Lemme rank all Sera Myus from 1993 to 2022

Okay so after I rediscovered these Myu-sorters by @sailorzakuro (thank you for that!) I wanted to make my own because my amazing brain still can’t decide a proper ranking for the musicals - So I searched and found this sorter, in which you can put your own things to sort. I put in all Sera Myus from 1993-2022 (and with Myus I mean actual musicals, no shows like Super Live or that Cafe thing) and now I can finally present you my ranking!

The first 5 places as well as the last 3 don’t surprise me but I swear idk what I have ongoing with Ai no Sanctuary, I just love it, okay? xD I was also surpsised by how high SKSDK is! Also, yes, Mugen Kaiteiban is before Mugen, I am #Team-Aiko-Asako-Tomoko even though I also love Team #Megumi-Nao-Yuhka! Place 10 to 15 are super close, sometimes it was hard to decide, lol. Can you believe, that we have over 30 musicals by now which we actually know and from which we can name all actors? Impressive.

Some thoughts on my favorite musicals

Okay so I wanted to post about these but wasn’t sure how to organize them so I’m just posting them all together.

Favorite Dark Kingdom Arc musical: Nogizaka46 Version Musical (Especially Team Moon)

Top 5 favorite soundtracks (in terms of how much I like the songs and how well I think they work/flow together)

Hands down, Kaguya Shima Densetsu (Kaiteiban) Natsuyasumi! Houseki Tankentai. I don’t know the word for this (is it leitmotif? maybe?), but the theme that plays throughout the musical in the overture, “5000nen Kaguya Shima”, “LINK”, and  “Minna Dareka ni Aisarete”, makes the whole soundtrack flow together beautifully and adds a lot of emotion, especially at the end. Plus, I feel like having some form of “Sailor War” is essential and Fumina sounds so nice singing it. :)

Sailor Stars/Sailor Stars (Kaiteiban)

Kessen / Transylvania no Mori - Shin Toujou! Chibi Moon wo Mamoru Senshi-tachi  (I hate putting this one in the middle because it’s my favorite musical, I just feel like  “We'll Be The Last Victory”  and  “Kaikou ~ Lilith to Astarte” don’t fit as well with the other songs)

Eien Densetsu (Kaiteiban) - The Final First Stage. This one also has a theme that plays throughout this musical (”Orleans no Sei Senshi”) and I think that really helps connect everything well, especially in  “Orleans no Sei Senshi ~ Uranus - Neptune no Uragiri”. I wish they hadn’t cut out “Oitsumerarete”, Anza’s performance of it was really moving. Adding several songs from earlier musicals was also a really nice touch.

I get why they would want to use some songs from Fumina’s Kaguya Shima Densetsu musicals in Marina’s but I feel like using the “5000nen Kaguya Shima”/”LINK”/ Minna Dareka ni Aisarete” theme along with the “Junketsu no Narcissism” overture and battle song feels kind of awkward. I still enjoy the musical a lot, but “Junketsu no Narcissism” is a cool song, they should’ve focused more on it!

Sera Myu Ranking - Sailor Moon (1993-2019)

OMG yes I’m finally doing a ranking thing! I have been wanting to do this FOREVER and I’m SO excited!! I decided to do a post instead of a video because I’m too lazy and the new Sera Myu is (hopefully) just behind the corner so I’m going to wait until then and then do a ranking video xD But let’s just get started!

Also, I’m not native English speaker so there might be some spelling or grammatical errors so keep that in mind. 

This is also just MY OPINION not anyone else’s.

 10. Marina Kuroki

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Marina! <3 She is definitely one of the best dancers and singers that Sera Myu has ever had but her acting skills weren't that good for me. She was just overacting too much for me.

 9. Kanae Yumemiya (FIRST IMPRESSIONS ONLY)

Since we haven't seen her acting as Usagi at all, only singing so it's hard to truly rate her. But what we have seen, she gave me major Fumina-vibes, which isn't a bad thing but she seemed kinda serious to me. She is really beautiful tho <3 (Maybe if we someday get the full recording of Super Live she might rise in this list!) 

