I don’t have anything written on this one yet, but as per my brand, this started off with me casting the roles so I’ll give you my thoughts on that.

Baz as the Beast

Penny as Cogsworth

Shep as Lumiere

Agatha as Belle

Niamh as the wardrobe

Simon as Gaston

Lady Ruth and Jamie as Mrs Potts and Chip

Simon would be significantly less skeevy and arrogant than Gaston, but the hunter thing just fits so well IMO. He’d err a little more on the monster hunter side of things, under the influence of the Mage, who would kind of be like that creepy asylum dude trying to run the town.

I haven’t decided what lures Agatha to the castle—maybe she’s just noping out of her stifling existence and doing something rebellious—but obv there’s no romance with her and Baz.

The kill the beast scene would have to happen much earlier and wouldn’t involve a mob wielding torches and pitchforks. Simon probably gets injured in the ensuing confrontation and has to convalesce inside the castle...
