Stray Gods is such a David Gaider production.
Sad, depressed blond boy. (With hidden anger issues.)
Complaining Ice Queen (Complete with sad past (TM) and a sekrit wuvving side if you put up with her bullshit long enough.)
Roguish scoundrel who everyone agrees is untrustworthy, including themselves, is actually a good person - surprising even themselves when it happens.
Musclebound dude in a leather harness.
Every magical person in your inner circle is keeping major secrets and using you in some way. Because that's just what Gaider Mages do.

Stray Gods: the Roleplaying Musical
A musical indie game where you make choices in each musical number like you would in the dialogue trees of other games, written by David Gaider (lead writer if the first 3 Dragon Age games)
Now Releases on August 10th
You play as Grace, recently bequeathed with the power of song by the Last Muse who chose to pass you her gift before dying in your arms. Armed with the power of spectacular musical numbers, you have one week to prove your innocence in the Muse's death before a group of mythological beings known as the Chorus - take your life as punishment.
In Stray Gods, your choices matter. The route you choose to solve a specific problem, the trait you pick to elicit a response, the character you decide to approach for information will all influence how Grace navigates the world. Your choices will also impact Grace’s relationship with the four romance options in the game: Freddie, Pan, Persephone, and Apollo. Befriend them, antagonise them, or woo them. The decision is entirely yours.
Voiced by Laura Bailey, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, Troy Baker, Janina Gavankar, Khary Payton, Abubakar Salim, Felicia Day, Rahul Kohli, Allegra Clark, Merle Dandridge, Erika Ishii, Ashley Johnson, Lauren 'Lolo' Spencer, Anjali Bhimani, Kimberly Brooks, and Anthony Rapp.

I’m currently reading the Dragon Age books (I know, I know…very late to the party haha). I haven’t read a lot of them yet, only finished The Stolen Throne the other day and started the Calling a few days ago.
And eventhough I really don’t regret reading them, especially since they really add to your perspective and knowledge and can be quite entertaining when it comes to the dialogue…please tell me they get better over time?
Any opinions here on the books? Did you enjoy reading them? Do you have a favorite? (No hardcore spoilers though please!)

Gaider still wants kill Varric and I dont approve this.

You want "evolved over production"? *cracks knuckles* Lemme tell you how we cut Corypheus attacking Skyhold. Now *that's* evolution.
This was one of the tougher cuts in Inquisition: Corypheus attacking Skyhold, originally meant to happen late in the game (prior to the Temple of Mythal beat, if I remember right). I don't think its absence was noticed that much (?), but it was difficult to swallow at the time.
Why was it cut? Resources, mainly. Skyhold was already proving super-complex, with all its upgrades and the characters who could be in multiple places at any given time. Testing it alone would be a nightmare. So we couldn't have that AND also the attack. Thus a decision was made.
It was the right call, made early enough that no *real* work had been done on the attack yet... and thus we were able to shift things around in the late story to accommodate. It did mean all those Skyhold upgrades became cosmetic, though, and that's not how they were intended.
The biggest impact, to me, was that the threat of Corypheus after Haven was never truly realized. An attack on Skyhold would have upped the ante, maybe I could have killed someone finally... but, instead, Corypheus remained a remote villain you chased but were rarely chased by.
I think people see the story as something the narrative designers delivered at some point and that the team implented... but you have to constantly compromise throughout development. That's our main job. You only hope you do it well enough that the holes aren't too noticeable.
By the way: if you're wondering who I would have killed in Skyhold, given the chance, the answer is obviously Varric. That dwarf was meant to die in the (canceled) DA2 expansion and escaped his fate despite having been in my crosshairs ever since.

Everyone is agreeing with David Gaider, but I know deep down in my heart nobody will look inward about what he's saying. The most popular love interests in the Dragon Age fandom are generally male and generally share a lot of bad habits with women romantic interests, and while the tall guy with blonde hair can be forgiven for his transgressions because of his trauma or his drive to right the wrongs of Thedas, the women that mirror them are frustrating or annoying to a lot of those same people. It's... very frustrating to see the casual Morrigan hate simply because she's the only mage betrayal character that isn't male, or Vivienne lambasted for her own (often trauma-induced) views while Cullen is considered to have this full redemption arc despite his views being the same, or Sera be treated as annoying and disrespectful despite having a lot in common with arguably the most popular character in the fandom in Varric.
So thank you David Gaider for pointing this out, but I also know even with how far and wide this is being spread, it'll fall on deaf ears.

I've finally gotten through reading The Stolen Throne and am several chapters into The Calling. (It takes me forever to finish books ever since video games took over as my form of escapism/dissociation.
Why the fuck does Gaider use the word belatedly so much?
