Currently watching: I've started watching Stranger Things. I'm currently on episode 2. It's interesting. It's the kind of show my teen self would have liked very much. It happens in 80s and there's this sense of nostalgia about it. Especially the soundtrack. Have you ever felt nostalgic about a time you didn't live in? That's how it makes me feel.

On Areolas

There’s a certain way areolas are expected to look, especially for people with breasts. Small, pink, and flat, mostly. Circular too. If you scroll through the “body positive” tag, a large majority of people you see shirtless have areolas like that. I have seen a few posts for people with larger areolas, or brown ones, or non-circular ones, and I’m glad that they exist.But I’ve never seen a positivity post for people with puffy areolas. In my case, even before my breasts started growing, my areolas puffed up. I hoped for years that whenever my breasts stopped growing, my areolas would flatten out to look like “everyone else’s.” Spoiler alert: they didn’t. I still have puffy areolas, which make my breasts look triangle-shaped when I don’t have a bra on. And I am still extremely self conscious about it, and hate them at times. Even if I’m in pajamas in front of my roommate, I’ll refuse to take my bra off unless I’m certain no one will see me because I can’t stand how pointy they make my breasts look.

So here’s to us! There’s nothing wrong with puffy areolas and nipples. We exist!

On Courage

We all know what courage looks like in our TV and video games or even our books. It’s the badass cop with the gun, the green clad guy with the sword, the mother protecting her children.

Very few of us will have the chance to perform similar feats though, and when it comes down to it, is that courage or bravery? What’s even the difference?

For the rest of us, there is courage in the small things. In finally talking to that person you’ve had your eye on for weeks, in starting that new exercise, in trying new foods.

Sometimes, it’s hard to tell which choice is more courageous. Does it take more courage to say what you really feel, or to hold it in so you don’t hurt anyone? Is there even an answer?

As much as being courageous is valued, being meek is much easier. After all, it’s those with courage who take the most risks and therefore get hurt the most.

Either path has pros and cons no matter what the situation.

so i just finished episode 22 of worlds beyond number (bring them to me) and i just want to say

i know Things Happen though i’ve thankfully forgotten specifics. but. can i still say how much i fucking Love suvi as a character

i know you must get so many tags a day but genuinely thank you @quiddie for creating and bringing this character to life. you so rarely get to see and feel for the characters that know and grew up in and benefit from The System. you don’t get to look past the caracatures and see how it can benefit benefit the people you love. and godDamn am i not ever going to be a sucker for a character who is like. “i will burn down the world to save what i love. i can’t help that i love multiple things. why are you so scared that im doing what i said i would now that i have the power to?”

As a fellow Belgian owner I feel you lol. Most of Prince's equipment I've found used (with the exception of bits and bridles and other things you wouldn't want used), and the only custom thing I ordered was a UV fly mask with a snoot cover (because the barn wasn't applying his sunscreen on his snoot before letting him out) off of etsy. I didn't have any problems with that. I will say that etsy is actually a pretty good place to find draft stuff, especially actually pretty halters. I've also seen some renaissance fair tack in draft size that is oh so super tempting lol.

As far as other draft stuff, I have found a few good things on Amazon that fit Prince pretty well (I remember in a previous post you described Bugsy as a similar size to my dude, my Prince is 18hh). Tough1 and Weaver have quite a few draft size bits that fit my bean pretty well (I use an eggbutt snaffle), but I haven't checked for hackamores- I would say it's a good possibility one of the two make one. I can send you some links to things that fit my boy if you'd like! Otherwise I hope this ramble helped a little. Good luck!!
