Uriel has trouble admitting he can't help his cannibalism. He's got a good grip of it and can stay in control of himself for long periods of time, but it doesn't mean he's going to stop. He'd rather let people think he has a choice than that he has none. There's also the fear that he'll be treated as something like a feral ghoul if people knew, or that they'll try to cure him, because if he lets that happen he feels as if he's admitting and saying that his father is wrong.

Lex is one of my favorites here, I won’t lie.       meme || status: accepting       Don’t ever tell him that things are going to get better. Ever. If there’s one thing that he absolutely hates more than anything, it’s when someone tells him a blatant lie like that, or so he believes. He’s a realist with a hint of pessimism, too. He tries his hardest to think about the positives more so than the negatives, but with all the bad that’s happened in his life? He prefers thinking the way he does, even if it stirs up an argument. It’s better to either stay quiet when he’s in that train of thought, or agree. although choice A seems to be more appropriate.
