Ita Ever (1.04.1931 - 9.08.2023).

It has been announced that the legendary Estonian actress Ita Ever has passed. She was 92 years old.

Ita Ever was a staple both on screen and on the stage in Estonia until very recently. Her perhaps most memorable role for the younger generations has always been Metsamoor in Nukitsamees (1981).

I post this on twitter and it's going to have everyone fighting but here's a deep dive because why not. Take a look at Mercedesamg's new instagram feed.

Now the three pinned posts: AMG post with Lewis, Mercedesf1 and Mercedes-AMG Motorsport to the left. In the centre it's an AMG post with Mercedes-Benz and Gorden Wagener (Chief Design Officer for everything Mercedes). The right one is AMG's launch video with Mercedes-Benz, Mercedesf1 and Mercedes-AMG Motorsport. Nothing out of the ordinary just a Lewis post in there with a red car with an AMG logo on it 🤭. Posted 16, 21, 19 hours ago respectively (at the time of me writing this).

Second row: to your left is an AMG post with Mercedes-Benz, in the center is an AMG post with George and Mercedes AMG Motorsport. To your right is just an AMG post with that giant bottle they've been posting.

Third row: left is just an AMG post without collaborators, centre is a AMG Motorsport post with Mercedes-AMG and the right is another solo AMG post.

Now let's deep dive into the fun stuff. There has been speculation of Mercedes slowly moving Lewis away from brand stuff other than F1 promotions. Considering they launched this car in Monaco and it literally is more inspired by the F1 car design than the AMG-ONE I don't think they could avoid having him not there. They've also pinned a post with just him. But here's a thought. They did a Lewis post and a George post. However George's 'post' has him as the first pic but included in that carousel is a pic with Lewis and another one with Lewis and Michael Schiebe and Gorden Wagener. Without tagging anyone else in that post (Schiebe doesn't have social media by Wgener does), they've also collaborated with only George and their motorsport account on it. Lewis' posts on that AMG page where he's a collaborator, has also always had the Mercedesf1 page as a collaborator. Like even when they AMG uncovered posts it was collaborated with the F1 team.

Oh and once again Toto is nowhere to be seen at this launch. Now that's a point most definitely worth noting down than my spew above🤭. Both George and Lewis have been to AMG launches this year whether by themselves or together. Toto has only been to F1 related sponsor events and events where Lewis has been to alone. Any event George has been invited to you will see Toto nowhere in sight...oop.

- jeff as house (curmudgeon, main character. I think he had the potential to be as problematic esp pilot jeff yk)

- ian duncan as wilson (this is admittedly a huge wild card but he and jeff have such POTENTIAL! they knew each other already and everything! think about season one and imagine jeff and duncan developing a house and wilson dynamic. it's TOTALLY possible. does this pairing require a kind of AU on the part of the community characters? maybe! but shhhh because I'm ONTO something)

- annie as cuddy (type a, frequently exasperated - think of her famous scoff. at one point interested in hospital administration!) (alternatively, the dean as cuddy! because they are both their organization's respective admin! and the dean could NOT say no to jeff which would be funny) (ALTERNATIVELY alternatively, frankie as cuddy for obvious reasons of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

- abed as chase (he would totally lean into this role and maybe even do the accent and it would be funny! also he and jeff have had a good dynamic at times and idk I could see it. also abed as chase would play off of troy as cameron really well)

- troy as cameron (sweet and thoughtful and also hot. he has a heart of gold and is led by his emotions, contrast with the more logically driven chase! idk I feel like I am onto smth but I also can't explain it so)

- shirley as foreman (she definitely has it in her to be stern and disappointed and everything BUT ALSO. shirley and jeff are such obvious mirrors at times and community really squandered that but this pairing makes a lot of sense to me)

- elroy as taub (friendly but a little bit world-weary? a little bit begrudging but also happy to be part of a team? idkkkk)

- britta as thirteen (she would get offended by the objectification and that would be the joke. more seriously though, she's world-aware, she's hot, and has bisexual energy)

- magnitude as kutner (this is another wild card but hear me out. fun vibes but hidden depths. not on screen as much. idk this one is a reach but I SEE POTENTIAL and i think a version of kutner that just says "pop pop!" would be hilarious)

        ↳ “Risttuules” 2014 (In the Crosswind)

“Risttuules” is Estonian drama film about the mass deportation of Estonians to Siberia by Soviet Russia in June 1941 and is based on real-life diaries, pictures, letters and drawings from the period. The movie centres around the story of Erna and her family during the course of 12 years.

