So it turns out I only sort of have a senior for my night shifts at the VA, because the senior is for the admitting team and I’m just crosscover. So no one is physically with me. And while it’s good that I’m not admitting, I’m covering all the floor patients and the ICU patients. They sent me a list of reminders for medicine residents in the ICU, and I don’t even understand some of the bullet points. They reference software I’ve never heard of, and the sheet specifies we can’t ask nurses to pull it up for us. I’ve never used the EMR at the VA, and it turns out we’re not getting trained on it, and there won’t be anyone around to show me how to use it. I don’t even know how to page anyone or look up patients or place orders. Also it turns out sign out is super early, so my shifts are minimum 15 hours. I am seriously seriously freaking out.

everytime an artist I follow or a company I supported/used uses ai.. immediate unfollow. immediately never buying from you again. just don't fucking use it its not hard and don't tell me your version is somehow magically ethical or fine actually. keep seeing people defending their use of ai with the most outlandish or unfounded claims.
oh but I trained this ai programme using my own art - so you willingly fed that piece of shit your hand crafted art??? someone else can steal that now. it's no longer yours.
I only used this engine one time as a quick test - have you seen the climate ramifications of ai? if every person uses it 'just once' the effects will be massive
but its a new form of software, it's gonna be around forever I might as well use it and learn it - yes, researching a potential threat to your livelihood is so valid and you should research it to know what's going on. you don't have to use it though. the more demand created for these engines, the more they'll be allowed to seep into our everyday. you're showing the tech giants that you, a small artist, are willing to use their ai slop machine. they will take this and run with this
massive corporation using ai art in their ads?? - this has started cropping up in my real life (looking at you emr trains). you're a massive company. you have so much money. hire a fucking artist. and if you cant be bothered to research artists, pay the intern who does art on the side, host a competition with a proper prize and proper credit. artists are everywhere and so many of them could have their lives and careers changed forever by the doors this could open for them
this isn't an exhaustive list at all but come on, use artists, pay artists and respect their time and energy. and don't upload your art to shitty ai engines that'll just use your work in the slop it pumps out for the next guy. respect yourself as an artist and respect other artists.

What is the Purpose of the EMR System?
Tumblr media
In today’s fast-evolving healthcare landscape, delivering quality care requires more than clinical expertise — it demands reliable access to patient information. This is where Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems step in. Designed to digitize, store, and manage patient health information, the purpose of the EMR system is to streamline the healthcare workflow, improve accuracy, and enhance patient outcomes.
What is an EMR System?
At its core, an EMR system acts as a digital version of a patient’s paper chart. It allows healthcare providers to track medical history, diagnoses, treatment plans, immunization records, and lab results in one secure platform. Unlike paper-based documentation, EMRs offer real-time data access and can be easily updated, ensuring healthcare professionals make informed decisions at every stage of care.
Purpose of EMR System
The primary purpose of an EMR system is to enhance the quality of patient care by improving access to critical health information. It helps healthcare providers:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and complete patient records
Improve care coordination across departments or providers
Reduce medical errors through automated alerts
Support better diagnosis and treatment decisions
Streamline administrative tasks and reduce paperwork
By digitizing records and workflows, EMRs empower providers to focus more on patient engagement and less on manual documentation.
Key Functions and Capabilities
The electronic health record systems serve multiple purposes in clinical environments:
Centralized patient data storage
Real-time updates and record sharing
Alerts for medication interactions or allergies
Integration with labs and imaging centers
Support for e-prescriptions and digital referrals
Benefits of EHR Systems
One of the key benefits of EHR systems (Electronic Health Record systems, which often go hand-in-hand with EMRs) is enhanced efficiency. With automated scheduling, electronic prescriptions, and instant lab result sharing, providers save time and reduce administrative burdens. Moreover, EMRs help reduce medical errors by eliminating illegible handwriting, alerting clinicians to potential drug interactions, and maintaining up-to-date medication lists.
Security and Compliance
Electronic health record software also plays a pivotal role in data security and regulatory compliance. Most systems are HIPAA-compliant, ensuring patient confidentiality and controlled access to sensitive records. Furthermore, integrated reporting tools assist with billing, coding, and performance tracking, making the platform invaluable for both clinical and administrative teams.
