

7.Ivo Linna - Suur loterii

The staging of this song was really good. I loved the vocals too. But the song doesn’t speak to me that much.It was an average performance

8.Rasmus Randvee - This Love

Ok this performance was lit af. The camera angles, camera shakes, his vocals were so good. The only issue I had was the song reminded me of Play a bit? Overall it was my favorite last night.

9.Ariadne - Feel Me Now

This song is good. I love the studio version and her vocals were really great. But the staging... It was so static. It’s hard to make a staging to a song like this but they could add some dancers and the staging would be better.  Whogaux & Karl-Kristjan feat. Maian had similiar problem but they did a better job than Ariadne.

10.Kerli - Spirit Animal

Ahh the fan favorite. It grew on me a lot but the performance oh God. Her vocals were so of. Especially the last part. And staging now... It was so extra. There was a lot going on at the same time. You couldn’t be focused on one thing... It reminded me when my winner before MDGP was Sada until I saw the staging that was very extra that it made me like it lesser. People will talk she was robbed but 2nd place is a good place.

I don’t hate any of this songs. Liis was one of my favorites from the start and now it’s my favorite. The perfomance was nice even if it could be better.(Overall Liis Lemsalu can stab me I love her). This Love is a song i fell in love with a 1st listen and it grew on me after yesterdays perfomance. Ariadne, Elina were on my top always. Verona grew on me a lot. Same with Slingshot. Spirit Animal is nice. My bottom 3 is flexible. Suur loterii is chilly song. Have You Now is nice.It’s growing on me a lot! All I Need is nice but We Ride With Our Flow was better :/
