BLOOD SOIL is the 2nd full album of the Angelico co-ed group Pushing Daises released on November 1st, 2023 alongside their short film by the same name. The album consists of 11 tracks with "Catch me" and "Frostbite" being the title tracks. The group promoted the album for two months, ending promotions with 750,000 copies sold worldwide and 8 music show trophies between the two songs.

The album is entirely self-composed, written, and produced by the members of Pushing Daisies, citing to have very little help from outside forces with this album. A majority of their creative direction for this comeback was under their leader, Zasha, who wrote and directed their short film as well.

Pushing Daisies were styled by Nakyung who drew inspiration from dollcore and the southern gothic aesthetic. Nakyung also did their hair and makeup, which were heavily influenced by dolls and horror movies.

OO1. Biggest moment for them this era was when the Blood Soil short film was aired at the Sundance Film Festivle. Blood Soil would go on to win "Short Film Grand Jury Prize" making them the first Angelico Artist to take home an American based film award. Their reaction to winning the award would go viral as all the members looked stunned and confused, looking around like a mistake had been made before going to accept their award.

OO2. They brought back their beloved reality series "BEYOND THE GRAVE" and ran for ten episodes. The members went on various adventures throughout the show's run such as getting locked in an escape room together, visiting famous haunted locations around the world, undergoing a test to discover if they have any supernatural abilities or sensitivities, gathering around a campfire or in a dimly lit room to share their own ghost stories or paranormal experiences, spending a night at a reputedly haunted hotel, watching their favorite horror movies together, and many more freaky adventures wherever Angelico decided to send the group.

OO3. The group kept their social media activeee during this era! Zasha went live on their YouTube channel where she went over her entire creative process behind Blood Soil and shared personal anecdotes and inspirations behind the lyrics of the album. She read excerpts from her personal diary during this live, showing drawings and sketches of the characters and outfits she envisioned for this project. It was very insightful and intimate experience for fans.

OO4. Nakyung and Elliot were the most promoted members, as usual, the pair becoming Inkigayo MCees which fans ate up. They would go viral for interacting with groups they used to be a part of or were almost a part of. A picture of Nakyung smiling brightly while Sena of Venus side eyes her was a big hit amongst Mysies who know how to take a joke unlike constellations, who didn't find it funny. While introducing STARZIE, Elliot would make a joke about almost being in the lineup, saying: "Here's the group I was rigged out of, Starzie!" And while the members were able to take the joke, Elliot would have to apologize to netizens on his Instagram story later that night.

OO5. That wasn't the only scandal that hit the group this comeback! Yeojun would be spotted leaving a club with Lunarix member Evie, causing a frenzy online and disputes between the group's fanbases. Angelico would swiftly release a statement but would avoid discussing the relationship status of the idols, only addressing that the club they went to was a reputable club and neither one of them engaged in "inappropriate activities". Still, both Yeojun and Evie would release apologies, stating they were close friends and were just hanging out. After this, Yeojun would be notably quiet for the rest of the promotions.

OO6. The group would get matching tattoos towards the end of the promotions, vlogging the whole experience and even sharing the design on their social media for fans to get the same design if they wanted to. The design was a simple daisy with a single falling petal. Many netizens saw this move as inappropriate as it "promoted getting tattoos" to their "young and impressional" fanbase. The group didn't address this stirr through Zasha would post a selfie with her tattoo on her story with the caption "get jobs" which many fans found hilarious.

daeyeol was so excited that he could get the chance to answer questions on his own solo vlive! he was also feeling a little pressured too.

the staff said that they would give him a countdown when the vlive would start. he had gotten his hair done nicely and decided to get a small trim. he also got some makeup done, just to make himself look a little less tired. with his commitments to future dreams, he was trying to put in his absolute all. looking good for the lgc fans were very important too.

when the manager gave the signal, it felt like his heart was going to jump out of his chest. he waved shyly for a second but then looked up to the top of the screen, realizing that as the comments began pouring in, daeyeol straightened himself up.