Choosing the Best EMR Software
For practices looking to invest in the best EMR software, choosing a solution that combines reliability, usability, and robust features is crucial. Consider your specialty, practice size, and workflow needs when selecting an EMR platform.

Introduction: Why a Strong CNA Resume Matters
Whether you're a fresh graduate entering the healthcare field or a seasoned caregiver seeking new opportunities, your resume is your first impression. In a competitive industry like healthcare, especially for entry-level roles, having a professionally crafted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) resume can significantly boost your chances of landing interviews. This article presents five must-see CNA resume examples—including options for those with no experience—to help you stand out from the crowd.
From highlighting core competencies to formatting for applicant tracking systems (ATS), these CNA resume examples are built to impress hiring managers. Let’s dive into the formats that work—and why.
1. Classic Chronological Resume: The Experience-Focused Format
Best For: Experienced CNAs with a solid work history
The chronological format lists your work experience in reverse order, making it ideal for showing career growth.

Pro Tip: Quantify your achievements with metrics (e.g., “assisted 20+ patients daily”).
2. Functional Resume: Perfect for Entry-Level Applicants
Best For: CNA resume examples with no experience
This skills-based resume format focuses on strengths and transferable skills instead of work experience.
Highlights Include:

EMR Studio Features Requirements and Limits AWS
Tumblr media
Amazon EMR Studio features, specs, and limitations:
Amazon EMR Studio describes an IDE for data preparation and visualisation, departmental collaboration, and application debugging. When utilising EMR Studio, consider tool usage, cluster demands, known issues, feature constraints, service limits, and regional availability.
Features of Amazon EMR Studio
Service Catalogue lets administrators connect EMR Studio to cluster templates. This lets users create Amazon EC2 EMR clusters for workspaces. Administrators can grant or deny Studio users access to cluster templates.
The Amazon EMR service role is needed to define access permissions to Amazon S3 notebook files or AWS Secrets Manager secrets because session policies do not allow them.
Multiple EMR Studios can control access to EMR clusters in different VPCs.
Use the AWS CLI to configure Amazon EMR on EKS clusters. Connect these clusters to Workspaces via a controlled API in Studio to run notebook jobs.
Amazon EMR and EMR Studio use trusted identity propagation, which has extra considerations. IAM Identity Centre and trusted identity propagation are required for EMR Studio to connect to EMR clusters that use it.
To secure Amazon EMR off-console applications, application hosting domains list their apps in the Public Suffix List (PSL). Examples are emrappui-prod.us-east-1.amazonaws.com, emrnotebooks-prod.us-east-1.amazonaws.com, and emrstudio-prod.us-east-1.amazonaws.com. For sensitive cookies in the default domain name, a __Host- prefix can prevent CSRF and add security.
EMR Studio Workspaces and Persistent UI endpoints use FIPS 140-certified cryptographic modules for encryption-in-transit, making the service suitable for regulated workloads.
Amazon EMR Studio requirements and compatibility
EMR Studio supports Amazon EMR Software versions 5.32.0 and 6.2.0.
EMR clusters using IAM Identity Centre with trusted identity propagation must use it.
Before setting up a Studio, disable browser proxy control applications like FoxyProxy or SwitchyOmega. Active proxies can cause Studio creation network failures.
Amazon EMR Studio restrictions and issues
EMR Studio does not support Python magic commands %alias, %alias_magic, %automagic, %macro, %%js, and %%javascript. Changing KERNEL_USERNAME or proxy_user using %env or %set_env or %configure is not supported.
Amazon EMR on EKS clusters does not support SparkMagic commands in EMR Studio.
All multi-line Scala statements in notebook cells must end with a period except the last.
Amazon EMR kernels on EKS clusters may timeout and fail to start. Should this happen, restart the kernel and close and reopen the notebook file. The Restart kernel operation requires restarting the Workspace, and EMR on EKS clusters may not work.
If a workspace is not connected to a cluster, starting a notebook and choosing a kernel fails. Choose a kernel and attach the workspace to run code, but ignore this error.
With Amazon EMR 6.2.0 security, the Workspace interface may be blank. For security-configured EMRFS S3 authorisation or data encryption, choose a different supported version. Troubleshooting EMR on EC2 tasks may disable on-cluster Spark UI connectivity. Run %%info in a new cell to regenerate these links.
