They both know the answer, and how they won't obey it,
The cold metal of the fence is cold and sharp, but she scales it anyway, dropping into his arms,
The walk the now deserted hallways of the mall,
Normally bustling with life, but the hour, so late its early, has rendered it lifeless, they are the only living things,
But they are living enough to make up for it,
Trying food from the court, one leaves a small wad of bills without counting,
They hold up clothes, and race each other through the empty halls
For them, morning feels as if it will never come