“hi everyone! this is future dreams and lgc trainee: lee daeyeol! it’s nice to meet everyone!” he greets them wholehearted, even going as far as to bow his head a little bit. he has a big smile on his face when he looks up as he explains the purpose of today’s vlive.

“today i’ve been given the opportunity to answer questions you guys have for me!” he smiles as he claps his heads together. “so please write out many questions! i can’t pick them all but i will try my best to answer as much as i can!” daeyeol smiles.

slowly, the screen starts to get full of comments. comments are whizzing by and daeyeol ends up giggling, mostly because he’s a little embarrassed on how quickly the comments are coming for him. it’s like an endless stream of words. there’s korean, obviously, but there are some english ones that he unfortunately doesn’t understand very well. there’s a question that is asked a few times in korean.

“d-daeyeolie asked ‘you’re on future dreams!! what took so long?” honestly the username enough made him laugh out loud. “wow what a cute username...” he comments, looking a little dazed with a big grin on his face. he then straightens up to answer. “it took me a long time because i wasn’t sure what i wanted to do. i was training and training... my brother is doing his own things and i’ve always wanted to be an idol but i didn’t feel good enough?” he pauses for a second to take a second to breathe.

“i guess i didn’t want to disappoint myself by not being picked... but i think it hurt me in the long run. what i mean by that is i wish i had done it sooner. sometimes you work really hard and then the results aren’t what you want! and you have to learn how to get back up and try again.” he replies as he sees more and more comments. “i hope that answered your question!”

the next question he chose was an interesting one. “seoulitaire asked, ‘i always see you smiling so brightly and i don't know why but that stuck out to me! my question is: are you someone that wears their heart on their sleeve, or do you hide your emotions behind your smile?” he pauses as he ends up saying, “waaaa, you guys are so unbelievable. these questions are so detailed!” he exclaims before he thinks for a second, scrunching his nose up before relaxing it.

“honestly, between you and me, i wear my heart on my sleeve all the time.” he chuckles. “if you ask my hyung this, he’ll surely tell you. when i was a kid i would cry when he would leave and cry when he came home. i’ve always been really emotional... i can’t even watch romance movies without crying.” he says, voice raising a big as excitedly talks about his feelings. “i’m just a huge softie.” he laughs as he leans in to see the comments, licking at his lips a little bit as he reads through more questions.

this one was interesting because it wasn’t about future dreams at all. it was just a simple question but it seemed like a lot of people were interested in it. “miraemirae asked, ‘what is the best part of your daily routine?’” what a good question. “nowadays... i like to call my hyung whenever i’m ready to go to sleep. i miss him a lot.” daeyeol stated. “sometimes we can video call and other times we just talk... i like falling asleep to hyung’s voice.” daeyeol smiles softly. “sometimes he even reads me the scripts that he’s practicing- but i won’t tell you anything!” he grins cheekily.

he scans for the next question. “ daeyeolsshiz asked, ‘what do you think star quality means?’ oooh this is a good question!” what a tricky question! “i think star quality refers to how much you stand out amongst others!” he smiles. 

“we have some people in my future dreams group who have amazing star quality... in my opinion of course.” daeyeol immediately thinks of jaesun, someone who shines so brightly on stage. “this is going to be the most difficult part of the next mission... showcasing my star quality.” he states out loud. “i have to get that gem in order to have the chance to debut so i need the chance to show that i too have star quality! i will definitely be working very hard so hopefully everyone can tune in for the next future dream’s episode.” he finishes with a smile.

the manager gives him the signal that he has only one more question to answer. as the comments continue to scroll on and on, he notices a unique one that he’d like to answer. “ari-nim asked ‘how does it feel to have to formally compete for a chance at debut?’ the final question!” daeyeol smiled. “i wanted to end on a bit of a heavier question so i can talk more,” he grinned, giggle into his hand before he straightened himself up.