5.32.0, 5.33.0, 6.2.0, and 6.3.0 Amazon EMR primary nodes do not have idle kernels cleaned away by Jupyter Enterprise Gateway. This may drain resources and crash long-running clusters. A script in the sources configures idle kernel cleanup for certain versions.
If the auto-termination policy is enabled on Amazon EMR versions 5.32.0, 5.33.0, 6.2.0, or 6.3.0, a cluster with an active Python3 kernel may be designated as inactive and terminated since it does not submit a Spark task. Amazon EMR 6.4.0 or later is recommended for Python3 kernel auto-termination.
Displaying a Spark DataFrame using %%display may truncate wide tables. Create a scrollable view by right-clicking the output and selecting Create New View for Output.
If you interrupt a running cell in a Spark-based kernel (PySpark, Spark, SparkR), the Spark task stays running. The on-cluster Spark UI is needed to end the job.
EMR Studio Workspaces as the root user in an AWS account causes a 403: Forbidden error because Jupyter Enterprise Gateway settings disallow root user access. Instead of root, employ alternate authentication methods for normal activities.
EMR Studio does not support Amazon EMR features:
connecting to and running tasks on Kerberos-secured clusters.
multi-node clusters.
AWS Graviton2-based EC2 clusters for EMR 6.x releases below 6.9.0 and 5.x releases below 5.36.1.
A studio utilising trusted identity propagation cannot provide these features:
Building EMR clusters without templates using serverless applications.
Amazon EMR launches on EKS clusters.
Use a runtime role.
Supporting SQL Explorer or Workspace collaboration.
Limited Amazon EMR Studio Service
Service Restriction The sources list EMR Studio service limits:
EMR Studios:
Each AWS account can have 100 max.
Maximum five subnets per EMR Studio.
IAM Identity Centre Groups are limited to five per EMR Studio.
EMR Studios can have 100 IAM Identity Centre users.

What Are the Best Customizations for OpenEMR in Dentistry?
Discover OpenEMR customizations for dentistry to enhance patient management, streamline workflows, optimize billing, and elevate the quality of dental care.
Introduction
The open-source Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system OpenEMR features high customization capabilities that help dental practices create specific solution options. OpenEMR provides versatility through which dentists can modify the software to function for dental charting in addition to treatment planning and billing operations. The following section presents the most beneficial OpenEMR modifications for dentistry practice with clear direction on their deployment steps.
1. Dental Charting Customization
The dental charting function represents an essential element that makes any dental practice operate effectively. OpenEMR offers capabilities for users to build a custom dental charting feature within their platform.
Visual Dental Charting
· Design a graphic display that allows practitioners to record information about dental cavity states along with tooth fractures and lost teeth.
· Medical practitioners should use Layout-Based Forms (LBF) for building specialized forms to track dental treatments, including fillings, crowns, and extractions.
Procedure Tracking
· The billing module requires the addition of procedure codes that match the regular dental treatment services, including periodic oral evaluations (D0120).
· The patient’s medical record will contain direct access to current procedure statuses along with a record of finalized procedures.
Integration with Imaging Systems
· OpenEMR needs customization to enable synchronization between its system and digital X-ray technology and intraoral cameras.
· The patient file system contains a direct storage space for dental images, which staff members can access easily during consultations.
2. Custom Issue Types for Dental Practices
OpenEMR provides the “Issues” feature with options for customization, which allows users to establish categories that suit dental practice needs.
Create Dental-Specific Categories
· Through the List Editor, users can create additional issue categories such as “Cavities,” “Orthodontic Issues,” and “Periodontal Disease” for their practice.
· The patient records become more efficient through effective categorization processes.
Treatment Planning
· The issue type function of OpenEMR allows practitioners to add planned procedures such as root canals and orthodontics.
· The system enables both documentation and tracking functions for all planned medical operations.
3. Billing Customization for Dental Codes
A dental office utilizes different medical billing codes than those used in standard medical services. OpenEMR provides the functionality for adding support to work with these codes.
Add CDT Codes
· The CDT Current Dental Terminology contains importable codes targeted for the coding module. The codes play an essential role in generating precise claims submissions.
