Loghain Mac Tir is one of the most controversial characters from the Dragon Age franchise. From farmer, to rebel and then the Hero of River Dane, a military genius, and finally a traitor Teyrn. I couldn't kill him during my playthroughs in Dragon Age: Origins (yes, after reading "The Stollen Throne"). Instead, turned him into a Grey Warden (and earned a whiner Alistair as bonus) since, in my opinion, would be a better way to redeem himself (I'm on the redeem team, people! Always 😀).

Loghain is far from being a black and white character and that's the reason he seems so fascinating to me.

A small silhouette kneeling amid countless villagers corpses from the Amaranthine alienage and those of deceased darkspawn caught Justice's attention, ignoring completely the call from the Warden Commander Valyris to return to the Chantry. Her Orlesian accent echoed through the city main gate, urging the party to regroup, but something about that little figure was instigating the spirit, or what seemed to be a will of Kristoff's memories, the Grey Warden’s corpse Justice had unwillingly possessed. He noticed a young elf collapsed on her knees, in shock, petrified eyes towards two lifeless bodies lying close to her. That scenario, despite the evident barbarism, was apparently shaped by little or no melee combat between the performers. "Are you hurt, kid?" Kristoff and Aura had no children, but Justice experienced a latent fatherly feeling from his vessel. Crouching next to the girl, he touched her small back with a gentle hand, but the contact caused her a jolt of surprise. "It’s alright, I intend no harm. What is your name?" The young elf stared emotionless at the spirit, and not a single word dared to leave her lips. Kristoff's decaying flesh did not seem more frightening than what she seemed to have witnessed there. Justice realized he shouldn't oblige her to speak at that moment, so he held her small hands with kindness, helping her to stand. The elf let herself be conducted by the warrior's gesture, but her small body was as stiff as a dead tree to be able to walk on her own. A second restless call from the Warden Commander had Justice decide to carry the young in his arms. Helplessly, the elf offered no resistance and, as surrendering to her fate, she let the weight of her head fall over the breastplate of the spirit's armor. “Let’s get out of here, child.”