“no matter what, us trainees are always competing! even if we didn’t have future dreams, i’m sure we would be doing more things behind the scenes!” he says with a light tone. “all of us at legacy work so hard and we’re allowing you to see our progression! sometimes, it doesn’t work out for all of us and we have to learn to grow and accept that... not everyone is going to get what they want... it’s still sad to see your friends eliminated when you want to walk with them.” he thinks back briefly to junhwan’s elimination.

“the goal is debut for all of us! and i am very grateful for my opportunity to be on future dreams! just even being picked had me so excited.” he adds in. “i’m so thankful to show myself off... i’ve kept myself off of many shows because i never thought i was ready for it yet... but i realized that i love talking and seeing everyone who is interested in me. i will be working so hard for my fans and hopefully, i can stage in front of a stage in front of everyone as soon as possible! i hope that answers your question- sorry i got a bit distracted at the end.” he laughs, his cheeks a little pink.

with that, his time had come to an end. he had managed to actually talk for a decent amount of time- maybe it was the nerves. “unfortunately everyone, i have to get going! i need to get going to dance practice!” he smiles. “but thank you all for staying with me. i really appreciate it! i hope everyone has a fantastic new years celebration with their families! eat lots of songpyeon for me!” he laughs.

“this has been lee daeyeol! have a great rest of your week everyone! i love you!” he does a cute heart pose with his arms over his head, his forearms and hands pointing downwards to make a large arm heart pose. his manager turns off the live and he holds the pose for a few extra seconds before exhaling. “do you think i did okay, hyung-nim?” he asks cutely and his manager just chuckles and pats him on the shoulder. “did i charm you?” he asks, adding more aegyo tones into his voice, which just causes his manager to laugh.

hello friends !! as with a lot of the posts on dash lately, i’m putting out a plot call.  this one is for subin’s vlive show QUICK MOVE!  (  pls stylize accordingly [ caps & exclamation point ] bc otherwise subin will be upset.  )  i’ll go into the details of the concept of his show and hopefully some people will be interested in joining him. /o/

CONCEPT  each episode, subin and his guests will do their best to learn a choreography from a popular choreographer  (  in this case, mostly 1million dance studio choreographers  ) in the time limit of an hour to see if they can do it, and how hard it would be.  they’ll give a final performance and then in a react portion, they’ll talk about the difficulties they faced when learning the choreography in a short time span and whether they think that their final performance was any good.  each of these episodes will be prerecorded so that editing can take place for the length and only the more interesting / funny clips of their learning sessions will be shown prior to the full performance.  AND THIS SEASON COMES WITH A NEW TWIST .... following last season where subin and his partner both went into the episode blind with the staff picking the choreography, a similar theme is introduced! once again, subin will not know the choreography ahead of time nor will he know that the staff has something up their sleeve ... this time, all episodes of quick move will be HEELS ONLY CHOREOGRAPHY!

TYPES OF MUSES   subin would generally prefer dancers of intermediate and above skill just because the show will be hard enough on them.  whether or not your muse can dance in heels can be up to you.  we don’t mind some slip ups on this round!  on that note, more importantly subin would like to invite members of legacy that he knows only.  he is not the type to invite people he does not know to this show based on his personality.  that being said, we can certainly preplot some things out so that subin would have known your muse beforehand if you’re interested in joining!!

madi: hi sexies! i’m madison ware and you are listening blonde and bubbly! this week is the week of love and for that i have four amazing guest for you guys! but before i present them, i’ll tell you which fantastic champagne we will almost all drink today! so the bottle of the day is an Armand de Brignac Gold Brut. without further ado, i’ll tell you guys our four guests! we have kazi and mia, and jinyoung and atlas! two married and solid couples that i have the pleasure to be friends with. i’ll start to interview jinyoung and atlas, then i’ll finish with mia and kazi!

madi: welcome atlas & jinyoung on this special valentines day episode of blonde and bubbly! I'm so hyped to have you guys!! Lets start without further ado with the first question: how long have you guys been together?

jinyoung:  over eight months I believe or in about that

madi: how did you guys meet?