· The process to upload or manually add CDT codes takes place under Administration > Other > Billing Codes.
Streamline Insurance Claims
· OpenEMR should receive dental insurance claims processing capabilities that combine insured patient authorization review with patient benefit check functions.
· The practice should partner with clearinghouse firms specialized in dental claims administration services.
Custom Fee Sheets
· Develop fee sheets tailored for dental services within the Billing > Fee Sheet section.
· The fee sheet should include cleaning as well as x-rays and crowns alongside other regularly used procedures to enable smooth selection during patient meetings.
4. Customized Clinical Forms
The documentation of patient visits and clinical procedures requires clinical forms as a basic requirement. Through OpenEMR, dentists can build forms that match their individual working procedures.
Layout-Based Forms (LBF)
· Create dental-specific forms by using LBF tools for building periodontal charts as well as orthodontic evaluation forms.
· The software should contain tooth number fields together with gum health scoring areas and disease-specific measurement sections.
Templates for Common Procedures
· A dentist should develop standardized templates for procedures that they perform often, such as teeth cleaning and cavity procedures.
· The templates reduce time requirements through an automatic entry of standard information.
5. Appointment Scheduling Optimization
The proper organization of dental appointments stands as the key element for handling a high-volume dental practice. The scheduling module of OpenEMR can get adjustments to create features that support dental professionals’ distinctive requirements.
Color-Coded Appointments
· The software allows users to apply colored arrangement systems for their appointment categories, where cleanings get green and emergencies show as red.
· The visual appointment type identification becomes more straightforward because of the color-based system.
Recurring Appointments
· The system should schedule continuing treatments such as braces and periodontal maintenance appointments at regular intervals.
Automated Reminders
· Patients receive automatic email texts for appointment scheduling through an enabled notification system.
· The systematic scheduling method diminishes the number of patient cancellations, therefore improving the overall practical efficiency.
6. Integration with Digital Imaging Systems
Healthcare facilities utilizing dental imaging systems, including X-ray machines and intraoral cameras, commonly use them in their practices. OpenEMR offers capabilities that let its integration match perfectly with existing dental assets.
Image Storage and Retrieval
· OpenEMR allows you to save digital images into patient records through its configuration settings.
· The integration of imaging devices into OpenEMR can be achieved through partnerships with third-party plugins or APIs.
Annotation Tools
· Within OpenEMR, dental practitioners should have access to features that enable direct marking of X-rays and images inside the platform.
7. Patient Portal Customization
The patient portal serves as an exceptional platform to enhance healthcare communication between dentists and patients while handling administrative procedures smoothly.
Dental-Specific Features
· The portal requires customization to provide options that let patients request cleaning visits separately from orthodontic consultation appointments.
Treatment Plans and Estimates
· Patients should get access to their treatment plans and cost estimates by using the portal system.
Online Bill Payments
· The system should permit patients to make online payments through the portal to simplify their billing process.
8. Advanced Reporting and Analytics
OpenEMR supports the customization of reporting functionalities, which allows practitioners to track dental practice-relevant metrics.
Financial Reports
· The practice should create revenue reports that document earnings from cleaning procedures compared to crown operations so healthcare professionals can identify their most profitable services.
Patient Metrics
· Practice managers need to monitor patient retention rates along with the average time span between patient appointments.
Clinical Outcomes
· You must observe clinical outcomes that demonstrate better gum health scores across time periods.
FAQs
1. Can OpenEMR support CDT codes used in dentistry?
Yes! Users can access the billing module’s CDT code import functionality through Administration > Other > Billing Codes. The set of codes enables dental providers to create accurate claims for procedure billing.
2. How do I create custom forms for dental procedures?
You can create practice-specific forms under Administration > Layouts by using the Layout-Based Forms (LBF) tool.
3. Can OpenEMR integrate with digital X-ray systems?
Yes! OpenEMR enables integration with digital imaging systems through third-party plugins and APIs that enable in-patient record image storage and retrieval.
Conclusion
After receiving customized dentistry-specific changes, OpenEMR transforms into a complete dental practice application. OpenEMR provides improved efficiency for dental billing practices by integrating visualization dental charting with CDT codes, customized clinical forms, and enhanced reporting functions that enhance operations, patient care quality, and financial management.
