Arknights: A1 Operation Preparation Detachment Chapter 8 Translation Release!

I got done with this one a lot sooner than I expected. I thought that I would be burnt out by the end but it ended up being a nice break from all the other stuff going on in my life.

Sorry if there's a dip in quality, I didn't have anyone else look over it again this time, and since I'm not an artist I didn't bother redrawing most of the sound effects in the panels. Sorry if it looks bad this was the best to my abilities.

Anyways I really hope you enjoy this chapter and its up to snuff. The previous chapters are on mangadex, and chapter 7 is here

Ok real question

Is there an Arknights character that is like, COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN, but that you like a massive amount? Like a character we saw in a side event once and never again, but you wish people cared more about them

Hmm, that's a good question. I guess maybe Elba, if that counts. She's from the A1 Operations Preparation Detachment manga (manhua?) and cameos in A Light Spark in Darkness' last vignette albeit without a unique sprite.

Otherwise most of the characters I like aren't obscure enough to really be called forgotten. I remember liking Anita from Under Tides but it's been a while since I read that event. Domma from Mansfield Break gets discussed enough as an obscure character appearing in one event that I don't think she really is that obscure anymore. Sonny, Mary, and Mechanist were all interesting in Dorothy's Vision but probably not minor/obscure enough to fit the question. Really any of the Il Siracusano cast; realistically they're probably not super well known but I remember all of them and will beat the events of Il Siracusano into the head of anyone who doesn't remember why Rubio is an S tier character.

In terms of truly obscure stuff, Dijkstra appears only as mentions in a ton of places, connected to Closure, neo-Reunion, Cannot Goodenough, D.D.D., and more. I really want to know what their deal is. Doesn't have a sprite as far as I know

Ok, so the Fang And Company Arknights Comic is pretty great all around but I do love that immediately following this pretty cool page (in context)

Which is just a great image in general, but Beagle being like the only one who’s pretty explicitly blushing (Unless they do that thing where this is a haha sneaky way of signaling her Originum infection that we just learned about a page or two ago that just happened) is SUPER funny.

It’s a minor thing i guess, but the implication that beagle’s just into big ole dudes is so much funnier to me than it has any right to be.

This chapter is gonna take a longer, its 90 pages after all. So in the mean time I got some screen caps for you all to enjoy.

By the way, during the whole time Fang with Kroos is crying btw and 芬 is Fang if you wanted to know

Wow it's been a while since I posted about this. Sorry for the long wait, life stuff like getting sick happened to me and my Beta reader. We thank you for all your patience.

But WOW CH7 of the A1 manhua is now done! I am not an artist or comic creator, so my beta reader had to kinda sit me through making it look better, but since they've been really busy lately, I had to try to figure it out mostly by myself, so uh if something looks weird I'm sorry. CH8 starts when I have time

But the google drive link is below, I did not make a credit page so uhhh if any of you guys post this on other places I please ask of you to credit me or not I have no way of checking.

Been a bit since I posted huh, as an update I am about half way done typesetting it! Ill post again when I'm done but I would like to have one of my friends or someone to read through it first to make sure its atleast OK. So I thank you for your patience

I will have to go back to college this Friday so even if I'm almost done with CH7 , IDK when I'll get to ch8, knowing me though, ill probably work on it at night or during break like always.