atlas:  we grew up in busan, south korea, together, going to the same school and all though we weren’t actually friends. i always had a crush on him but i actually bullied him quite a bit because i was dumb and couldn’t even be nice to him. he ended up leaving to start training at bighit and i never really saw him until i came to the hills and we reunited

madi: this is so adorable!  what's your favorite memory of you guys?

atlas:  i have too many memories to choose from but i think getting to go with him on tour and see him do what he loves. it was really amazing to see how outgoing he was on stage and how he and the fans interacted and he even came down from stage to kiss me at every show so that was nice

jinyoung:  oh wow there’s so many. but i believe my favourite was when I took him to a dog cafe. you should’ve seen the way be lit up.

madi: awww!  who's the messiest?

atlas:  umm probably me, jinyoung is a clean freak and always is cleaning the house

jinyoung:  him. he probably said something about me cleaning the house. i like things clean. plus it gives me something to do

madi: i see..  what's your biggest pet peeve about your significant other?

jinyoung:  his stubbornness, in a way. my god, can that man get jealous. I want to smack him over the head sometimes but it’s not major.

atlas:  probably that he doesn’t realize how beautiful and amazing he truly is, but i’m working on it. he will realize it sooner or later.

madi: this is so adorable.  what's one thing you like the most in your significant other?

jinyoung:  his eyes, they’re what made me fall in the first place. he likes to believe he’s not soft but I could see it in his eyes, they’re warm, like home

atlas:  definitely his heart, he has the purest and kindest heart i’ve ever witnessed in a person. he sees the best in everyone (even if i don’t approve of it sometimes) and always wants to help make people feel better and make the world a better place. he truly is an angel

madi: im going to cry this is too much.  do you guys have any special plans for valentines day?

jinyoung:  uhh not that I’m aware of. I don’t make a big deal out of it because I think if you love someone it should be shown everyday not just go all out on the one day. but with that i’ll probably do something for him, maybe not big but meaningful

atlas:  i do have something planned that he does not know about and it will remain a secret until further notice

madi: oooooh...  Where was your first date?

jinyoung:  an aquarium. I love aquariums. anything water related tbh. i don’t even think I talked to him all that much I was too into the animals, but it was fun and he was very sweet.

madi: i love aquariums too!  What's your favorite thing to do together?

atlas:  personally.. my favorite thing to do with him is make breakfast. Well.. I normally make the pancakes and he will make the tea or cut the fruit. We are super domestic and always do stuff around the house together and take our dog for a walk or play with our cats, but I’d say waking up to him and then cooking breakfast together is a big favorite.

jinyoung:  I’m stuck between two. mornings, waking up to him and making breakfast and then watching the stars. those are just us things. the little things.

madi: this is all very romantic, i love it.  thank you so much for participating in this episode of blonde and bubbly, it was a pleasure to have you guys! I have one last questions for you guys; if you could give any relationships advice, what would it be? Thanks again for coming!

jinyoung:  ahhh you’re very welcome madi thank you for letting us on an episode. and oh gosh okay, um my advice would be communicate. I know a lot of people say this probably but it really is a big part. talk to each other, it can be hard sometimes but in the end it’s better. don’t hide things especially on how you’re feeling. whether you’re uncomfortable, or wanna try something. be open minded and respect each other’s choices. don’t wait to say things, just say them.  

atlas:  oh man, I really suck at giving advice but I will give it a go. I guess… don’t look for love or a relationship, it will come to you naturally and maybe when you least expect it. It could also be the person you least expect it to be, but definitely don’t wait around and look for love because when it is time it will come to you and if it’s meant to be it will be so amazing and life changing

madi: hi guys! tell us how long have you guys been together? 

kazi: been together for over a year, been married for 6 months, been crazy abt mia ALL the time:)

madi: and how did you guys meet?