Operations become more efficient and patient communication improves in the practice because of integrating patient portal capabilities with digital imaging systems. OpenEMR provides dental practices with an outstanding option as a flexible electronic medical record system that caters to their precise requirements.

Instantly Contact Assigned Nurses with BSA PRO | EMR Software | Hospital Software | HMS
In the fast-paced environment of ICU and critical care units, effective communication can mean the difference between life and death. Grapes Innovative Solutions is proud to introduce a ground-breaking feature in the Grapes Bed Side Assistant (BSA) PRO app, designed to revolutionize nurse-patient communication and ensure seamless coordination between medical professionals.
Tumblr media
The Communication Challenge in Critical Care
Patients in ICUs and high-dependency units require continuous monitoring and swift intervention. Typically, multiple nurses are assigned to a patient’s care, yet there is always a primary nurse who is well-versed in the patient’s medical history and current condition. However, due to shift changes or breaks, accessing the right nurse at the right moment can be challenging.
youtube
Traditionally, doctors and staff have had to rely on manual processes to locate and contact the assigned nurse, leading to:
Time-consuming searches for contact numbers
Potential miscommunication during shift transitions
Delays in crucial medical decisions
Introducing BSA PRO’s Direct Nurse Calling Feature
The BSA PRO app eliminates these inefficiencies with a smart, one-touch nurse calling system that streamlines hospital workflows and ensures immediate access to patient caregivers. This innovative feature allows doctors to call the assigned nurse directly from the patient’s profile without needing their phone number.
How It Works
Open the patient’s file in the BSA PRO app
Locate the nurse call icon below the menu button
Tap the icon to initiate a direct call to the assigned nurse
The call is automatically routed to the designated nurse’s device
This simple yet highly effective solution removes barriers to communication, ensuring that healthcare professionals can make informed decisions in real time.
Benefits of BSA PRO’s Direct Nurse Calling System
1. Eliminates the Need for Manual Contact Searches
Previously, doctors and healthcare staff had to search through contact lists or hospital directories to find the correct nurse’s number. BSA PRO automates this process, saving valuable time and allowing for instant nurse accessibility.
2. Reduces Communication Gaps
During nurse handovers, details can be lost, leading to inconsistencies in patient care. With direct calling, doctors can speak directly to the assigned nurse who is familiar with the patient’s condition, reducing the risk of miscommunication.
3. Ensures Immediate Patient Care
In emergency situations, every second counts. By providing instant access to the assigned nurse, BSA PRO accelerates the decision-making process, leading to quicker interventions and improved patient outcomes.
4. Enhances Workflow Efficiency in ICUs
Hospitals operate on a strict workflow to ensure seamless care delivery. By integrating BSA PRO’s nurse calling feature, hospitals can reduce response times, minimize disruptions, and enhance collaboration between medical teams.
5. Improves Patient Experience and Safety
A well-coordinated healthcare team contributes to a better patient experience. Timely responses to patient needs result in greater patient satisfaction, safety, and trust in the medical facility.
Why This Feature Is a Game-Changer for Hospital Management?
Smart Healthcare Innovation
With the increasing demand for digital transformation in healthcare, hospitals must adopt smart solutions to enhance their operational efficiency. BSA PRO’s nurse calling system is a cutting-edge technology that aligns with the future of healthcare by ensuring instant accessibility and real-time communication.
Seamless Integration with Existing Hospital Systems
BSA PRO is designed to integrate smoothly with hospital management software (HMS) and electronic medical records (EMR). This ensures that all patient-related communication is centralized and easily accessible within the hospital ecosystem.
Data-Driven Decision-Making
By utilizing the nurse calling feature, hospitals can track response times, analyze efficiency metrics, and optimize staff allocation to improve overall healthcare delivery.
The Future of Critical Care Communication
Grapes Innovative Solutions continues to pioneer healthcare IT advancements with intelligent hospital software solutions. The BSA PRO’s nurse calling feature is just one of many innovations designed to bridge communication gaps and enhance patient-centered care.
Implementation and Adoption
Easy Deployment: Hospitals can quickly integrate BSA PRO without major infrastructural changes.
User-Friendly Interface: Doctors and nurses can seamlessly use the feature with minimal training.