"How to survive hunger, cold, humiliation, losing friends and freedom, but still keep living on, when almost all hope is lost?"       

Throughout the movie, the emphasis is on time being frozen, from which the audiovisual solution (so-called tableau vivant) was born: the atmosphere of the time was recreated from the pictures, however, both actors and extras are frozen, so the “3-dimensional pictures” receive a substantive dimension from the actors dialogue, sound design and music. 

The actors in the movie were Laura Peterson (as Erna), Tarmo Song (as Heldur), Mirt Preegel (as Eliide), Ingrid Isotamm (as Hermiine) and Einar Hillep (as chairman of kolkhoz).

           ↳ “Nimed marmortahvlil” 2002 (Names in Marble)

“Nimed marmortahvlil” is an Estonian war drama about the Estonian War of Independence based on a novel of the same name. The events of the movie center around the coming-of-age story of the school boys who decided to fight for the independence of newly-created Republic of Estonia and the conflict between Estonian nationalism and communist ideology.  Will the payment for their bravery be love, fatherland, or will the only thing left behind by the boys be their names in the marble?

The movie premiered in Estonia on 1st of November 2002 and turned out to be extremely popular. All in all around 168 000 people went to see the movie - setting Estonian box office record for 14 years when it was beaten by “1944″.

Actors in the movie were Priit Võigemast (as Henn Ahas), Indrek Sammul (as Ants Ahas), Hele Kõre (as Marta), Alo Kõrve (as Käsper). Anti Reinthal (as Tääker), Ott Sepp (as Mugur), Karol Kuntsel (as Martinson), Ott Aardam (as Kohlapuu), Guido Kangur (as Karakull), Argo Aadli (as Konsap) and Peter Franzén (as Sulo Kallio.) Many of the young actors in this film solidified themselves in the hall of fame of Estonian actors thanks to this movie.

        ↳ “1944” 2015

1994 is an Estonian war film about the events in Estonia during the Second World War. Timeline of the movie is from the Battle of Tannenberg Line in July to November when the Red Army occupied all of Estonia. The events are shown through the eyes of Estonian soldiers who were forced to fight for either Red Army or Waffen SS and thus fight against their fellow countrymen.

With opening weekend admissions at 19,030, 1944 set a new opening weekend record for an Estonian film, beating the previous record set by Names in Marble in 2002. 1944's first week also broke records by achieving 44,879 admissions, the highest ever for an Estonian film that premiered in Estonia. In total, Movie gained over 115 000 viewers in 2015. 

Main characters in the movie were played by Kristjan Üksküla, Kaspar Velberg, Maiken Schmidt, Ain Mäeots, Peeter Tammearu, Kristjan Sarv and Ivo Uukkivi.

        ↳ “Lepatriinude jõulud” 2001 (Ladybirds' Christmas)

“Lepatriinude jõulud” is an Estonian animation. A shy ladybird Tim visits his good friends Mia when suddenly the world around them starts to shake. When they wake up, they are no longer in the woods they know, but in someone’s living room. While looking for the way back to the woods, they meet all sorts of strange bugs who live in the house and know nothing about their destination. Their luck turns when Santa comes to visit the humans and with him comes along an elf-bug, giving gifts to everybody. Noticing a lonely pair, elf-bug works his magic and Mia and Tim return to the woods. 

The animation picked up an award from a festival in Ukraine, Russia and China. The VHS release included the full “Kutsu-Juku seiklused” animation.

Actors voicing the characters were Lembit Ulfsak, Andero Ermel, Anu Lamp, Peeter Oja, Marko Matvere, Kaljo Kiisk, Elina Reinold, Jan Uuspõld, Margus Tabor, Garmen Tabor and Johanna Ulfsak.

November is a movie based on Andrus Kivirähk’s novel “Rehepapp ehk November”. It has been described as a fairytale for grown-ups where dark humor meets romance. It is set in a heathen village, where locals must fight with plague, old devil, and creatures called kratid. A young woman falls in love with a man, but the feeling is not mutual.

The movie includes many new but also old and already loved actors: Lea Rest (as Liina), Jörgen Liik (as Hansu), Arvo Kukumägi (as Liina’s father), Meelis Rämmeld, Katariina Unt and Taavi Eelmaa.