 8. Fumina Hara

Okay, let me just say something. Fumina is the reason I fell in love with Sera Myu. This goes waaay back in but the very first time I saw Sera Myu (I was about 8 or something and it was probably Marina's musical or something) and I didn't like it AT ALL. But then a few years later I ran into Kaguya Shima Densetsu and fell in love with (Sera Myu and) Fumina because of how pretty she was! <3 <3 (That's why KSDK is still one of my favorite Sera Myu musical and why Fumina always has a special place in my heart) So she is imo the most beautiful Sailor Moon but to me she wasn't really Usagi as she seemed to struggle on bringing out the goofy crybaby we all love. But she was fantastic as Neo Queen Serenity! <3

 7. Tomomi Kasai (FIRST IMPRESSIONS ONLY)

Okay, I just want to say that Tomomi is this low only because I haven't seen the full performance of Super Live. But what we have seen, I feel like she is amazing. She already is very Usagi-like so I think she will slay us all. I also love her singing voice (which also fits Usagi <3) And on topof that she also loves Sailor Moon which just makes it all better AND OMG HER COVERS OF LA SOLDIER AND DENSETSU SEITAN 😍

 6. Hotaru Nomoto

OMG HOTARU MY PRECIOUS BABY 😍 Whenever I see her I just start smiling! You can clearly see that she enjoys being on stage and performing since she looks always so happy! She was able to bring Usagi out on her own way (which I loved) but I think she was more fit for StarS where Usagi is more serious. But she still was really amazing and I love her ❤️ (Also she gave Anza a run for her money with her scream in LMF xD)

 5. Satomi Okubo

OMG I really struggled on whom I like better, Hotaru or Satomi. But I think Satomi takes the cake. She was really bubbly and very Usagi-like which was amazing ❤️ You could clearly see how much effort was put into it. But sometimes she spoke so quickly that it sounded like she was just speaking gibberish xD Her singing voice wasn't very Usagi-like imo but I still enjoyed it! I think that I still liked her more as Sailor Cosmos (She SLAYED that role!!) (Also I cry every time I watch her graduation in UNV)

 4. Anza (Ooyama)

QUEEEN I LOVE HER ❤️ ❤️ Her singing was ON POINT (especially during the StarS musicals) But her acting wasn't that good in the first musicals imo. She acted so childish-y that she could have acted as Chibi-Usa (I know that hse has said somewhwere that she wasn't an actress that she was a singer) But it got better towards the end and she SLAYED at StarS and Eien Densetsu and she always manages to crack me during her speech in Eien Densetsu Kaiteiban (which is my FAVORITE musical!) Also gotta give her props for being able to perform with those 10 kg wings on her back xD

 3. Sayuri Inoue

OMG THIS GURL JUST SNATCHED MY WEAVE WHEN SHE STARTED PERFORMING. 

I haven't been following Nogizaka46 that much or anything (before NogiMyu) but what I have seen was that she seemed really shy so I was kinda worrying that she couldn't really do Usagi but OMG SHE DID SOOOO GOOOOD! Her acting, singing and dancing were all amazing! ❤️ (She also gave Anza a run for her money with her scream of terror)

 2. Mizuki Yamashita

OMG I LOVE HERRRR ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ SHE DID SO AMAZING LIKE SHE WAS USAGI! So yes I love her xD Her singing was kinda weak but it got better as the musical went on so it didn't bother me that much since her acting was ON POINT Also she gave Anza a run for her money with her scream AND speech during the curtain call omg it was AMAZING and SO HEART-WARMING I CRIED SO MUCH xD

 1. Miyuki Kanbe

Did anyone NOT see this coming? She IS Usagi! When she was on stage it was Usagi herself was there! I just love her so much ❤️ Her singing was somewhat nasal but imo it fit her so it didn't bother me at all. She was the perfect Usagi to me and I wish she would have stayed longer and perform in other arcs too! May her soul rest in peace ❤️