kazi: we met in a lil town called toronto n she was sayin i liked toes in my butt? i hadn’t even TALKED to the lady before.. then we started dming and quickly became enemies

mia: i stayed in canada for a few months.. like two.. when i was 19 and i ran into him at a bar [wanted to know if they had mozzarella sticks] where i saw him flirting with eight different girls at once they were all competing for his attention he took them behind the bar one at a time and boinked dem all and i thought to myself well thats NOT sanitary so i started a rumor in the bar that he liked toes up his butt and he got mad and said hey, u there, stop spreading lies about me and the rest is history

madi: what's your favorite memory of you guys? 

kazi: my favorite memoryyyy idk there’s so many..when she told me she was pregnant (that‘s in the top 3 happiest moments of my life), when we got married, the whole day leading up to when i proposed n then when i actually proposed.. when we were fighting for like 2 days but we said we’d meet up on the beach in malibu to talk n we talked ALLL night n fell asleep there (didn’t get kidnapped by pirates).. when we babysat for luke and kaia the day after i told her i like her.. see there’s too many i could keep going 

mia: idk i cant pick one mostly because i cant remember my memory is terrible but also because theres so many.. but uhhh.. probably when we spent all night being weird and taking notes on each other and he was educating me about the weeknd and other artists he loved cuz i was really getting to know him and know what he loved 

madi: who's the messiest? 

kazi: i’m gonna say FATTY is the messiest esp cuz that one time he took a shit under the dining room table n it stinked the place up but i couldn’t find the freakin poop.. lil trickster 

mia: my boyfriend jose

madi: and what's your biggest pet peeve about your significant other? 

kazi: when she’s a stubborn freakin BRAT n she KNOWS i hate saying no to her so she keeps goin til she gets what she wants but i’m toughening up.. 

mia: not really a pet peeve but it just bothers me that hes kind of a pushover.. he’ll let anyone and everyone walk all over him wish he’d be more assertive and just punch someone in the face if they mess with him u know (i dont condone violence) 

madi: what's one thing you like the most in your significant other? 

kazi: i cant pick one thing cuz i love n adore everything abt her.. but i’ll say that i love her amazing sense of humor, her natural and genuine kindness, and her beautiful perfectly sculpted yiddies.. 

mia: hes so kind and genuine and loving to everyone and everything hes also really undertanding and patient especially with me

 kazi: no not yet, last year we went to paris and since mia’s pregnant this year we can’t go THAT far out but i think i might have an idea cookin so it’ll be fun

White Dove is an obvious choice to Carric considering the theme is about the purity of love, and how it can uplift you. Considering how Carric views love as being pure as it is, it seemed like it suited him quite well-enough.

Firefly (Receiver Mix) is about a wanderer, and always had a more ethereal theme to it. The Star Children are wandering souls, and the lyrics seem to call out to those: “and I walk the way the wind blows”. The slow motion of the song highlights the underlying loneliness that Carric experiences.

A Land Restored comes from the Guild Wars 2 soundtrack, which was really hard to sift through for really any of the playlists considering how relevant the music is. However -- this particular track is extremely hopeful and Carric is a person full of hope and light, so I think it suits him beautifully.

Surplus of Rare Artifacts comes from the massive, gorgeous space game EVE Online. This particular track had always been a favorite of mine and I feel like it fits Carric because of the soft whistling in the background, like someone trying to call out in the endless abyss of space.

I Am the One is a track I’ve posted before, from the Dragon Age: Inquisition soundtrack. The lyrics especially fit Carric, considering what he is as an ageless being of the stars. I am the one who can recall what we’ve lost ... I am the one who will live on. There’s something wistful and sad, but gorgeous at the same time. The mood and lyrics really explain Carric as a character: naive but wise and knowing at the same time. New to this world, but wary of death and longevity as a while.

Memory by Yoko Kanno comes from the amazing Cowboy Bebop soundtrack. This particular song is a theme that plays consistently through the episodes and borrows from Dream a Little Dream. I see this as a memory for the seer he loved and watched from afar, quite simply.

Shiro Long Tail is a depressing piece from the depressing anime Wolf’s Rain. I can see this as the overbearing sense of loss, especially when the seer he loved passed away.

Echoes shares a similar trait with many of the other songs on here, playing to a background theme of being lonely
